    Relevant: I read stuff before about how sending teachers over actually does their education harm, because it's so short term unless the volunteers stay there permanently. And it's always different people and organisations dipping in and out, which disrupts their education.

     

    But yeah. It's difficult to discuss rather than throw ideas and criticism back and forth...it's a whole big continent they're/we're trying to help, it's not gonna be easy. I don't have any answers because I'm not a genius. That article has a point, but it is also very negative and could do without stuff like "Africa[..] is giving almost nothing to anyone, apart from AIDS". But points like this are good/thought-provoking (but are they correct? I am no historian): "Japan, China, Russia, Korea, Poland, Germany, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia in the 20th century have endured worse broad brush-strokes than almost any part of Africa."

    I think what Smeagol is saying is that in lieu of sending in a "no target", he can choose an action that effectively does nothing. Similar to how I could choose to either lie detect or "drink coffee" (do nothing) in the Phoenix Wright mafia game. A bit suspicious of everyone who's jumping on it, he did pretty much reveal everything about himself at the beginning.

    What has investigation results got to do with voting for him? You don't even gather info, your insistence is all based on what other people have said. My choice is to lynch EEVIL. heroic is undoubtedly more powerful/annoying, but getting rid of EEVIL may cripple their team, and hopefully there's another protector left. The reason the majority can't be reached is because either someone has a negative vote attached to them, or heroic has some kind of auto negative vote thing that activates when he's voted for.

    ahh yes the old work... boo. I've got a 9mm in one ear and people still don't notice its a plug unless I point it out lol. How far you stretching?

     

    Probably 8mm, I'll see how 7mm looks first ...I'd like to keep the lobes in their natural shape, if that makes sense! I'll be posting in the piercing thread in a few weeks, hopefully :)

     

    Work-wise, I'll be working in an audit firm so a bit scared that any little thing will be noticed, hehe :s

    Yvonne, imo you should be asking if anyone (info gatherers) targeted your targets, not what happened to them.

    I've taken to being nice to people, doing good deeds and stuff. It's in vien hope of getting noticed by the females, as i'm not good at starting a convo. I suppose "can i help you with that" is a good way to begin a potential convo. My luck so far................................... 2%!!!. It's getting there, slowly.

     

    My suggestion...throw lots of positivity out into the world, but don't go around expecting anything back :) That's not how it works, or else karma would be concrete and real and not just a vague concept. Good things do come back to you, but it might not be immediate or directly related to the situation. Bask in the knowledge that you've done good and maybe made someone feel better. It's more than getting noticed by girls, it's about being an awesome person :) /hippie

    Well, I use fire to roleblock (or embers rather, I’m assuming the fire is me), but my PM clearly states I failed, because you were protected.

     

    Perhaps you were jailkept? If you were blocked from doing anything, it wasn’t me.

     

    I mean, I tried, but failed.

    Same here, there are several things which failed to happen last night. Protectors didn't protect for some reason, not sure who Jimbob went for last night. Both cases I thought were pretty obvious target choices. @Diageo who did you target?

     

    Eh? How do you know - because Smeagol died? What if they were roleblocked/redirected/jailkept/targeted other people?

     

    How do you affect investigations?

     

    Has anyone else encountered/targeted heroic before this?

    Yeah, why is everyone gunning for MadDog. I can't see logic behind that myself.

     

    He's made two posts in the entire game. I don't think everyone (= Yvonne) is gunning for him, just pressure voting. Why so concerned?

    Well, this is getting extremely subjective, but if it were me, I would make it shocking in a more frightening way rather than just exaggerated features :) But this is my personal vision only. Plus I can't stop seeing the face as a Chain Chomp...

    But thats the point, the artist wanted it to be drastic for people to pay attention.

     

    I'm certainly with Bard on this one, it could have been a bit more tastefully done, but then when have these things ever been like that?

     

    People jumping on the bandwagon ftl.

     

    No, I mean it wasn't drastic enough - to me, it seems like the artist is making fun of an African woman in pain rather than highlighting whatever issues he's going for/making people think more deeply about it.
