The video is now available to download on the 3DS eShop, and it's looking sweet.

An RPG mode would be good, but I hope they include a good online mode.
-
That's probably the only way they could get it on to the 3DS though! It'll be the exact same game... much quicker to do than having to think of/design new levels. Plus if those screens are anything to go by.Completely agree that this is going to be the same game. The point I was trying to get across is that being built from the ground up will require a lot more effort and therefore a lot more input from RETRO. Get your plane tickets and slapping hand ready.

It should be available later today. I don't see it up yetYou're right. Just took a look for myself and it's not there yet, will edit above post. Cheers.

Really this should either be given out free to anyone who already owns DKCR, if Sony are doing that with Cross Play... or it should be a new game. Also, if this game took up even the smallest part of Retro Studio's time, Ima fly to Japan, wait outside Nintendo HQ, and slap every single person who walks out that building. :p
Shibata san did say that this is not just a simple port, but has been built from the ground up for the 3DS.

Wii Street U 'powered by Google' is available to download from the eShop right now. I'm excited about giving it a try.
-
Fire up your 3DS this has a video available to watch in 3D.

This is looking so good at the moment, can't wait to see more. Was it a summer release?
-
In Europe this was called 'Crash or Splash' or vice versa.
-
Well spotted. Gonna get there soon.

I would try to summarise all that, but it was just too much. Game after game after game, and when I thought it was all over another two. Awesome.
-
Anyone going to chat for this one, I'm trying it out on the gamepad for the first time. Bring it on.

I for one loved the old Burnout games on the Gamecube (1 & 2), especially 2. Will be picking this up on day one. Looks like March is going to be a very expensive month.
-
Still waiting for this to drop in price, and I'll pick it up then.

It's the story mode where it's at though. In the story mode you're going to have all the fun unlocking the various tanks, playing over 30 levels repeatedly to level up each tank, getting medals for completion of levels with each tank, and generally blowing the crap out of big monsters. My Kong mode is a wonderful addition when there's 4 of you having a laugh.

I would like to see SNES and GBA games on the 3DS virtual Console. "Here's Super Metroid for 30p on the 3DS", cheers Shibata.

So there's a USA one for Wii-U and 3DS, and the European one is purely 3DS?USA one at 2pm UK Time, 3DS one at 3pm UK time... is that correct?
If so work can take a hike for 2 hours tomorrow.
It's 3pm CET, so that makes it 2:00 in the uK. Same time, double broadcast.

This has to be the 3rd party Wii U, or more probably a 3DS centric one, eh?
Good job getting that posted so quick @Serebii

Still waiting for mine to arrive, should be here next week sometime, but it's Chinese New Year this week and the Post Office is shut. So, I still play the waiting game.

What's everybody's favourite table?

Got a bloody good score with my 6 year old son on 2 player, on the Epsilon and Leta clusters. We are sitting pretty at the top of the charts (he's bloody good for 6 year old).

I need to finish Super Mario 3D Land (nearly there), Paper Mario, ZombiU, Nintendo Land, and Tank, Tank, Tank.
Oh and Nano Assault Neo. Yeah just 5 at the mo.

Gamers always have, and always will, play the waiting game. It's part of the anticipation building, frustration, then sheer elation of receiving a 'quality' product, that would not have reached that high standard if rushed. Too many developers these days feel they can rush out an unfinished product with many flaws and just release patch after patch. I prefer to wait for a product that is perfect from the outset with everything included as standard from the moment it's sold, to the moment I complete it. Gamers these days seem to be waiting for patches more than games.

Guessing I am in the minority here, but am more than happy with my Wii U launch so far. Clocked up 10 hours play on the first day, 80+ in December, just under 80 in January too, and still have the COD single player campaign to play. I think maybe they made a mistake on launch with so many games being released, though having not touched my xbox since Arkham City still thinking ME3 is a good shout to pick up something, and the whole Rayman debacle just means I can pick up MH3 on Wii U and 3DS without sacrificng a wedding gift for my brother! You are in the minority, but I completely agree with you. I for one don't have much time to game, so NintendoLand, Tank, Tank, Tank!, and ZombiU have, and will be, sufficient for some time to come. Plus I have Batman on the way, have preordered Lego City, and wish to pick up a few more when cheaper (like AC3 and ME3).
There are just too many games for me to choose from.
Donkey Kong Country Returns... Returns!
