Actually I quite enjoyed that one
-
Mario Kart tracks seem to be getting more elaborate and complicated with each game, and I really miss the simpler courses from the SNES, N64 and even a fair few from Double Dash.
-
Great stuff thanks for posting it. Definitely the best (IMO) and most innovative dungeon in the game. Great vibe and with excellent music.
-
Majora's Mask doesn't need any more dungeons. There's so much stuff to do between each one that it makes up for only having four. The game still ends up being about the same length as most other Zeldas I reckon. Favourite dungeon in OOT, tough to choose but the forest, fire and water ones are the ones I enjoyed the most. They've got a great vibe, but then so do the other two. Argh, can't decide.
-
Majora's Mask is indeed the perfect game. Actually there is one tiiiiny thing that bugged me about it. The Ocarina songs were fairly lame compared to OOT. Apart from the song of healing, they were all pretty forgetful and most were literally just the few notes you played. Erm, if that's what you believe doesn't that apply to you and shouldn't you be taking your own advice?

You are my hero Forget a chip, killer kirby has a bag of king edwards on his shoulders about Zelda fans.

Overrated: The Truth About Videogame Reviews and The Power That They Wield
Ronnie replied to Pookiablo's topic in General Chit Chat
All that proves is because of this flawed system that's been in use for years, the system is now f-ed up. Yes 7 is considered average, because mathematically based on every review out there, it probably is; but the point of the article is that it shouldn't be, and reviewers should start treating 5 as average in an attempt to shift te global average back to 5. -
We know it's a game. No one is saying it's their whole life. From what I can see, everyone is really looking forward to the game's release. Move on.

Story mode? In a Mario Kart game? And what does online have to do with story?

So, Nintendo have pretty much confirmed the Wii is dead.

You don't think Nintendo will do a Twilight Princess on Skyward Sword and delay it a year? Actually, the SS engine is basically from the gamecube, so that's unlikely I suppose. -
What an obnoxious tool you are. Don't you get it? Everyone on this topic seems hugely excited for OOT 3D, and with good reason. I know you want to believe people are whining about the game, so you can point at them and laugh from high above, but no one is. A few issues here and there, but that's common for such a popular series like Zelda when the standards are so high. Still bitter TP is the least popular 3D Zelda? Learn to read. I said no one is 'going on' about the logo. Because no one was. To me and a few others on here, the temple of time surroundings do look awful, couldn't give a fuck if you have a problem with that. The way you get so wound up about people who DARE to say the slighest thing negative about an aspect of a Zelda game, is highly amusing.
-
No one is going on about it FFS. Anyway I would have thought the logo would be in the top screen to show off the 3D effect. As Grazza says, it'll probably pop up when the player presses a button
-
I just assumed that was the intro without the logo and it will be in the actual game. The one at the end of the clip doesn't look right, I don't think it's part of the intro at all, just for the purposes of that online video.

Overrated: The Truth About Videogame Reviews and The Power That They Wield

Magnus explained it well. Scoring a game, something so subjective, out of 100 is indeed laughable. Should it be given 74 or 75, how about 74.5. Oh please. I'm a big fan of EDGE's /10 scores. -

Reviews that score games out of 100 really make me laugh -

Bless how you try and find whining where none exists. How very predictable. The game looks amazing, the visuals look excellent for the most part and I love how they're using the second screen. Can't wait to play it. I've said countless times how beautiful the new graphics look in general, and how much I'm looking forward to the game. But the fact remains the game is practically identical to the N64 version, the only thing we can discuss about it is the updated visuals. I have a problem with a couple of elements of this and am sharing those concerns whilst I wait to play the game. That's not being over the top. It's the purpose of a discussion board. Never said it was a game-destroying issue, just that a couple of the updated visuals are fugly. Or we could all wank each other off about all things Zelda and never utter a negative word, like Scoop and killer_kirby would have us do.

The second video in particular looks great! Go on let's hear that line for the twelve time. Yes it is, but that doesn't mean people aren't allowed to criticise poor lighting and green water. It has nothing to do with nostalgia.
-
More radioactive green water!! Nice opening, shame about that. Definitely not a fan of that strong yellow filter they've added.
-
Yeah that was truly gorgeous. My favourite as well I also quite like how back then they used to keep the games' subtitle quite understated, font wise. Unlike these days, with SS's being particularly gharish. [/designerspeak]

A mix of 64's large scale levels that let you explore coupled with Galaxy's gravity effects and transport system = Super Mario 3DS? I hope so. I'd love to see more levels like the Honeybee galaxy from Galaxy 1.
-
I think he's over-selling the 3D and the effect it'll have on gameplay precision, just a tad.
-
It would look 'kewl' in 3D?
-
Zelda is a class apart from other games on the shelves. Its covers should be the nice logo in big on a single shade, gold usually. Mostly always have been, definitely always should be. (IMO)
-
That goes without saying, but they still could have done a better job with it. Another example of dodgy lighting?
