Three days into owning a Switch and I'm loving it. Such a massive step up from the Wii U. Shame there are still concerns about the online service, but Nintendo absolutely nailed the console itself, and I'm actually really liking the minimal UI. And Mario Odyssey is just insanely addictive. Already about 200 Moons in!

Have added a selection of people from here already, but if you'd like to add me my friend code is 5531-8300-3351.

Has anyone here done the changing regions thing to use other the eShop from other countries? Read that Stardew Valley is only £6 on the Mexican eShop instead of £11 here!

Yes I have done so to buy from the SA store.

I suppose it depends on how much you want to play it undocked. Seems a bit daft buying it for £40 when you already have a console that can play a better version of the game for around £10.

Not for me. I have a PS4 but I want the game on the go. My switch goes with me everyday. I can take the hit for portability.

What this port does show is not every third party game is possible. There will be some games on the more powerful platforms that just can't be downscaled to a suitable level.

Do Nintendo offer any subsidies at all? You'd think there would an offer of some sort for using bigger carts, but I guess the practice of having a lot of day one content as a mandatory download is pretty commonplace on other platforms it just sucks that in these cases they would be able to fit all of the content on a cartridge.

Actually, isn't the Switch version already £10 more? So we're paying a tax for game cards already but the publishers aren't willing to use that extra cash for larger capacity cards? More appalling than I thought.

Problem is someone on resetera who claims to be in the know says the jump to 32gb exceeds $20 so the added cost of the game isn't necessarily covering the cost of an bigger cart size. Cart, packaging, licensing fees are too much of a cost to the publisher to put the games on 32gb carts right now.

Going forward I really think this issue needs to be looked at by Nintendo. If that means eating the cost to the publisher until cart sizes come down then maybe that's what's required. AAA titles are large and buying physical copies and then needing to download huge files is simply not good enough.

A 128gb SD card really wouldn't last long with the download data we are seeing with the AAA games even if you buy physical versions.

Great to see ARMS has sold over a million, hopefully they continue to support and, more importantly, we get more new IP as well :)

Will be interesting as those sales were heavily front loaded and it was over a mil early on.

ARMS is think was at 1.15 mil months ago so its only done about 200k in Q2.

Not sure it's shown enough legs.

I didn't get as single player content seemed light to me.

    Can't they just....appoint new staff?

Can't be that hard to find moderators, I mean look at the state of some of ours.

Who want to work and support the owner with such a questionable background? Even if they did they will lose many followers who won't continue to use the site.

I only see some kind survival if the owner is no longer involved.
