Wii on course to win console wars.

If the GameFAQs user base is anything to go by, then the Wii is going to be the most popular console, next year at any rate.

 

GameFAQs' Poll of the Day on Saturday asked which console you would own this time next year (phrased this way presumably to dissuade people from letting price sway their vote):

 

All three - 6.62%

PS3 and Wii - 16.69%

PS3 and 360 - 5.28%

Wii and 360 - 13.18%

Just a 360 - 5.31%

Just a PS3 - 17.03%

Just a Wii - 27.57%

None of them - 8.32%

 

Wii: 6.62 + 16.69 + 13.18 + 27.57 = 64.06%

PS3: 6.62 + 16.69 + 5.28 + 17.3 = 45.89%

360: 6.62 + 5.28 + 13.18 + 5.31 = 30.39%

 

Now is it me, but does this indicate pretty strongly that the Wii has every chance of cleaning up when it is released? Nearly two-thirds of hardcore gamers will own one. And with the Wii being aimed just as much at the casual gamer, surely they have won before it's even begun?

 

But then, it is just a GameFAQs poll.
