I just recently finished Skyward Sword for the second time about a month ago. I love the combat in it. An absolute joy for me.

Heh heh heh... HA HA HA! AH HAH HAH HAH! I could not disagree more. I am all over the Master Cycle. They took my favourite bike (Jet bike) and improved it tenfold! What you're doing wrong is using Link. Ironically, he doesn't compliment it well. I'm using my Mii with wooden wheels and the Hylian Kite. The grip is twice as good as my old bike. No more struggling on off-road tracks for me! I lose a tiny bit of speed and half a bar of Handling. Well worth it, I am looking forward to seeing how it fares tonight. (Although, the internet here has been super crappy today, so I might have to give it a miss) EDIT: I noticed that the staff ghost on Wario's Gold Mine goes out of their way to get coins. Even when they have 10. Couldn't help but smile at that. Totally thrashed the time though.

Around 4 and a quarter hours until I saw the credits. Managed to collect 86% of items and over 33% of the feats. (Basically achievements. Some are just brutal and I doubt I'll ever do some of them) Think it's about time I gave my thoughts about the game. PROS + DAT SOUNDTRACK! So brilliantly catchy! And so loud, even with the pathetic XL speakers. + Man, this game looks good. Some fantastic sprite work going on here. + Some of the best 3D effect I've seen in a 3DS game. Really small details truly make all the difference. + The checkpoint system is genius. Nuff said. + Great replay value. + Fun use of streetpass. It's no last minute addition, that's for sure. + Simple but surprisingly charming story. + Controls are spot on, not to mention customisable. You don't have to use Up + Attack to use relics. + Healthy dose of challenge. It's tough, but not impossible. CON - I don't care if it makes it tougher, Castlevania knockback is unfair when there's bottomless pits. Luckily, the punishment for death is pretty lenient. Yeah, that's the only con I could think of. And it's pretty minor. As for whether I'd say it was GOTY material (which @Goron_3 asked me) No. As brilliant as it is, there are at least two 3DS games I enjoyed more. (Smash Bros and Theatrhythm) I'd say this is about Bayonetta 2 levels of greatness, which is pretty damn great.

I'm not sure whether I like this or not... Say, for example, every character was as equally good as each other (Just go with it). I can't help but feel that would make the game more boring for me. It's funny when everyone chooses random and someone gets lumped with a character they're no good with. It's even funnier when that person manages to pull off a unexpected victory. (I did this yesterday with Diddy while fighting @Dcubed and his sis) I may be a casual player with Smash, but I do notice changes. It took me roughly 5 seconds to realise Meta Knight blows chunks now. And I'm fine with that. I'm plenty good with Greninja, Shulk, Mii, etc. Guess I just realised while typing this, that I'm not cool with it...

Yeah, I'm drawing quite a few blanks myself. Especially when it comes to Toon Link. As far as weapons go, the Deku Leaf and Wind Waker are already in this. I don't think there's any thing else we can take from this weapon-wise. So what about Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks, any unique weapons from that? Zelda getting a Phantom would be pretty sweet.

For the record, there are a few optional bosses and levels. Plus all sorts of hidden stuff to find. It's definitely worth the 12 quid, take it from someone who's finished the game. (Truly Glorious, will talk about in more detail later.)

3DS Version. My TV is too small and I don't have online access in my house. WiiU one is completely worthless to me. Plus, you get a free Shovel Knight theme with the 3DS version. (For Europe only)

Sleep mode is not the same as Save states. It's not even the same as a quick save. Don't tell me that you've never paused Majora's Mask so you can do something else. Everyone has done that. This shouldn't even be an issue, really.

The N64 Rainbow Road is one of the most boring tracks in Mario Kart history. There's almost no risk, just a few easily avoidable Chain Chomps. And it's FAR too long. 3 laps on that is pure torture. I mean, look at how much MK8 had to jazz it up. And it's still too easy. The WiiU one may not be very rainbow-y, but at least it's somewhat challenging. Tricky corners, a few risky shortcuts and an actual chance of falling off. It's about as good as the Gamecube Rainbow Road. (Which I see as OK)
