  1. You know, they say that becoming a father or perhaps finding the love of your life is one of the best days of your life.

I say 'I HAVE CHORTLES' because when they revealed this all casual like during Treehouse Live I knew this would be one of those days that will be hard to top.

This along with Nintendo's E3 satisfied me in many ways. Many. Ways.

    I HAVE THE FINAL CHUCKLE!

  2. All I really hope is to get a whiff of what Retro has been up to.

If they are responsible for either the new Sin&Punishment or the WaveRace/Pilotwings which were in the rumour then I don't know what to think of that.

Do I really want them handling an on-rails shooter or a series with casual appeal....Better be some god damn amazing explorable Wuhu Island with interlinked online functionalities.

I am not sure how much talent dripped out of Retro after Tropical Freeze, but I would love to see them either house a new IP or re-imagine some other classic franchise from Nintendo that isn't Metroid. Maybe give Wario a new funky game or get something crazy out of Duck-Hunt or the Game&Watch series, hahaha.

Maybe they could do something awesome with F-Zero too.

  3. So, I am going through the story here, and I must ask.

Why in the love of fuck is your character's facial expression always that of Fred in Courage the Cowardly Dog whilst the supporting cast actually shows emotions?

  4. While it will undoubtedly be a fun little game, seeing Ubisoft still try their hardest to make Rabbids as big as the Minions kind of annoys me.

The Rabbids should've been laid to rest in the Wii era.

Still, I am looking forward to seeing more of the worlds and whatnot.

I hope the worlds are really 'twisted' as the leak says and that there might be even more characters to play with later.

Would be pretty funny to see Rabbids dress up as Waluigi and Wario.

  5. The Legend of Zelda franchise has such a rich and vibrant history and seeing these videos funnily enough reminds one how much you might forget about the games and its dungeons.

There's definitely a truth to dungeons being easier since Windwaker, and all the hints and padding kept piling up ever since.

I wonder what Breath of the Wild will play like.

You guys think there will ever be a Zelda Collection with all the games like they did on the GameCube once?

NINTENDO's been very big on Zelda these years and some games are hard to come by.

  6. Only just saw today that you mentioned me.

I drop in from time to time:laughing:

NINTENDO does not have mercy on this poor soul with less and less time to spend on games.

I mean, I have yet to buy a Switch and working myself through Pokemon Moon and Tropical Freeze...

I figured I might need to take a day or two off just to spend time finishing games of yesteryear.

But my word this is a welcome re-release!

  7. Maaaan, I nearly shat myself after that first ending.

I couldn't believe that was all they had to offer, hahaha.

I finished the story and have a few new favourites such as the Sumo Brothers or the KITTIES.

I am also glad they added many GBA Rhythm games since I never got to play that one.

I must agree the story is a bit contrived although it fits in with all the weird stories they manage to come up with surrounding some of the rhyhtm games.

I really like the fact that you can now see whether your beat is too early, too late or ACE! It's really helpful and definitely ads extra challenge during the Monster Challenges.

The Blue Bear though, my Heart!

Shout out to all the Nyurpers who enjoy themselves a good Rhyhm game!

It is one of the franchises I always try to 100% so I still have many challenges in front of me.

I do wonder though, with Nintendo going mobile, you guys think this franchise might end up there someday?

  8. Today I have come face to face with real change.

I used to know about pretty much all major game announcements, especially that of Nintendo, but I freaked out when I saw a trailer for this game in the EB Games in Melbourne.

I had no recollection whatsoever of this being announced!

I knew a Pikmin 4 was in development, but had NO IDEA the this game had already been revealed in a Direct. A DIRECT! For Christ's sake how could I have missed that!? And it is one of my favourite series too!!!!?!?!

I can't keep up anymore lads, I'm slipping.

  9. So I am wondering, and this is a bit out of left field, how far you guys are with some of the Steetpass games.

Specifically Streetpass Battle and Streetpass Mansion.

Now I have been to Japan 2 times and currently in Japan, and I got these games when they first game out and have yet to truly finish them. I believe I am on floor 38 with the Mansion game and am still collecting troops to take down the final kingdom in the Battle game. I think I will feel comfortable taking him on when I have three million troops, so I have about 900.000 Miis to go.

For the life of me, talk about value for your money, hahaha

  10. I am absolutely ecstatic about it being region free.

I figure I will import all my games from Japan this time around to aid me in my Japanese studies.

I find Nintendo's strategy of taking a feature away and then adding it back later quite amusing.

People freaking out over a battle mode in Mario Kart, hahahahaha

Edit: and FUCK YEAH Travis Touchdown is coming home!

  11. I am kind of getting a 3DS vibe from this one.

One or two good titles at launch and over the year the occasional gems (and Indie games) and killer hits.

I suspect the Switch will keep getting great game after great game in the months to come, with an eventual library that will be quite the spectacle, but it will take some time for it to pick up steam.

I really, REALLY, would've loved to play Zelda on the Switch and would have gladly put down 300 euros or so for a Switch + Zelda bundle, but as it stands that is not the case.

I can't believe there weren't any bundles announced so hopefully the retailers will fill that gap.

I guess I will sit out the launch, try and play some games on WiiU and hope for that eventual Zelda bundle.

As hard as it is for me to do this, I will be patient with Breath of the Wild since I do not want to play it on the WiiU.

It's not going anywhere and it will be the first game I pick up with the Switch.

  12. Man, you guys, what a day I had.

I am currently in Fukuoka, Japan and have shitty wifi in my apartment, so I went to a nearby train station to use the free wifi there and watch the shenanigans unfold. Standing in those large white halls watching Japanese come and go through the station whilst I was treated to one of the finest Zelda trailers I have ever seen in the palm of my hand on my smartphone was quite the contrast.

    It even teared me up...

I must say, with the all the things that have changed and are still changing in my life these past few years, I was moved by the fact that Nintendo still managed to remind me of my nostalgic bonds with the Zelda franchise.

    Twas a good day.

Now all I need to do is decide on which system I want to play this marvel.

  13. I long for the day when Nintendo can be looked at by the average gamer as more than just a Mario or Zelda company. There are so many franchises under their wing and yet they keep pushing these two.

They're great franchises and sell well, and that is why other IPs might need a bit more of a push because the former are already guaranteed to sell.

I hope Metroid, Pikmin, F-Zero and Star Fox will one day be as important to Nintendo as Mario and Zelda, but I am not holding my breath.

I'd just love to see all the polished Nintendo games be the best in their respective genres under the Nintendo Seal of Quality.
