  1. New Wii Firmware version available: V2.1E

AllUC.org streams everything from South Park to Adam and Joe Go Tokyo. I just get a white screen now, I imagine all the others have been blocked too.
  2. New Wii Firmware version available: V2.1E

Well Nintendo, as cartman would say- you can suck my balls. Say goodbye to those 500 points you would have had come July, because I'm not paying for a crippled web browser- if I want to watch old BBC shows paid for my on licence fee- such as Doctor Who then I will. Bye bye monies, bare pirates would have paid just to watch cartoons and shows on their TV. I don't want to get into the technicalities of whether you think these sites are wrong, or illegal.. or whether you think I should just buy the DVD. It is a question of freedom- something that is a right online, and Nintendo has no right to censor what I want to see on Wii.
  3. New Wii Firmware version available: V2.1E

    Blocks AllUC.org for me.
  4. That's the thing- why should I pay for an inferior version. I have no problem testing roms before I buy them.. I played Mario 64 on rom before I copped £7 on it. But Nintendo are losing my money, and interest at an alarming rate because they cannot be arsed to provide stimulating updates. What if Channel 4 said, oh well we can't be arsed to show Desperate Housewives this week.. so here's an old episode? People would be fucked off. This is content delivery, and I see an uninspiring lack of content- considering their "stellar" library available. It is blatant raping of our wallets because they know when consumers have their choice restricted- they will settle for second best. If it was 1 game a day- and 1 day they uploaded a shit game, no big deal- there's always tomorrow. But this is not enough. I was being sarcastic about the whole childish thing, I just wanted to kick Nintendo while they appear to be riding a wave of bullshit.
  5. One funking game?

This is thread worthy. Nobody buy it. I'm going to sleep.
  6. One funking game?

You don't want to know, it is on the NES and it made me puke.
  7. One funking game?

Actually don't buy anything on the virtual console this week. This isn't acceptable. Tell everyone to do the same.. I am going to kick my feet and make a huge deal out of this.
  8. Driver: Parallel Lines discussion

Reviewers were picky with the game.. but they found so many things to pick at that it meant that writing a balanced review was very difficult. This angered them hence the low scores.

  10. Spare Time

    Wait for things to happen,
  11. Driver: Parallel Lines discussion

The people jump out of the way so it will basically be a 3+ which coincidentally ties in nicely with the score it will get. I never liked the driving model in Driver 1 so gave up on the series then.
  12. Driver: Parallel Lines discussion

    HAAHHAHAHAHAH x2
  13. Case Closed

    Lets contrast two styles.. badly.
  14. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

First output from Fall Line Studios with Disney (for Wii/DS only) and I think you'll be suprised. They aren't ports really.. they've got Wii devkits and think about the control mechanics from day one. I'm not getting them as they're collectathons for 7 year olds. First step to higher standards for child gamers is to devote a studio to the consoles they like.
  15. Godfather: Blackhand Edition

Gimmick controls that ruin the flow of a game that feels 3 years older than it actually is. Sorry no sale, even if this is the only sandbox game on the Wii. I've moved on EA. No disrespect, it's probably the best EA outing in a while. Seeing as the license nearly crippled them I respect them for putting so much effort into the conception. It's unlike them.
  16. Bill Gates: Nintendo strongest foe

I was gonna get a PSP, then they delayed it 6 months, charged £40 more than the States and it had fuck all games. Nothing felt cooler than Wipeout on the bus with custom soundtracks. Mario Kart DS pak please.
  17. Bill Gates: Nintendo strongest foe

He came up with the concept of a mass market device with less buttons. He apparently had an assistant to help him play Go! on the NES back in the 80s. He told the guy where to move and he did it. There is some documentary about it. But literally the interviewer (some blonde) tries really hard to get an interview, failing miserably. Not worth watching unless you are bored.
  18. EMA Payments (a rant)

I had to get a job, which made my day 7am to 7pm some days, it burnt me out- it pisses me off because when well off parents split up the kids often get spoilt. But because of data protection the bank details of the other parent cannot be taken into consideration. So while I'm a pauper all these rich cocks are getting £30 a week and all the girls spend it going tanning. I don't like that the system has nothing for extenuating circumstances, but I blagged my unreasonably priced bus pass out of the staff. From what I understand- EMA is for people who attend every lesson at college, if you do not for say a driving test or a health appointment then a letter must be given to the people in charge. If you turned up late or not at all you don't get it- so stop whinging when you live in a country that supports education more than it needs to. University excluded because that's a super cash cow now. If you leave yourself dependant on EMA and don't meet their criteria (XX hours a week on time and accounted for) then boo hoo. For some short sighted people though going to college is for smart people only- and it's a waste of time unless you go to university which isn't necessarily true. It's a good initiative and gets a lot more diversity in colleges. It works wonders for some people- I know people who said they're gonna do stuff at my local institute because of EMA instead of working with family or friends straight out the gate. You also have to be on something like £30,000 before tax per year to qualify for the lowest EMA which is £10.
  19. I'll go against logic with this one

Hahah I was reading their site the other day- such a bad typo. Sadness will be AAA game. I think they meant to say Sadness wil be a game. They're legit Nintendo developpers now, but really all we've seen is some bad stock acting in black and white with some fancy artwork. I'm interested but I really don't see why their PR man won't let them speak- it makes me think that progress is slow in Poland. They say they're concentrating on the Wii game even though DS Raid over River was already on the way and easier to be a success on.
  20. Konami's Cancelled Titles

Oh really? Third party use of Miis confirmed then. Sims JP + Baseball. The Japanese love their baseball. With the western game cancelled for the GameCube (Pennant Chase) moved over to Wii, it might not even get released here.
  21. Super Mario Galaxy

Mario 128 is an umbrella term for Mario's development. It will never be a game. Mario Galaxy (which is still technically a work title) might be renamed for hype closer to release.. I think it makes sense to keep it though. In Kyoto, Miyamoto and co. constantly play with technology, their one aim is to see how they can make you control Mario, it's a simple concept and they have hundreds of ideas. They experiment, pick and mix ideas- develop them into a package. Why Mario Sunshine didn't live up to the Mario name is because 64 offered something new, Sunshine did it prettier. People expected more. This Mario (Galaxy) introduces several ideas taken from project 128 into a neat bundle called Mario Galaxy- they still have ideas for future games, and they spend their days working on more. Some don't work- some require their own game or even console to work properly. Mario's aim is to remain fresh unlike Sonic, and offer new ways for people to interact with what is going on screen- simple really, it's why Sega failed and Mario is still just as hot.
  22. I'll go against logic with this one

Project Hammer the name is shit enough to make me not even look at it. The way Reggie described it- maybe he was nervous or something.. err with this game we know you like to smash stuff- so we made Project Hammer! What a fucking concept- smash stuff. Worst game on the Wii confirmed, worse than Fruit Fall. edit. I'm indifferent about Disaster- depends how the game is flowed and whether the format suits the crisis game- it could be very good.
  23. New Wii Firmware version available: V2.1E

By requiring the user to select an update it stops malicous software being put onto the Wii over Bluetooth, wirelessly or other routes. It's a simple security thing- and barely takes a minute of your life. I'd rather have a choice than a bricked Wii because some funkster. It doesn't apply so much to the Wii but the DS had a little trojan that hopped from DS to DS when WiFi mode was enabled and it bricked your DS. The writer apologised.
  24. Bill Gates: Nintendo strongest foe

Ahahah Japanese business is not compatible with US business. There are completely different cultures- and as you point out Nintendo is highly profitable. Literally everyone in the company from head to toe would have to agree to the buy out- and basically that is not possible. Where as in the States capitalist business models are slightly simpler where shareholders are the decision makers and it is a much less personal thing. In Japan business is just as ruthless- they drive bargains just as well as Microsoft, it's just less about balls and more about money there. If you get me. Nintendo will never sell- they are very smart, I do question Iwata's leadership skills- but he's a rookie in comparison to Yamauchi.
