Schumachers strange end note to Phantom

I just saw the movie adaption of Phantom of the Opera. Very strange. When the end credits rolled a country song was played; or at least it sounded a lot like a country song: country guitars and a singer who definitely was more country than musical. haha... oh well, the movie was nice anyways.. hey! what am i ranting about here!? that end country melody was like cherry on the cake! While on the subject of movie adaptions of famous musicals, I want more. Musicals work really great as movies, though I can imagine there are exceptions to the statement...
