  1. Gameplay's release calender is pretty good for looking at upcoming games, but not many have a release date yet.

Usually I'd agree with you, but lately Gameplay's calendar has gone completely off the rails.

Just look at what is supposedly being released at the end of this month for Xbox 360:

    C&C 3

    Bioshock

    Brothers In Arms

    Medal of honor

    Alone in the dark

    The darkness

    Indiana Jones 2007

    Timeshift

    Too Human

    Shadowrun

    Hellboy

    etc

I appreciate that they might not be given an exact release date and need to put the games on their site for pre orders, but why can't they just put TBA 2007 or something rather than making a mockery of their release calendar pages. The same thing is happening for the Wii release calendar too.

  2. Worms is pretty cool, just remember to create your own team name in the options screen for extra laughs. Although I just found out that some names are blocked and will be replaced by generic names (mine were "God" and "Jesus"!)

If anyone gets a funnier team than Caris's "Kiddy Fiddler" team I'd be surprised though!

  3. We're getting the video/movie marketplace this Winter. The Official 360 magazine stated this.

Free HD south-park episode?! Gonna downalod that now...

Makes sense, that's around the time the BT video on demand service starts too, and i thought that microsoft and bt were in partnership to bring it over here.

  4. Can you buy points from Live, with a Debit Card?

Visa, American Express or Mastercard. Which sucks to be honest.

You can of course buy MS Points cards from shops/online stores using whatever payment method the shops allow.

Well it's basically what I expected, which is a fecking awesome Worms game. Basically if you don't like Worms then you wont like this. I think it could maybe do with few few different environments in a download pack or something, and I would have liked the baseball bat, but apart from that it's great.

The only thing is I'm out of practice, since I haven't played Worms since I had Armeggedon years ago, so I'm over hitting my shots or under hitting them, and missing slightly. Hopefully I'll be better after a few hours play.

I've heard some reports that the controller doesn't work as well as the traditional keyboard/mouse scheme. Is it ok to control?

  5. Think I'm bored of Crackdown. It's like... the first city x 3 but harder. Once I cleared the first part, and found loads of orbs it's just like... not a lot else to it but do exactly the same but get shot at by far more guys.

Meh, I might go back to it.

Keep it up, the ending is pretty cool. Plus there's always co op!

  6. Ok, but do you know of any websites/ forums that specialize in this area, so at least I could see if the idea is feasible or not?

    What area? What idea?

The problem is, if I was an expert brick layer I couldn't just decide that I'm going to build a shop and start a business in it and expect it to be sucessful. You need to approach the start of a business with the idea of what the business does to make money, is there a significant market in the area of choice and is the competition too fierce. If you create a "me too" online business that just emulates one of the sucessful companies (amazon, google, ebay etc), expect it to fail.

If you're a web designer by trade, consider being a designer for hire, many small businesses will give you a decent price for a prefab website to promote their wares. Design the best looking site you can to promote your work, show as many examples of different websites as you can and get businesses to email you with their requirements for design. Then promote like mad using things like Google Ad-words.

  7. But wouldn't that be fantastic marketing because then everyone would want it therfore prchase the content and increase revenues for Team 17

I can't remember if these are offical rules or not but the Microsoft guys were compiling a list of "marketplace commandments" and I'm sure one of them was that no one can release premium content that will give a user an advantage over users without the content. So if it IS an official rule then i doubt they could charge for it (and if they did i'm sure there would be a bit of an uproar about it)

  8. WMD-fest? I can understand that, but I want the option to blow half the map up!

I NEED SELECT WORM!!(Throws toys out of pram!)

Well he didn't say it in those exact words but that's what he meant!

Won't not having the select worm option mean the game will be a little more strategic though?

  9. Just a few points mentioned in a Team 17 interview on the Major Nelson podcast:

    • The holy hand grenade and other missing weapons were taken out in order to balance the game and not turn it into a WMD-fest

    • You can name your worms to personalize them

    • There will be downloadable voices for the worms fairly soon that they couldn't fit into the main download

  10. A sequel??? How the heck would they manage to do a sequel I thought all the plot was wrapped up nicely I want a 3d megaman game - imagine Megaman 64 in HD

*Blows out the mind of everyone in Japan, with one thought*

How many sequels of Megaman have there been and how many times has Dr Wily/Other main boss died at the end of the games?

Truth is, Capcom can shoehorn a sequel into pretty much any game regardless of the previous games plot and conclusion.

Example: During the events of Dead Rising, an off duty policeman takes his daughter and wife to the nearby "Willamette Theme Park" and discovers the infection has spread further than anyone realised. Can he rescue his family and escape the zombie horde without also becoming one of them?

    Well, you get the point!

  11. Microsofts bringing out a 512mb card this year in america and the 64mb card is dropping to $29.99 No word on pricing or date for UK.

Does anyone NOT have a hard drive these days? This is only good news for me because the arcade download limit has increased accordingly.

  12. I`ve finally got Live Gold! and I need some friends.

I`ve got Burnout Revenge, Gears of War and Luminies Live.

Add me :D How good are you at Burnout? Cus I need some achievements on that game but everyone online is are really good at Burnout and I'm only just really getting into it.

I'll help you if you help me, catch me some time as long as i'm not playing Alien Hominid.

Well if everyone is getting into Burnout revenge, I might as well put that down as my next rental on SwapGame! Expect me to have it on Wednesday.
