I think Roy (and maybe Marth too) is definitely out. I'm hoping for Black Knight to be in now as heavy character are quite rare.

We are in the first year of the console. Furthermore, third party developpers didn't believe in the success of the Wii and start developping games late. With sales like this, I'm confident saying that more and more great third party games will be announced.

Already have Tenkaichi 2 so I won't buy this one. I'll wait for the 5 one to buy. They release one per year.

Melee stage were not particularly based on N64 games. They were from various consoles from Nes to N64 even for franchises with recent games (for example the Zelda II stage). IMO, DK stages of Melee were more based on the first DK Country or a random DK atmosphere. Only the music was from DK64. I really hope they make a DKC2 stage on the pirate ship and Kaptain K.Rool as a playable character. IMO, he has a lot more potential than the King version and this game need a pirate! Seeing that stage, I really wonder why Nintendo doesn't make a real DK game and not just spin-offs like Jungle Beat, King of Swing, Konga,...

Exacly. Have fun with friends beside you is the best way to appreciate it. It piss me how people now always want online for every single game even if it don't suit at all. I already see people moaning about Mario Party which don't have online. An online mode for Smash bros would be a good addition but I personally don't care if it does'nt have. It would be full of self-called pro-players who only want to play 1vs1 on Final destination and without items. Too boring for me. I'd rather play with people I know beside me. Talking about Dead or Alive, the online don't have to handle items and stage hazards. SSB is a more complex game.

I really want another Eternal Darkness. All the Lovecraft inspiration and the sanity thing was really awesome. Not a graphical wonder nor a gameplay pearl but the atmosphere compensate that.

I think it's the introduction of a story mode considering Sakurai said he want to enhance the single player game. The robot could be generic ennemies from this like polygons or wireframes (really don't reconize it). This could also mean the appearance of a original playable character made to represent the smash bros series.

I think it will be his B+down like Ness psychic barrier, Fox's deflector and probably Meta-knight invisibilty cape. Seeing more about ZSSamus, I really feel that Sheik will not return and will be replaced by her.

It must be. Zamus look like a full character so far. It will sad if you can only play as her depending on the appearance of a rare item... I also think Samus armor have to return if Zamus dies because it will be a little unfair for people playing as Samus to nearly unable the use of final smash if they want to keep her with her amor. Just a temporary "weakness" and not a permanent one.

I have already think of him as a Charade-like character who changes into another character each life he use. But I think the nightmare from Zelda: Link's awakening could have the same role with more personnality, changing into a dark version of each character.

I really don't want Meowth outside of a pokeball. It will be kinda sad to have so much first gen pokemon. I think 4 is a good number for playable pokemons. Just replace Pichu by another and made him appear in a pokeball. I'd rather have more franchise (and there's a lot of possibilities) represented than always the same. I also hope there will be unlockable special costumes in this one. It missed me much in the previous ones. This also can be a way to make Dr Mario come back without taking a full spot in the roster. Some costumes may also give a different look to some attacks and sounds (ex: Dr Mario pills). For example: -Mario: Dr Mario, Tom Selleck Mario (the one with sunglasses from Sunshine), Tanuki suit,... -Link: Zora armor, magic armor, fierce deity link,... -Fox: Adventures costume, (Wolf?),... -Luigi: Mr L, frog suit,... -Samus: Power suit, Dark suit, Light suit, Fusion suit,... -DK: Funky costume (can't find a better one for him),... -Bowser: Skeleton bowser, bowletta,... but Giga bowser transformation may cause problem for this one. -Pikachu and Jigglypuff: Hats like in previous ones -Mewtwo: Metal armor from his movie -Yoshi: Boshi and other yoshi characters from Mario RPGs -Captain Falcon: Blood falcon (already in Melee), Phoenix,... -Fire emblem characters: post-promotion look -Peach: Nurse, sports outfit,... -Meta-Knight: Samurai meta-knight -Pit: Armor -Zero suit Samus: 2 pieces zero suit -Wario: classic outfit and the others of the numerous costumes for his games ...

Yep (myabe he move during this attack?) and Hyperbeam is a relatively common attack. This pokemon must have a better treatment considering his original abilities and huge potential. Why didn't you mention Mewtwo? He sure need changes but he must be in. And maybe there will be no new pokemon.

Shit! I was hoping him as a playable character to replace Pichu. He had real potential with his morph abilities. Thus Lucario will probably be in.
