  1. Seems like the DLC has been announced:

    http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2016/05/nintendo_confirms_its_dlc_plans_for_tokyo_mirage_sessions_fe

I guess that the people who have pre-ordered the Fortissimo Edition get the downloads included, but I am not sure it is all of it.

    Nintendo Store suggests:

...and an extra content download code.

The original image advertising the pack has:

    DLC Download Codes

So I am hopeful it will be all of it (based on that plural right there).

  2. Does anyone know if you have to redeem the codes by a certain date? Bought the bundle but haven't actually touched my 3DS or Wii U in a while. Not sure if either have spaceseseses for things.

You should be able to redeem them now - then they will move onto the 'Titles I Have Downloaded' list and you can download them at a later date.

If your Wii U is on and set to background download, the download will fail if you don't have enough space, but it will still be on that list.

Just put an hour or so into Runbow. Fantastic game so far. The fast and precision jumping is very satisfying to pull off. It also has that addictive gameplay type that demands you have just one more go.

It's great to see various other indie characters in the character select screen. I was scrolling along and seen Shovel Knight was there. I have no idea how I unlocked him but I put him to use straight away.

I had a go of the online mode and was pleasantly surprised by it. It ran perfectly smooth, even with multiple characters on screen at the same time. I also managed to win a game of Run. I ended up getting 5 wins out of the 10, with 2 going to another guy and 3 going to a person playing as Lilac.

Speaking of Lilac, I had quick go of Freedom Planet and love what I've seen of it so far. I look forward to delving into it further.

This Humble Bundle is incredible value for money and for those wanting something to play on their Wii U, there is simply no excuse for not picking these games up.

I echo the Runbow love - although I bought it when it first came out. It's a rare thing for an Indy Wii U game to have a good online mode with varied options (albeit a bit buggy when it first came out).

The colour master mode is a good demonstration of asynchronous gameplay if you can ever get 3-4 in a room at the same time. The evil you can generate as the colour master in that mode....

  3. Very positive impressions for the game:

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE looks beautiful in motion and a pure sight to behold. It is one of the Wii U's most colorful games, if not the most colorful. The characters, world and dungeons all have a clean and crisp design that really stands out among the Wii U's greats. There are even animated cutscenes now and again that up the ante even more and make me not want to stop playing. The Japanese voice acting is, next to this, top notch. I understand why Nintendo and Atlus didn't want to change the dymanics of this game, considering the music and voices are connected with one another. The subtitles are on point at least and they don't step away from the game's general meaning. There are localisation changes when it comes to costumes and a certain part in chapter two so far, but that is about it. The music is also deserving of big praise. While I can talk about J-Pop songs for a quite a while longer, things like the themes in the streets and battles are equally impressive. Sadly, these can't be heard on any soundtrack of the game, which is sort of a shame.

Getting much more hyped for the game after reading that.

  4. But wasn't the general consensus basically, "It's big and pretty, but not as good as the Wii version"?

I'm not sure I like the idea of a big massive game for the sake of being a big massive game.

Xenoblade X was a good example here though because the world did not feel empty. There was also a large amount of in game systems. It wasn't as good as the Wii version, but that was more because of plot and a user interface that somehow went backwards.

I guess it is possible that Nintendo ware trimming the rough edges that were present in XCX but they have not even committed the game to be an NX launch title!

  5. I haven't heard all of them yet from the weekend yet, but I can imagine what they have been saying.

Over the past few years, it feels like Nintendo has been trying to kill off journalism that is not controlled by them 'directly' and this is just one more nail in that coffin.

Plus, if they struggle at E3 the latter part of 2016 is going to be painful.

  6. so I jumped on that humble bundle deal as I wanted to get freedom planet.

entered the code and then got message saying my Wii U do not have enough memory. I go to memory setting and delete some stuff. Go back to the shop am back on the main page, no record of me entering the code to buy freedom planet and instead asking me to pay full price.

    WTF!! This is some BS

I had this exact issue with DarkSiders 2.

I went back onto the eshop -> User Menu -> Titles You Have Downloaded

And found it there. I could then download it.

Freedom Planet is an ace game.

  7. I have a backlog as well because I just don't get as much single player gaming time as a I used to.

What I could really do with is at least one online Wii U game that is not awful between now and the end of the Wii U's life.

Is that too much to ask for Nintendo?

  8. I think Nintendo could just be stepping away from the traditional gaming industry. Seems that way. Pretty much no presence at e3. Nothing released of note on a home console for the whole year (after a pretty barren 2015). 3DS and Wii U severely dying. No xmas launch and missing all the years biggest games (or if they do come out, missed the boat). Feels like they're just admitting their position, refusing to play along and doing their own thing.

Either that or they're just willing to take a couple of bad years, saving all their development teams, launching only when it's ready and the games are ready and absolutely going to smash it out of the water!!

It made me suspect that they might be stepping away from the games industry and move onto mostly mobile.

But *if* that was the case, why bother with NX at all?

  9. At least we won't have any of that - we are only showing games we expect to release in this calendar year rubbish. ::shrug:

One more thing. The low sales estimates they have for the Wii U of 15 million makes me think there will not be that many more games/big hitters on the horizon.

  10. For the past 2 E3's I have been convinced we will see Retro's game and nothing has come up - not even a mention. I wonder if there are more serious difficulties in that studio than we know about.

As for Pikmin 4, it's possible, but Miyamoto's nearly ready and most other peoples have been widely different before.

Monster game's new game has to be strictly filed under rumour for now surely?

  11. If Zelda is the only show on the E3 floor it makes me think that they don't have anything else big left for the Wii U. So Paper Mario and Tokyo Mirage sessions for the rest of 2016?

Yep, that's my hype down the toilet as well. I suppose it can only get better though, with expectations this low?

Edit: Wow you are very optimistic @Dcubed
