  1. Wacom Bamboo is the correct answer for you. Decent price for a A5 tablet at around £60-£75 I believe. It's pretty much a Graphire (more expensive line), but kinda re-styled.

If you really want to push the boat out and are going to use it professionally then get an Intuos like me. They don't come cheap though. :heh:

  2. I personally do think it's great. It's a great little feature to have, and for me when looking for a certain ideal reference image for something having the option to quickly skim through 10-20 pages of google images on the fly without having to click on each page separately is truly great. I also think it adds a decent feature to facebook profiles, when you don't want to click through every image you can just look at all the thumbnails on one page and click on what grabs your attention.

The app also doesn't force itself on you. It's just a nifty little extra option to have while viewing images............you can obviously still just browse normally, and whenever you want that view just click the play button.

  3. My connections screwed guys. Thought it would be alright, but I'm guessing other people in my house are caining the net or downloading...............plus I've got my connection shared with my PC anyway.

Cheers for the invite though and had a good 10mins of playtime..........will invest in a wireless adapter, as I really do have problems connecting to Live when I'm at my Uni house.

Will add some of you up as well anyway.

  4. Got a Falcon with a BenQ drive myself, but only tend to get the grinding when I turn the console on or when inserting a disc. Other than that it's dead quiet compared to my friends older revision of the console. Like I've said many times before though, the console is just generally fucking loud. My PC doesn't even make a third of the noise that the 360 does.

And lol at new Tina O'Brian sig.

  5. Not perhaps as good as i was anticipating, and i think the other season openers have been better, but there was some interesting stuff, and for the first time in ages watching lost i found myself really quite confused...

Totally agree. Still awesome as always.......but kinda needed more major developments, although in the past the first few eps of each season have tended not to be groundbreaking development wise.

Most interesting thing about the episode is who are the 6? We know three, but who are the rest. Guessing Sawyer will be one of them though.

(soz if spoilers, but you shouldn't be in this thread if you've yet to watch it like we've always done with previous Lost threads.)

dan-likes-trees - Neutral Milk Hotel I see there in your LastFM, great taste.

  6. Yeah it's one of those games that really went under the radar ;_;

Me and Jordan chatted about it yesterday in the Live Arcade thread, but not too many people seemed to care. Recommend everyone picks it up though, so awesome.

And Shorty, I'm having trouble hitting them scores in HD mode...........didn't know if you played in 'normal mode' that it recorded them as beat. Will give it ago.

Only got 142000 on Area 1 on HD mode so far...........also failed on completing the Area 5 boss in it's last form. The game is definitely harder than I remember, unless I'm just becoming weak sauce. :indeed:

Edit - Will send you a friend request Shorty for Rez Score Attack purposes. And cheers Dyson for the add as well.

  7. Beautiful Katamari demo is up now, as I'm downloading it.

It's also not locked to gold, so everyone can download it. Fuck em though, this should be a download game anyway.

Edit - Second play through of demo and I get stuck straight away between some objects and can't move. Fair enough it's a demo though.

  8. It is indeed pure awesome. Only had time to play the first two stages this morning as had lectures, and I've just quickly tried the normal Rez mode, and yes Jordan, does indeed feel slower.

The old skool mode runs in 30fps, while HD version is at 60fps apparently. Also missing widescreen on the old mode.

I didn't get 100% shot down either on first go earlier today. Was at 97% I think. Love the game though............and I agree about the achievements, hopefully will be able to get them all as well unless I get sick of the game or end up getting distracted by another title.

I think it's pretty amazing considering we're getting this for around £6 or so, when it originally came out at £30-£40 years back. I would of happily paid more than 800 points for this.

    Awesome Eurogamer review. http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=91540

  9. You genuinely only need 2GB and dual core, almost all the time you're running a quad core, I bet you money it'll be pretty idle

Got to agree with this. I picked up a quad core purely for rendering, as it pisses all over using a dual core for that.............if I wasn't doing any DCC stuff though then I wouldn't have bothered. It's like having 4-5 computer screens and never really having a need for them. :heh:

  10. Does anyone have Sega Rally? I am 900th best in the world on Alpine 1 -- FOR THE MOMENT.

Online TT is definitely the best part of the game. I don't get much of a kick out of non-humans anymore.

Add my GamerTag up if you want............as some of us over at NeoGaf have been trying to get some multiplayer down this weekend. Was playing for a few hrs over Sunday with random people doing ranked and normal races. Great fun.

Alpine 1. It's 'THE' Time Attack track to be racing. I've yet to unlock everything in the game, as I've only had it for a few weeks............but I did hold one of the fastest times on this track during testing in the offices. Need to unlock the RS200, then those sub 3.05 times will come rolling in if I can be arsed.

  11. Don't bother Ash it will give a stretched picture as Monitors don't support the 360 resolution.

    AKA looks rubbish IMO.

Not true. If you have a decent monitor that supports 1.1 pixel mapping then all would be fine.

Looks like crap on a normal SD TV over a decent resolution on a 19" widescreen.
