    This news has only encouraged me to go out and buy that DVD now.

     

    Such a classic, did Kinju direct BR2? I havent seen that one, mainly because its nowhere to be found near by, but if he did I may as well trawl ebay for a copy of it.

    I am writing this on my macbook right now and all I can say is that anyone proclaiming it to be shit just because of the graphics card hasn't got a clue.

     

    This thing is fast, light, portable and cheap. The only complaint I have is that base RAM isn't enough, but thats only about £60 to fix. I have installed windows and that runs unbelievably well- games like Guild Wars run smoothly and HD trailers are amazing. For a student like me, its the best thing I have ever purchased (writing essays on the new keyboard is so easy :grin: )

     

    But for anyone getting this, I have one warning- while it is a great purchase, don't expect to have it on your lap for too long. The area near the magsafe port gets HOT.

     

    In reply to something earlier, iphoto and imovie are fine (but upgrade the RAM) but photoshop is USELESS. It isnt universal yet and is being emulated in Rosetta, so it runs at an awful rate. If you want to use it, then wait for them to make it universal (2007) or just use it in windows.

    I think the rule is if your exams add up to more than 6hrs in one day, you can take some a day later, but you have to go spend the night at a teachers house and they basically have to keep an eye on you so you don't ring anyone up/communicate with the outside world.

    Yeh, I had an acer as well- it was very porrly made. Flimsy, cheap and very breakable and after a year (a few days out of warranty) the DVD drive, battery and charger all broke. It had a good spec, but I would never buy an Acer again.

    Hey all, I need a little help...

     

    Recently, I decided to make a home cinema system (projector, amplifier etc) and was wondering, what is the best media PC for such a set up? I have tons of movies and music on my hard drive and wanted an easy way to put it all on the screen- a media PC.

     

    I am currently thinking mac mini because its small, cheap and mac (Ive always wanted one). But I really would like any input from you guys about a better one.

    Yeh, I know about it but to do it this way? Having all these people thinking its a joke, probably laughing and dying in such a horribly painful way is just weird. How can anyone want to die? How do you know there is anything waiting for you when you do die?

    I dont know how many of you play guild wars, but this weekend is the factions pvp weekend! We get to play with the new professions and skills and we can try out the battle isles, the new pvp area. Im going to be online all weekend (sleep? pfft, only noobs sleep) and I hope I will see you all there.

    In any sort of conversion, some quality will be lost. That said, it won't be too much so you will get a better picture than a standard 480i, but not quite what a native output would get you. Close, but not quite.

    Now, I imagine most of you have passed this little stage in life already but I am now living it and its a bitch. The pressures huge and the hours are long. Anyone got any advice or just something to stop me killing myself?

    Well, those are some seriously good laptops but as far as I am concerned this is only important in one aspect...

     

     

    DUAL BOOTING MAC ON PC'S!!

     

     

    Seriously, they already managed to crack the 'work in progress' tiger to get it on non-apple computers and now that the OS is officialy out, that means its only a short time until we have the mods needed to use it on normal computers! Hell, if apple released tiger for PC I would buy it. We know they wont so this will have to do.
