Well 7 hours to go untill I get mine now!

Damn I'm not even tired. Now normally on a Thursday I would fall to sleep while watching ECW but I don't see that happening tonight...

It all comes down to one man: Vince McMahon. Everything has to throught him. ECW was supposed to be different from RAW and Smackdown but in the end it was the same old stuff WWE puts on week in week out. The fans wanted ECW to be like it was but that was never going to happen because Vince has his own idea of what wrestling, sorry, sports entertainment should be. If he had given the fans what they wanted it would have be a lot more successful than it is now. When ECW first aired on Sci-Fi in the US the ratings were very good because people were excited by the fact that ECW was coming back. But they soon dropped as fans began to realise that it wasn't going to be the old ECW. It was going to be WWE's sports entertainment version. Exactly the kind of thing we see on RAW and Smackdown.

5:30am: Wake up and get ready. 5:50am: Jump in my car and drive to my mates workplace. 6:00am: My mate jumps in the car and we take the short journey to the local GAME. 6:10am: Park my car and get out and walk up to Game. Hopefully there won't be many people waiting outside already. Not really sure what to expect. Whip out DS and play for a bit and wait... 7:00am: Rush into Game and politely aks for my Wii console with Zelda (of course), Super Monkey Ball, Red Steel, Wii Play and a extra nunchuk. I will hand over my credit card, put in my PIN and run to the car with all my goodies! Forgetting to take my card back and to take my mate home!!! I'm gonna configure all the setting first then make Mii. Then it will be Wii Sports for a little bit. Then Zelda... Should be fun.

I haven't played on my GameCube for ages now! I will have to play a few games on it tonght, probably for the last time ever:weep:. I remember when I was waiting for the GameCube launch all those years ago. Man, it really doesn't feel that long ago at all but it was over 4 years ago! Shit, where does the time go? I can still remember waiting outside Dixons on launch day (skiving college) and finally get into the shop to get my 'Cube, games and accessories. The long bus journey home, running from the bus stop into my house and taking out the purple box for the first time. Holding the brilliant controller and finally putting Super Monkey Ball in the GameCube for the first time. And finally playing something I had waited ages to play. Great memories but now it's over and I have Wii to look forward to...

Could have been worse, we could have had to wait until March or something like that.

Yes! Finished work for a long weekend so now I just have to get tonight over with and I'll have a Wii!!! I think I'll try and finish Yoshi's Island DS tonight (should pass sometime), watch some TV and try and get to sleep (it's gonna be like xmas eve when I was a kid!).

Europe gets shit again! If we don't get games that were unreleased in Europe I will be really pissed off. Why do different regions get different games anyway? I would have liked to see us all get the same.

VIP started at with the GameCube launch. It sounded like a really good idea when they announced it but it turned out to be shit mostly. I was kinda wondering if they would continue with the VIP Stars so this confirms that they will be. Hopefully I can get some VC games with my 13,745 stars.

I paying for Wii with my credit card. It's 0% interest for 3 months so I'm not really that bothered about using it.

I was thinking about what I could play then I remembered I have got Yoshi's Island DS still to play. Silly me. Not long to go now!!!

I got a call from Game today saying that games and accessories will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. I already knew this a couple of weeks ago and I still think it's shit.

Just don't let go of the controller. Simple really.

I know. I wouldn't play on it if I could now. I want to experience it in my own home on Friday. I don't even want to see the console for real untill I take it out the box, so I hope my local GAME store don't have one on show!

My parents did the same with New Super Mario Bros. I couldn't get on my DS lite for ages! My parents were interested in the Wii after they saw it on the news today.

Hopefully I'll get everything I want with mine: Zelda, Red Steel, Monkey Ball, Wii Play & Nunchuk. Me and my mate are gonna get down to GAME at about 6:30am (maybe earlier depending on what time he gets out of work) and wait outside. I just hope there isn't loads of people already there.

Holy shit I will be playing this on Friday! Damn, it seems a life time ago since I saw the E3 Zelda trailer for the first time. At the time I never thought I would have to wait so long for it and that I would be playing it on a totally different system!

Well I was gonna watch ECW PPV but I've heard it is very poor. WWE did such a piss poor bulid up of this PPV that I wasn't interesed in it at all. I thought the elmination chamber might have been a fun bout but I can't be bothered to watch it!

What a shit week for work to ask me to do overtime! So now I'm working 8am till 6:30pm instead of my usual 8 till 4:30 shift. Dammit! At least I have Friday and the following Monday off.

I'm number 34 at my local Game. I was told my local would be opening early as well. They said it could possibly be 7am they open. Probably find out next week.

Don't need the classic controller (as I have GameCube pads) but I'm going to get one anyway!

I remember when I saw the Wii controller for the first time and just thinking what the hell? Then when I actually watched the video of what it could actually do I got very excited! I also remember thinking what the hell when they renamed the console Wii. All the anger and all the wee jokes on the net! I hated the name at the time but now I don't mind it at all.

My local GAME said there would be a shortage of games and accessories. The guy said they would be selling them on a first-come-first-served basis. So no pre ordering:mad: I think that's total bollocks though. As I said in the pre order thread: isn't that the point of pre ordering things so you can actually get what you want? My Game=stupid.

Console launches are always exciting. GameCube was the first console I bought on launch day. I was at college at the time so I had to miss my morning lecture to go over to Newcastle and pick up my console. I thought that I would have the rest of the day at college but to my relief the day's lectures had been cancelled. I was supposed to go and study in the library but I jumped on the bus and went home! Nice memories. I've booked Friday & Monday off work for the Wii launch.
