if the experience when playing the switch undocked takes a huge nosedive can everyone else see this as a worrying feature. I mean why would we want to play it in handheld mode if the performance is not great. Not a great incentive. I was major hyped to play games like BotW on the go. Now I am thinking why bother when the performance will suck.

Docked as a console I gotta say I am pretty disappointed with them specs. Makes me wonder which version of DQXI the switch will get now. I was hoping the switch would be nearer to Xbox one rather than Wii U. Genuinely interested to see how the switch handles BotW. Performance is gonna be key here. As a handheld the specs are fine as it's a huge leap from the 3DS.

Who predicted that Pokémon Go would actually hurt Pokémon sun & moon sales? Sure someone on here did. Also the Pokémon being released on switch rumors did Nintendo no harm.

In the grand scheme of things, this news will hardly effect sun & moon. Yeah there will be a minority like me who will wait for switch version but that is it. Sun & moon is gonna do crazy numbers.

Guess I will hold off on 3DS version then.

Definitely a portable in my eyes. Actually not really sure how Nintendo market this a home console to he honest. Seems like the big draw is the ability to take it anywhere. I think people will look at it as a portable console with the added feature of playing on a big screen when at home.

Really hope Nintendo learn from FE Sales in Europe. Releasing games 5 months after North American release is a mistake. I fail to see any benefit to Nintendo when having such wide gapes on some EU/NA Release dates. If FE was a MS or Sony published game you know fall well that the game would be released in NA/EU in the same week. Nintendo always have to be different in a bad way! Just stop this in the future, release dates between EU/NA should be days, Couple of weeks at a push. Not months on end!!

why should it matter if games come on cartridges. no matter which way you look at it. 32GB internal isnt enough. remember 32GB wont be all available to use by the way as memory will be needed for the OS. lets say 28GB is usable being generous. day 1 NX buyer gets his machine home and looks on the eshop. sees two 18GB games he wants to buy and didnt bother buying an SD card. we have a problem! 64GB should be a minimum if you ask me.

Nah NX is a handheld and will be out early 2017. We have two games that are Wii U ports, another is a Mario sports game, Mario party and sidescrolling Pikmin spinoff. All titles that are keeping the 3DS steady. Nintendo supporting a machine like they should do before fully transitioning to NX..

I had same problem. Connected it to my laptop and the orange light came on. Then connected charger and thing came back to life. I have seen plenty of people say that there Vita wont charge anymore though.

Pretty amazing how well that 56k modem performed. I remember playing PSO with the world and NFL 2k1 on a damn dial up connection. Little lag and first experience of online gaming. That shit was the BOMB! Best way dude. I have accepted that Nintendo have no desire to match what the competition does. It's never gonna be on that level as Nintendo don't feel that it has to be. It's sad but it's very true.

Them like EA will wait to see how it sells. Also the release date doesn't help for the sports titles. March no good for this year's NBA or NFL titles

sounds like someone is in denial. you dont want it to be a handheld so you would rather we all just ignore the latest news and pretend Nintendo are releasing a PS4 beating home console. unless these sources are trolling eurogamer etc etc which we all know they are not, NX is a handheld. its not like eurogamer and other sites have just bumped into a couple of guys in the street who claim they work for nintendo. come on dude, eurogamer would not have printed the article if they wasnt 100% sure that the sources are genuine. just accept the reality and move on. The NX (for the time being) isnt gonna be a home console. maybe nintendo will release a home console in a few years.

Kinda accepted that we will never see an online infrastructure in Nintendo machines that matches the competition. Like the Eurogamer article said. There is no desire from Nintendo to include this things. They don't see it as a must have.

And that's why people should treat it as a handheld. Stop looking at it as home console. Nintendo know that handheld is where they do their best business. They was never gonna release a home console before the next handheld.

Nah they can have there own store outside of Google play. Guessing it would be similar to Nvidia own store. Nintendo could just have games ported to NX although they could see mobile developers not bother with some titles. Considering the way mobile games have been priced on 3DS compared mobile equivalents I would not like to see Nintendo to go down that route again and charge way more then Google play prices. And Nintendo could do wifi only. Mobile data not included isn't a problem. Vita had it and nobody cared. Would be a waste of time actually.

Think it could end up being 540p. All depends on battery life I guess. Can any tech heads let is know about the tegra chip how it handles power.
