no it want as it only works with an NTSC Wii not Pal

Yes, there is a difference unfortunately.

An NTSC Wii will output composite, S-Video and Component.

A PAL Wii will output composite, RGB (SCART) and Component.

The Gamecube was the same. In the UK where SCART is a standard it is OK,

but here in Australia SCART is not very common and S-Video is more likely.

Therefore if you don't have a TV with component you are stuck with crappy composite only.

There won't be an S-Video cable in PAL regions.
