I've treated myself to a wireless router, but i'm having a few problems.

I've set the router up via Ethernet port on the PC, and it half works.

The NIntendo DS easily connects. Norton must have connected too since the auto-update came through. But as for looking at webpages on the PC, its not happening.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm (unfortunately) using TalkTalk who provided me with a cheapo USB BB modem when i signed up.

If you had dial up, you are going to have to blow those settings out and reconfigure for Broadband in Internet Explorer.

Norton is the bane of computing...please use anything else...they just work better. Avast, blackice, sygate, AVG, Zonealarm, AntiVir , anything!!

Norton might be blocking the web browser? And I second what nukeblaze said, use something else than norton. But don't go antivir, it's as crap as Norton. I have tried it a few times and all it does is causes random crashes and other annoying stuff. AVG + Kerio ftw :D

Probably it would, but then you are vulnerable to viruses etc. But if you haven't forwarded any ports from the router to the comp you should be relatively safe. If you disable norton, try putting the windows firewall on and see if the problem persists.
