    I've said before they are both equal in my eyes...gamerscore and Home achievements, they are just a means of bragging rights or to increase people's gaming egos, I really don't get why people hold up gamerscores as a holy grail...

     

    I dont really give a fuck about gamer points but having to leave a game then go into home then look about to see what you and your friends have achieved seems a bit to much to do

     

    You can just press a few buttons, even when in a game to check it on the 360

     

    This is why I think home will fail unless there is a way to check in game

    You played Devil May Cry on ur system? As good as a game that is it really did take a very loooooooooong time to install. Was not amused as i was itching to play it at the time.

     

    Nope got it for 360 because I read that the install times were way to long. But I though that was just becuase it was a 360 port. Everybodys Golf is a PS3 only game I thought they would have sorted it out by now

     

    I'd say there's a strong case that you'll have too.

    GT5P and Everybodys Golf which I think is awesome ( Ive played the demo )

     

    Having finished Rainbow Six I dont think my 360 will be getting any love soon as the rest of the achievys I need require boosting so I have went a bit nuts and ordered the following from VGP.

     

    Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core

    Jeanne D' Arc

    Wild Arms XF

     

    I then went over to Gameplay and bought....

     

    Metal Gear Solid - Portable Ops ( 2nd time I have owned this, maybe I will play it this time :) )

    Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

    God of War: Chains of Olympus

    Everybodys Golf World Tour

     

    I booked 2 days off work at the end of the week for all of this, the weekend is going to be amazing!!

     

    Aye iv just bought Everybodys Golf from VGP. Hopefully get it on Tuesday.

     

    Anyone know if its online ?

    How shit is online ?

     

    I know that we take talking online for granted now because of xbox live but just playing the game online without talking or even hearing people talk is so boring. (mite just be me)

     

    I hope to god there next console does something decent with online becuase Sony and Microsoft are way way way ahead of them :(

    The US PSN store has had a great update today. It got Condemned 2 DEMO, Sega Superstars Tennis DEMO, Soul Calibur 4 trailer, Motorstorm 2 trailer and GT5P Jap intro, all of which im on downloading now!

    Freeloader and Brawl ordered from 365Games with Next Day delivery. £6 is more than i wanted to pay for delivery, but im not certain it would make it this week even with 1st Class postage. Assuming 365 have enough stock then there's still the combo of it being both a busy and a very short postal week.

     

    Im gettin my Wii on Tuesday, staff discount is going up to 20%! Wii for £144 :D

    Ah so it's still probably best to get the US ltd ed of MGS4 anyway?

     

    NO! Because if you get it from US it will get shipped to you on release date. If you get it from UK you will get it on the release date or sometimes a day before

     

    But if you want the US limited edition badly then im sure you can wait a few days for it while everyone else plays MGS4

    I'm actually considering going this route too now, I had a look around and might be able to get one for a good price, is it all USA 60GB's that are full backwards compatible though? Also I read that it's completely region free (for PS3 and PS2 games I assume and not Bluray films) and that you can use a UK power supply with it so no need for a step-down converter. :heh:

     

    If all these things are true then are there any downsides to getting a USA PS3? O.o cos I can't see any atm lol.

     

    PS3 games are region free... Dont know about PS2

     

    Blu-ray isnt region free, but I have read that some work and some dont

     

    Im using a UK power cord and its fine

     

    And the only place I can see US PS3's for sale is VGP and DVDBOXOFFICE but there only 40GB

    And apparently Nintendo was the sour one in the situation.

     

    Then again, I suppose it's fair enough. From the rumours Microsoft were letting Nintendo have the original on the Virtual Console as long as Nintendo would let Microsoft improve on the original game. And Microsoft probably didn't want to let Nintendo to make their own improved version of GoldenEye.

     

     

    Nintendo didnt want to go through with it because they would of made nothing out of the deal, well no where near as much as Microsoft

     

    360 online, multiplayer, leaderboards, achievements, improved graphics

     

    Nintendo online is shit

    Never played on my PS3 for months now

     

    Turned it on last night to see if there is any new stuff to download and I had totally forgot about "Everybodys Golf" I got the Jap demo ages ago and couldnt really play on it but the English version is great. That will be my next buy for the PS3

     

    Anyone know if there will be online multiplayer ?

    What's everyones' experience of pre-ordering on the internet? Are there any websites that you can guarantee that you'll get the game the day it comes out? I want to pre-order Metal Gear 4.

     

    I preordered Phantom Hourglass and Warioware on amazon using supersaver delivery, Warioware came on the day of release but Phantom Hourglass took a week or so after release!

     

    I dont know if Metal Gear is coming out in the US first or not, but if it is get it from VGP

     

    If not I use Gameplay and normally get games a day before they hit the shops
