What I don't get is, isn't the burden of proof on the police, and all they have is a caretaker who says he locked the door, and it has been mentioned a few times in this thread that he may be an unreliable witness. On top of that, you'd need definite proof that the door was locked at that time as well, right? Yeah, fight it.

David Bowie?

The first banning scandal I remember was way back in the day, involving members, called Zeikfred & Splieuh (Doubt that's the right spelling, but if you remember, you know who I mean), some 2 1/2 year ago. But heres the best part; Zeikfred was banned for uploading pictures, and eventually pop-ups of tubgirl and goaste. Damn, those were crazy times. The other one, I don't know why he was banned. Anyone else remember this?

Vol. 2 was really more about plot and emotional depth rather than violence, style and gore, which was what Vol. 1 was alkl about. I like to think as Kill Bill vol.1&2as one film which incorporates all of this, rather than two separate films. Die Hard with a Vengence Sooooooo badass. The second best Die Hard after the original, IMO. The rush to Wall Street & when McClane & Sam Jackson's character first meet are the best parts of the movie. Yippie-Ki-Ay Motherfucker! 8.5/10

No Zodiac?

A lot of people are putting losing weight/diet/exercise as a NY resolution. Isn't it tradition to try and lose weight when the new year comes around anyway?

The Bourne Ultimatum One thing tat I admire about the Bourne series is their focus and execution on it's action sequences, and Ultimatum did not disappoint in this area. Great plot as well and Damon was as goos as ever. I prefer the more carefully produced action films like 'Casino Royale' but never-the-less it's one of the better action films of the decade. 8/10 The Bucket List The Bucket List is a sort of 'Dramady' starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman as two old men with terminal cancer who decide to write a list of things they would like to do before they die (that's the 'bucket list'), and then follow their dreams they wrote down. It started off pretty intriguing, but it soon dwindled into something predictable and over-sentimental. It had it's moments and I loved Jack Nicholson (as always), but still not a great film. It should have come with a diabetic warning, really. In fact, I preferred the trailer to this film. 5/10

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead Decent film that starts off pretty slowly, and nothing particularly interesting happens for a while after the opening robbery, but as it gets further into the film, it starts getting more intense. Engaging plot, great characters and a non-linear story line put into good use. Again, the slow start lets it down a little, however. Not Sydney Lumet's best but still worth seeing 8/10 The Simpsons Movie I was lucky enough to get this in my Christmas stocking yesterday, I had the pleasure of viewing it again i the afternoon. I like it, if I'm being honest. It's more of a love-letter to the past 20 years of the show, but think that was the best way of approaching 'The Simpsons Movie'. Oh, and Comic Book Guy was awesome! 8/10 Goodfellas I don't know how many times I've seen Goodfellas now, but this definitely won't be the last. Anyone who dislikes this film is, in my books, medically dead. Scorsese directed his arse off on this and gave us such an engrossing rise & fall tale in the mob. How anyone can dislike this is beyond me. Infinity+1/Infinity

Yep. Some stuff. Probably cumilating to about £50-60 worth when I was a mischievious 14 year old. I eventuallly got caught and was arrested. Never tried since. And I suppose the odd pen here and there.

Yeah, I was like that the first time I wtched Blade Runner. I suppose it was because I found the purposely slow pacing polarising. However, after watching it again, I realised how well it deals with rather strong themes, like humanity, scientific ethics etc. Not to mention, it has one of the most epic opening shots in film ever. Love this film. Hell, it's one of my absolute favourites. I could probably write pages on it. Good call. anyway... Casino This is my second time seeng this, and I enjoyed it a lot more this time around, probably because I wasn't distracted several times from it. It's a Scorsese gangster epic simlar to Goodfellas, but, whilst I don't think it was as great as Goodfellas, you could tell that Scorsese put his heart and soul into filming Casino, and it pays off in the end because nearly every scene feels so vivid when recalling watching this. It was a little over long, but it was still an excellent crime-drama. Not for the faint hearted, though. 8.5/10

I don't quite understand what you're saying here. If you mean to change the constitution, that's practically an impossibility. I mean, they couldn't even introduce an amendment about equal rights for women, so I think tinkering with the 2nd Amendment might be a bit too far out there to reach.

Well, as this is turning into right to bear arms debate, I might as well add my two cents. I don't think it is necessarily as simple as gun crime equals gun violence. I mean, there are several other countries in the world where guns are legal, and they seem to function perfectly. The problem in the USA is their lack of gun control because of the way some Americans interperate the constitution. We all know that the second amendment states that every American has the right to bear arms, so whenever the US government passes or tries to pass a law concerning gun control, many Americans consider it unconstitutional, and is eventually struck down by the Supreme Court. That's what pisees me off about the US and it's political system. It binds too closely to it's constitution. I wish the Supreme Court would have the right to say "Well, it may be unconstitutional, but this is just ridiculous." In fact, even if the Supreme Court was against a gun-control law, the law can still be in place anyway. The Supreme Court has no power to enforce their judgements, so the President or Congress can go against it if they want, but alas, that'll never happen. Anyway, back to my point. You can't just simply ban guns, when infact the problem goes a little deeper.

To be fair, that's just bad editing, really. I highly doubt that the number of mericans interviewed in that video is more than 1% of the total number of Americans they interviewed altogether. And also, to repeat what some have said before, if you did something similar to this in the UK, or any other country in the western world for that matter, you would probably get similar results. Having said that, 10 Eiffel Towers in France? Seriously?
