  1. Gameplay and recently GAME do aswell. You been having problems with gameplay?

Not strictly their fault but I've just moved into a new house which has recently been built so my new post code isn't recognised so i can't change my delivery details. I emailed them to ask if they could change the address anyway with the postcode validation stuff and they said they couldn't.

  2. There's no way I'll be getting more than about 5 achievements in this game, they consume way too much time that could be better spend playing other games.I'll do my best to see the entire story but after that, it's gone.

  3. I think it's great that the Wii is creating all these new audiences, i sometimes think of most consoles being similar to a TV with only 3 channels, Sci-Fi channel, Cartoon Network and an action movie only channel. Hopefully as the different audiences expand we'll see other channels appearing offering other types of games, alongside the existing channels and appreciate the variety of playing a game that isn't a sci-fi shooter or a cartoonty adventure all the time. Variety is the spice of life and all that.

  4. It sold amazingly well because it WAS for the "casual" audience. It just meant a different thing back then.

Which i why I placed the word "New" before the word "Casual" . I think the people buying the Wii now are different to the people buying GTA3 back in the day. Once some more traditional games come along, such as Mario and the like, they will attract more of the old "Casual".

  5. Finally finished Disk 1, which was a bit of a grind towards the end. I'm now level 21/22 and the time on the clock is 14 hours (though some of that is time paused I think). I'm just hoping Disk 2 and 3 are a little more exciting story wise.

  6. Regarding the Classes its just like the job system in Final Fantasy games. Depending on what Class you are determines what moves you learn. So if you are a Black Magic user then you will learn attack speels but being a White Magic user you will learn healing spells.

Now, say I have learnt all the attack spells I want to learn and then decide I want that character to learn some white magic I will change the class type to white mage but when this happens I still keep all the spells I learnt from the black mage but can also use any new ones I learn as a white mage.

Depending on what class you are also determines the strength of your stats. So if you are say a Monk then you will have high HP and Attack but lower Magic Def.

Hopefully this isnt confusing for you. To be fair I think most people will be able to storm through the game aslong as you are a high enough level.

What level are you at guyfromsparks? I have just past the Murial Mountains and im on level 22.

Cheers for all that, makes sense...

I think I'm on level 17ish and just entered the Gul Mountains (i think that's the name). I've made a point of killing almost every enemy in the dungeon areas but avoiding as much as I can on the overworld, seems to be working out.

So does anyone have any tips for when to change classes and what class to change to?

  7. I have kept the same classes all the way up to now. It is pretty cool being able to mix and match abilities. I may change some of them now though as I have leanrt all the moves with Shu and Jiro.

I'm nearing the end of the first disc and haven't changed any of the classes yet, how do you know when you've learnt all the moves for a class? Not sure I understand the whole class thing to be honest (not got the instructions because it's a rental) so any help with that would be nice too.

Not that the game is hard yet anyway, most of the enemies seem to be one hit wonders at my current level!

  8. The UPS guy just came and took my 360 away. He came to the door and said is this for an XBOX, he knew what it was before he even got the package. He said he had been picking 360s up all afternoon around my area.

I'm starting to think that maybe the guy that designed the 360 has a lot of shares in UPS!

  9. But we’ve just found out that the Premium version packing hi-def capabilities will also be dropping in the next seven days.

My year old premium 360 already has hi-def capabilities.... what do I win? :heh:

I guess people will have to wait for current stock to clear before they're guaranteed a premium 360 with a HDMI port though.

EDIT: Space Giraffe and Street Trace NYC on XBLA this Wednesday!

  10. Its been 2 days and I already miss my 360. Last time it broke I had my mates console to play on within a few hours this time I have to go cold turkey until the Elite comes out! This is the first time I have been without my 360 since I bought it last March.

*crouches in the corner and continues to rock backwards and forwards*

But you've still got your PS3 right? How's that going?
