OCGN's hiring!

First off, this is not a blatant effort to advertise. The moderators here may see it that way, but the intent just is not there.

OCGN (Online Console Gaming Network -- http://www.ocgn.com --) is a site dedicated to covering all aspects of online gaming on current and next-generation consoles. We have some big plans in store for the site and in order for us to carry out these plans, we need to expand our existing staff. OCGN will be relaunching shortly around the time of the release of the Xbox 360 so we can place more focus on all of the three next-gen consoles. With the relaunching of the site, we have decided to split the site into three channels, each channel covering one of the next-gen consoles. Essentially, we have decided to also split up the responsibilities of the staff, meaning each individual staff member would only be expected to contribute to one channel of the site.

I have the task of looking to bring the right people on board for the Revolution channel of OCGN. I thought what better place to start looking for possible candidates, than here at Cube/Revo-Europe--a community full of avid Nintendo fans, many of whom want to play Nintendo games online. If you're interested in becoming a part of the OCGN team, please visit this link (http://www.ocgn.com/feature.asp?aid=248) and follow the instructions there. However, instead of sending your application to [email protected], please send it to my address, [email protected] because I will be the person responsible for putting together a Revolution team at OCGN.

We are also currently debating whether or not to add DS and PSP channels, since both handhelds are online capable systems. Please include in your application whether or not you would also be interested in contributing to this aspect of the site.

As I already stated, we have some pretty big plans for OCGN in the future. Although the site may look somewhat dull at the moment, we have a lot of surprises in store for fans of online console gaming in general. We really want to expand our Nintendo community and I hope there are some people here interested in helping us out.

Thanks,

Chris Byrne

Associate Editor, OCGN.com

P.S. By the way, I'm also in the market for some Graphic Designers (not just News Reporters as I alluded to earlier, sorry) that would be interested in helping out with the Revolution channel. There's certainly a lot of artistic talent here at Cube/Revo-Europe as well, so hopefully someone's willing to help us out in that regard. If interested, please send in an application showing off an example of your work.

I'm sure this message will either be locked or moderated, but that's okay. I'm just trying to get the word out. I'm not in any way trying to advertise the site, I'm just trying to find the right people to help out the Revolution (and possible DS) channels of the site, since both systems will be online capable. Keep in mind, all work is voluntary, but there are some perks that come with the job (i.e. free games, access to E3, etc). Thanks again.

Thanks again.
