thunderer Posted September 4, 2008 Share Posted September 4, 2008 Ok well earlier this evening i finished building my new pc. It would be awesome except i'm having trouble installing Windows XP! I bought the OEM version of XP because... Well i thought it was stupid to pay like £150 for XP when the OEM is a third of the price! The box says you need to use an OEM pre-installation kit, or OPK, i've hard plenty of stories where the OPK isn't needed so i've tried installing the OEM OS and its freezing for about 5-10 minutes on the very begining of the setup 'Windows setup loading', i then get a BSOD. Basically i would really love some help on this! If anyone knows of a way to get an OPK without becoming an MS partner then please let me know, any past experiences e.t.c would be appreciated!
