    i brought a ps3 from eBay, now the seller is reputable and all that, he sent the item off now the thing is before he sent the item i told him to devalue the item to a reasonable amount so it avoid custom tax or that i will just have to pay a small amount of tax, now the item was purchased for $450 now the seller put as the down the value $39.99, this is far too low for a package that size, now can some please tell me if they base tax on the weight or the actual value of the item, also plz note i told the seller to package the item as a birthay present i.e wrapped upped and with a card, so the customs people will less likily look at it, this may help so its worth a try

     

    this is getting me really worried that some customs officials will be knocking on my door with a summons for trying to fraud them

     

    i have a excuse that the item was worth $399.99 but the seller mistakingly put down $39.99

     

    so can someone please help?

    I've still got my pre-order with Gamestaion from last April.

     

     

     

    I was surprised at how much I like the PS3. I've only had it a week, but I'm really enjoying it.

    I've played Resistance online with no lag in a 40 person room, also there's no big drop in graphics for the online part of the game compared to other games like RB6 Vegas on the 360 which takes a drop in graphics for the online play.

    What I like best is that you can tell it's a class bit of kit, it's so quiet and mine does not run hot at all.

    I'm starting to prefer the PS3 dashbord over the 360's now that I'm getting used to it. But Live is a better multiplayer experience with the headsets and cameras etc.

    But my main gripe with it is when I get signed out of the network for no reason, but hopefully in time things like this will be fixed in time.

     

    hey haze how much did u pay for your ps3? and also what region is it? and lastly are you using a step down converter or have u plugged straight into the mains with a kettle plug?

    Subsequent supply problems and stock shortages that have plagued the North American and Japanese markets and lead to ongoing speculation that the European release could be pushed back even further.

    VGA cable turned up and oh my the picture is amazing! So much clearer and lighter, the sound quality is less though because for VGA my tv only has a single 3mm jack.

     

    Another lame thing is I can't play the original Halo and I going to assume any other game using PAL-50. Which is a shame because I'm going to have to keep swapping cables about.

     

    did you change from component? because too me component looks more vibrant then VGA

    Don't exaggerate, I don't have an RGB cable even and it isnt't very jaggy. I'm enjoying the game, I got used to the controls quickly, the cutscenes are cool, the musics are awesome and the graphics sometimes are very good other times medium, but they couldnt be done on GC for sure.

     

    try using the component cable, then u will see what i mean by "jaggy"

    nope tis is the jaggiest game i ever played, wtf did nintendo skimp on the aa features of the wii.

     

    ThinK long and hard guys u want clear but jaggie gfx get the component cable, else stick with RGB

    As far as the question about getting the pre-orders to you on release day, I'm not too sure. I got Monkey Ball for the Wii a bit late, but I think that was more down to shortages than anything else. Anyway, I'd rather save money and get a game a little late than pay full price to get it on the day.

    Ah thats a shame, :hmm: never mind just thought I'd ask on the off chance. :smile: Incidentally if you don't mind me asking, where did you get yours from and how much did you pay for them? I want to try and get that cable for around £50 - £65 if I can, so if you know of anywhere that might stock it for that price then I'd be greatful for that info. Thanks, ^^

     

    i brought it on eBay, for the same price brand new the only reason i sold it was because i honestly could not see a difference in quality between those high end cables and the one that cable with my AV center connector box

    why does every thing looked so jaggie, did Nintendo skimp on the AA features on the wii?

     

    Did the GC support component cables? That might be why. Also HD wasn't even invented I think when the GC was out and Resi was made.

     

    i think your right, i'll try resi 4 which has progressive scan support so that should make it look better
