Finished the game, loved it. Fun final battle though I expected it a little more twisted and freakier. Nintendo are the masters at ending cutscenes. My only real issue with the game is I think the lighting looked a little flat. This was obvious when there was (rare) lightning and the scenes briefly looked stunning and infinitely moodier. Oh and there should have been more upgrades. Surprising number of bugs too for a Nintendo game. But all in all, fantastic

Nintendo 3DS Direct + Wii U Stuff - 17th April - 3pm BST

Wonder if they'll announce a 3DS Zelda game, I suppose they'd probably wait for E3 -
Someone please tell me there are more than 4 levels in the 5th mansion. I was disappointed they cut the 4th one short, but only 3 levels before the boss battle?? I assume there's a final battle after it, but still, for such a huge mansion 3 regular missions is poor.
-
I wasn't so keen on the third one either, felt a bit off somehow. The fourth is better, though its boss is ridiculously bad.
-
Hmm I feel a bit cheated there's two fewer levels than normal in Mansion 4
-
Thanks for the spoiler FFS.
-
Agreed, and by extension and perhaps more importantly... bring back the magic meter!
-
The third mansion feels more like a Zelda dungeon
-
Thanks, that's pretty poor.

Just finished the second mansion and I've already gotten all the upgrades. Very disappointing, I thought there'd be more. I assume collecting money doesn't really matter now that I'm fully upgraded?
-
The lightning in level 2-4 is fantastic, makes me wish the visuals had a bit more atmosphere and less flat. More lightning effects to come I hope. Those who finished it are there any extra levels after the final boss?

Managed to play one round in the Thrill Tower, now I just keep getting error codes every time I try and join a game. Is there a Polterpup mission in the first mansion? I've done all of the levels but only seen one hiding a jewel through a window.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate: The Official Thread For The Ultimate Game

Started playing the demo of this last night, deleted it three minutes later. I must be missing what's so great lol, seemed clunky, unpolished and generally boring to me. -
Why not just go to HMV, get the console for £200 with Zombie U and buy Need for Speed elsewhere.
-
That whole set of jewels is per mansion?? I thought it was the total for all the mansions. I managed to find one jewel in two levels, looks like I need to look around even more carefully!
-
You have to shine some bright light onto it for 30-60 seconds or so, put it right up next to a lamp, then turn all the lights off. It won't glow with only ambient light.

Just played the very first level, couple of questions: 1. Is it normal to lose coins as you try and suck up ghosts? It seems to take an age for the '10' countdown to get to zero, and I usually lose the ghost and lose some coins in the process. I assume it gets easier? EDIT: Never mind I wasn't pulling back on the analog stick. 2. How many levels per mansion approx? Cheers guys

Just watched the trailer for the millionth time, did they really think the intro said "Not pony tails, or cotton tales"? It's PHONEY, not pony! Sacrilege to mess with arguably the greatest cartoon series opening theme of all time!

Nintendo recommend a powered drive

I agree with others that say it should have been completely hand-drawn instead of this weird 50:50 2.5D thing they've actually done. The (I assume) Transylvania level looks great though, at least the outdoors shots. Still I don't recognise a lot of the levels in the trailer. There must be additional ones. Himalayas, The Moon, Transylvania, Amazon jungle and African Mines were the original five. Another classic!! Yes please
-
So there'll be all the old levels? The moon etc? Were there that many treasure chests in the original? I can't remember so many, certainly not with ice creams in them.
-
Holy fuck, one of my favourites games from the NES days!! This version looks a bit bare and crap in comparison though, hopefully just early builds.
-
Why sacrifice the possibilities that a second screen opens up to gameplay, just to unimaginatively mirror what happens on the tv in your lap on the rare occasions you can't use a tv.
-
Same with what happened with Transformers, just got steadily more ludicrous and over the top. The trailer is so dramatic and explosion-filled it's almost like a parody. I suppose for a dumb action film it'll do.
-
This film looks a bit too OTT and fanboyish, imo
