Guest Jordan Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Yo guys, over the past couple of months my PC has been crashing on everything but literally 2 games. It blue screens, but the text is "split" and unreadable when it does. Minidump reports read it could be anything since its random things that crash, Steve (Piro) suggested lowering my command rate on my ram and putting the speed down. This didn't work, then i realised that when my PC got to an overall case temperature of 33.6C or above it crashed. Could it be cooling? I've had all my fans for about 2 years now. I was thinking about buying a new CPU fan: http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?quicklinx=3VBN&InMerch=1 and some ram heatsinks: http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?quicklinx=3W23&InMerch=1 Would this change anything? Thanks in advance. EDIT: My current fans CPU: Offical AMD Athlon 64 Fan Case fans: 1 side, 2 back, 1 top of case (none cooling my several HDD) Other: Graphics card standard fan
Bogbas Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 I can only recommend the zalman CNPS6000-Cu My athlon xp 2600+ temps dropped by 20C using this fan/heatsink. And you can attach another fan to the handle to cool the graphics card and other PCI cards. off topic: I think that this site(revo-europe) is down way more than before...
Guest Jordan Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Yes, RE is having mass downtime. Nevermind, i fixed it. Swapped out the mobo for one i had going spare and all is now well.
