    easy now!!! lol na just kidding soo glad you got one. i only went to argos on the off chance wasnt really expecting to get one for about 4 5 weeks. sooo happy now tho. cant wait gonna be posting my wii setup in the wii porn thread ive wanted to do this since i saw the 1st one on there. im just soo excited but i have to wait till they get them delivered at 2 ishi wanna play it now i dont think im gonna be able to sleep

    hi i bought a classic controller today and i was wondering if anybody on here knew why they had the button on the top in the middle that moves 2 like locks on the back (does that make any sense?) i was wondering if nintendo had some thing up there sleeve to attatch the wii mote to the classic controller

    your best bet would be to ring the hmv shop where you preordered and ask them

     

    im just ringing shops and asking when they get there next lot i rung game and they said they wont take any orders its all on 1st come 1st serve basis when they get there next lot in

    Zero to Hero!

     

    So in contuinuation of my story from the "PreOrder Woes thread"

     

    Follishly not pre-ordering I took my chances scouring shops like a game loving curb crawler. Yes readers it was a long, bitter trek from 24hr ASDA to 24hr Tesco's on launch day eve. Alas like many - I was not to triumph. :angry:

     

    Returning from my quest I was beaten...but not broken! Searching my usual treasure trove of forums I came across the news that Amazon were having a last minute re-stocking of the Wii. Thats right from 3pm - 4pm on launch day there was gonna be a window of chance for me.... me and the rest of the United Kingdom that is!

     

    Thank Bill Gates for the F5 key!

    Yes, thank god for Bill Gates (his F5 key) and the 1-Click Ordering process of Amazon.

     

    I bagged a Wii and for cheaper than the typical retail price (thanks to some Amazon gift voucherage - yeah stick that ASDA & Tesco!)

     

    • I ordered it on Fri 8th Dec for £176.98 :grin:
    • Amazon gave my Wii an est delivery 12-13th Dec. :grin:
    • It came today at approx 11:45am :D

     

    I've now coerced my D-Link GT604 router config to allowing Wii WiFi access (set to channel 10 rather than default of 6 btw). I have patched to Version 2.0 firmware..it runs no probs....

     

    • no slow overly slow patching
    • no weird disc loading or rejection problems
    • no error messages

     

    Again I reiterate the message -

    "For everyone else still in Wii limbo - I feel your pain.....I suggest absorbing some of it by watching Wii vids on YouTube...it worked for me.."

     

    now for some proof of concept:

    Hey, this may have been answered somewhere in the vast amount of pages, but how much difference is there between RGB cables and Component on the wii? The reason i ask is, i want a new tv for my bedroom (19") i've narrowed it down to:

    i was looking at the 1st sammy one but i have seen the 23 " one on pixmania for only 393 quid with 13 quid delivery and on the currys website the same tele is 564.95 just so you know the product code is LE23R71

    i have a sugestion (sorry v bad spelling day today so upset i didnt get my wii:cry: )

     

    a thread about bringing the whole family together. I have seen a few people mention how their family are getting into the wii and for the first time in about 10 years i heard my mum say "are you getting oe of those it looks like good fun." the last time i heard that was when i had my nintendo scope for my snes and i couldn't get a go as familly wouldn't stop playing it. she also said that the whole family should get a ds that way we could play games and the looser does the washing up hehe
