I saw it a few days back. Good film and had some very likeable characters who were made interesting along with being well acted. The film has some powerful emotional parts as well, one being when Dwayne finds out he's colour-blind after refusing to talk until he gets into the air force. Also extremely funny in parts, and the Granddad talking to Dwayne in the camper van about girls got me in hysterics. It's not up there with the best of films though that I've seen. 8/10 from me it gets. Pretty sure it may be up for a few Oscars as well this year.

That doesn't really hold up with his statement that it'll 'automatically make the experience more enjoyable'. Anyway, the Live stuff will be all over Vista by the end of the year, and Alan Wake is Vista only I believe. So I don't know what the hell Xbox Live has got to do with comparing the platform you play it on.

Yes, go buy the episodic releases. They deserve your moneys. Don't know for sure, but I was under the impression Hotel Dusk is under 20hrs or so......could try that if you haven't already.

Going to have to miss out on a lot of good games this year.......as there is just too many quality releases. My top ten are:- 1. Super Mario Galaxy 2. Halo 3 3. Assassin's Creed 4. Metroid Prime 3 5. Super Smash Bros Brawl 6. Virtua Fighter 5 (360) 7. Unreal Tournament 3 (PC) 8. No More Heroes 9. Crysis 10. GTA IV Problem here is that all of these are due out in the last quarter of the year. Which means I'm screwed for having the time to play all these and the funds. But these are definitely my top 10 for the year. Alan Wake and Half Life 2: Episode 2 also deserve mentions. Anyone else worried about not having the time or money this year for all these quality releases?

I'm seriously not. When is this film due...........end of 08 or somewhere in 09? Blue-ray will be the lead SKU most likely because of how things pan out with PS3 penetration by then. A DVD release should also happen hopefully.

Of course Lennon should start over him. Super quick he is, shame he was ill and couldn't play during tonight's game. Ferdinand made some sloppy passes, but he also defended well when it was required. Woodgate played well for sure, and hopefully he can get a lot more caps in some of the games coming up. Partnership between the two did work well overall though.

Before I didn't even particularly think he played all that well after watching him play for Chelsea. But yeh, def one of the better players tonight. If you can't see that then I'm guessing you weren't watching the game. Maybe saying best player of the night was a bit too much, but played really well I thought and caused problems down the right.

Foster did indeed play outstandingly. I don't think Joey Barton was given enough minutes though on the field to prove anything. But he was creating when and moving the ball forward whenever he had the chance. Wright-Phillips was the best player for England I thought.

Never really thought much of Crouch before. And I agree with what Alan Hanson was saying (think it was him), that maybe a totally different main strike partnership is needed. Rooney is a must obviously, but him along with Defoe or Dyer would give defenders more of a nightmare than just Crouch heading for the long balls and crosses. A lot of players missing though through to injury and illness that really should of been there. And I agree with what's been said above, that it was quite a boring game. Good goal by Spain though.

Having a 160gb at 5400 over 60gb Notebook HDD at 5400 will increase speed ever so slightly because of the density of the sectors. Remember a thread on the notebook forums ages ago discussing it. But if it's purely seek times you want to improve then grab yourself a 7200rpm drive.

Looks like this did need a bit of a bump then, considering some people had missed it previously. Glad you've had the chance to read through it though. I'd mostly agree with the fact you have to start out as friends for having really good relationships, and these are the ones that last and the ones we all want......they just don't come too often and when it doesn't turn out to be, then you'll feel like the world has fallen apart or something. I had a relationship with someone for a good few years where we had just met on a night out, not knowing each other previously, and throughout I felt for me there was no connection what so ever, and that whole relationship was more a case of we'd just like to screw each other and so it was all lust and attraction. But when you have this sort of relationship sometimes one of the people in it falls drastically for the other, with the other person in the relationship has no feelings what so ever. The manipulative part is frustrating and makes you feel like an absolute joke when you've had a connection with someone for so long. But sometimes you just have to make sure you're strong personality wise that you're not such a pushover and someone who can be used purely as cock teasing fodder. You'll never forget your first love, and because of this when (and or if) it does end it'll be unbearable. Would of thought everyone would know that though. Makes me smile though when I hear people of young ages are madly in love. Happy for you both definitely. Lame post material avoided, as somehow I made discussion out of it.......and I'm usually someone around here who tends not to discuss that much really. Consequences made me and prob her not do anything. Don't know what will happen now, but it'll be interesting to see where the friendship goes and how it pans out over the next few days. Optimistic maybe......just got to avoid that abyss where you hardly talk to each other, as it's happened before to me with someone else in a similar situation. Maybe I can use that experience from before to my advantage. We'll see. Edit - Go me....with long posts for a change.

Thought I'd bump this........dunno how far back it is as I searched it. Problem is, at Uni there's 5 of us who are really good friends, and we all got acquainted really well within the first few days of being at Uni. But one of these 5 is a girl, and we're all moving in together next year. I've always thought I was in the good ladder with this girl, and I know I have the biggest connection with her out of us all. Then the other night I kind of half attempted to take it to another level, but kind of knowing myself that if any of us lot had anything going on with her it would cause friction and various problems. We watched a film together in bed after coming back from a night out being totally wrecked alcohol wise. Film ended and then we snuggled/spooned and all that bullshit with arms around each other etc. We both turned round facing each other with our lips and faces being like an inch away while breathing heavily into one another for an amount of time where I feel we were waiting for someone to make a move. I'm sure it was on both of our minds, but then again what happens if one of us was just wrong (that probably being me). Then we parted ways as both needed some proper sleep. And now the abyss is looming I feel, although we have been talking like normally to some extent but just not as much as we usually do. I just hope I neither of us fuck it up for the whole group of us, as we're all well close and pretty much best of mates. Saying best of mates there in a way is my answer that nothing should really be done.......but sometimes that's hard. I'm not confiding in n-e for answers to the situation, as I think looking for answers about relationships and all that from people on an internet forum is getting a bit desperate. Think I just needed to talk about it a bit, whether that be residing it in a post to myself or just sharing it with people. This is a good thread though, and talking about these things really does help us I feel.

Been here for time since sometime in 2002 iirc. There has been some well funny times on the old boards. Shame all that history was kinda deleted not too long ago.

What he said is true, but he really should understand why it's done like that.......same for pretty much every other TV series or show. Would be boring otherwise if it wasn't over exaggerated.
