  1. Football Season 2006/2007

Question. Why were some Premiership games on yesterday (Friday), I've never seen that happen before.
  2. Post your Egg

Lots of these Mint Aeros Eggs are the best. The small eggs are better I think as unless you go up market and get a Lindt egg, I find most normal big Easter eggs use pretty poor chocolate.
  3. South Park, but out of that lot I'd say Futurama. I previously would have said Family Guy, but since coming back from being cancelled it's been a mere shadow of what it used to be.
  4. Lost - Series 3 [spoilers]

I think they killed him off because he demanded too much money. That's what I heard anyway. And I thought the magic box thing was just a metaphor.
  5. Football Season 2006/2007

Wow, since Arsenal went out of the Champions League I've totally lost track of the competition. I can't believe it's on now, thankfully this thread reminded me. Yay. *pats thread on head* Edit: Roma are winning and Chelsea are drawing at home!! Wow. Champions League rocks. F'only Arsenal were in it still
  6. Rate the band above you!

My brother is always playing that. It's like proper metal isn't it? Sorry to sound like a pansy, but I find them a bit loud and meaningless - but then again, I've never appreciated metal so what would I know. My turn right? L'arc-en-Ciel
  7. Football Season 2006/2007

At the moment, it looks like it wasn't such a bad thing to miss the match
  8. Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

What would be heavenly is an English release of some of the Japan only Fire Emblem games on the Virtual Console, so to build up the hype for this game. Or even include an extra in the game so you can unlock and play one of the original games in English, I'd love to see how they started out.
  9. Official Neighbours Topic

Indeed/ I'm surprised to find no pictures of her in the hot person thread*. I think she's older than her character, neighbours always muck around with character ages to fit them into certain brackets. *hint hint
  10. South park Season 11

South Park seems to be the best animated show on TV (the internet) at the moment. It's really picked up where as Family Guy has just dropped so badly, along with the ever present decline of the Simpsons, and the "nearly, but not quite" American Dad. I hope for the resurrection (it's gonna happen right) of Futurama to take the crown, so to speak.
  11. Football Season 2006/2007

    Sopcast FTW
  12. Do my Penguin for me

Not strictly related to you doing my homework, but as a lot of Maths people occupy this thread, I thought they might be interested. Anyway, a few days ago I went to a higher education day at Reading univesity in which poeple from all different unis ome down and give talks about different courses etc. The law talk I wanted to go to was cancelled, so i went to the one on being a teacher. The talk lasted 20mins and at the end there was time for questions from students, and one person asked what she'd need to do to be a Maths teacher, the response was "a D at A-Level maths" as "this country is way way short on Maths teachers, so the government and schools are told to take anyone on offer even if they only have the minutest qualifications" I find that incredulous, and I feel sorry for the future maths students who are going to be taught by any old fool who just got a D in Maths at A-Level.
  13. Hot and Not

Hot: Hot girls you like Not: Hot girls you like, who upon talking to are found to have an intolerable, not nice personality.
  14. Football Season 2006/2007

Eurgh, ITV is awful, plus you have annoying adverts. BBC is sometimes dull but it's generally good, easy viewing. ITV is just tedious, with no name pundits, unlike the BBC, who have the legend that is Ian Wright.
  15. NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams

I agree, but I think it's to do with how focused they are on this idea of brining in new gamers. It's hard to draw in new gamers, and keep older, more hardcore gamers happy at the same time, as generally what they want in games is pretty much diametrically opposed. I'd say more experienced gamers want a deeper, more rewarding and fulfilling game. where as the "new player" wants just instanteous gratification in a paick up and play kind of way. That said, they still are giving these games, like Smash Bros, Galaxy, Corruption, I just think that the balance is not right at the moment
  16. Are you a square or a squiggle?

Orange circle. I'd pretty much agree with their description too.
  17. Hot and Not

Hot: Xbox 360 Not: Nintendo Wii
  18. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Here's the full US one, with Voldemort in it to kinda ruin the look of it.
  19. The Great Moan Thread

"If you gotta problem, whatcha gonna do? Give it up? Or believe in yourself? If you gotta problem, whatcha gonna do? Like Parappa, you gotta believe!" So as Parappa says, if you've got a problem or a moan then just believe in yourself and solve it
  20. The 1up Show/1UpYours

I agree again, I played a Wii for the near first time a few days ago, and I played SSX Blur which from a distance looks like it could easily be a PS2 game, but after playing with Wii controls (which albeit took some explaining) I really really enjoyed the game. I just found it a lot of fun, which is odd as I didn't really like the SSX PS2 games. So port or not, fun is the overriding factor. I wouldn't have any qualms about Blur or Black Hand even if they could be compared to PS2 games, just so long as they are fun and I enjoy playing them
  21. Japanorama

I'm planning on doing Japanese at university and I was wondering even though you're just doing Biology 'with' it, if/how much your Japanese or Biology suffers? I'm looking at Japanese And Politics/International Relations, but I'm concerned whether both will pull me in opposite directions, and I'd end up screwing both subjects up.
  22. Post your desktop (56k time to Panic!)

I like the randomness of the idea of a cat as a Nazi.
  23. Post your setup and game/DVD collection

I only had time to take a quick photo before my very low grade camera ran out of batteries.
  24. I'm just curious in this day in age how many people keep up to date with today's political agenda or if many take the "they're all lying corrupt so-and-sos" and try and blank any political goings on. I do Politics for AS (but I would like to think that I would be interested in it regardless), so I generally try and read what I can in newspapers each day about what's happening in the Commons and such. But what about you? How involved and informed are you? Are you a member or strong supporter of any particular political party? And if not, why not?
  25. Confused, about my future. I think I know what I want, then I change, then I change again. I wish I had a time machine to see the outcomes of key decisions I will make, so to make sure I make the right choice.
