  1. Bayonetta 2 Special Edition for £34.75 at Gameseek:

    http://www.gameseek.co.uk/pd/VideoGamesh2ma4j6uzq/

Use this code at checkout for the £2 off: 2354682

I cancelled my pre-order at Base.com and jumped on this deal instead!

Thank you!! Ordered this along with Epic Mickey World of Illusion 3DS, which is the cheapest I can find it (£12.31).

Also want to point out they have Metroid: Other M for £5.68:

Absolute steal for this great sequel to Super Metroid, which got a much worse rap than it deserved at the time because of the voice over in the cutscenes and the "find the hidden pixel" subgames.

Edit: Ooh they also have The Kore Gang, and for the criminal price of £6.38!! Never been able to find this 3D platformer but loved the look/style of it so can't wait to try it.

  2. There's a very good chance it will be. The bargains thread on Gaf is full of people complaining about unsealed and used goods being sent to them by GAME at the moment. I still can't believe they are getting away with such practices.

They've been doing that as long as I can remember; I even remember getting used (and scratched) discs in the shop before which had obviously either been returned, or maybe taken home by staff & played or something.

Once even found some blue pen scribblings in the manual from a game I got in the shop, which was still sealed in the cellophane. Must've been re-sealed...

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge (Wii U) BRAND NEW AND SEALED £7.95 - thegamecollectionoutlet - through Argos Outlet Ebay.

The reviews were awful but I'm tempted to buy it for collection purposes and for once they deliver to Ireland.

Probably worth it for a tenner (incl postage), but the game was a massive disappointment after the first 2 (and sigma editions). They removed most of the interesting bits like the puzzles etc, and it's basically just fight after fight after fight...at least that's all I saw as far as I played on the PS3 version.

  3. That's an understatement...

Anyway, anyone here who's played the Mega Man: Battle Network games? How are they as RPG's?

The closest I came was Network Transmission on the Gamecube, which is a side-scrolling platformer based in the Battle Network universe. Fun game with great music but rock hard!

  4. I have the original on PS3, which was a serious case of being the "bad port". Frame rate & loading time issues, and some dropped graphical detail. Still didn't stop me really enjoying it, so I'm really excited to play through it again in (assumedly) full detail & 60fps :)

  5. I kinda hope they don't get the IP. This is no "Duke Nukem Forever" type story where they revive the game and complete it (or even in this case remake it the way it was meant to be), but a completely different 2D game that's hardly going to be using the Wii controller in an immersive way.

  6. I'm sure most of us have had the following email this morning. Does anyone know what's changed, and more importantly if there's anything nasty in there, we should be aware of?

    Dear User,

The terms of the Nintendo Network Agreement have been updated to meet new statutory requirements in the area of e-commerce and consumer protection.

You can view the new terms under http://microsite.nintendo-europe.com/terms/.

If you do not object to the updated terms within 4 weeks after they have been communicated to you, the new terms will be deemed to be accepted by you. The updated Nintendo Network Agreement comes into force on 13th June 2014.

    Nintendo

  7. This game is currently £4.95 here

Do you think it's worth picking up if I already completed the original on Xbox 360 (more than once, on hard etc)?

Absolutely! Even at double that price it's worth it. Just the improved boss fights & gamepad features alone make it stand on its own, let alone all the other extra bits they've squeezed in everywhere else.

  8. Yeah, it's a Wii game but it's an insane deal.

Xenoblade for £14.99 with the red classic controller at Argos. I already have the game but I've reserved a copy at my local store. Get this snapped up people!

    HERE

Wow, that is a fantastic deal. But for some reason the frame on the right with the "buy" & "collect in store" buttons comes up blank. Just on that game tho (it shows fine with others) so I assume that means they're either out of stock, or have disabled the deal?

  9. Loved this game so much. The story really sucked me in unexpectedly & it's one of the few games where i've reached the end & immediately gone back & played it through again on hard.

I kinda hope it gets a cartridge release too, 'cos that's how I got RK's other DS games when they weren't available in UK/EUR - Dementium took a year to get here and ATV Wild Ride never got here (I'd love to try the 3DS remake of that but unfortunately it's digital download, and only came out in the US so you can't even import it).

  10. Space Harrier is the only game I play with the 3DS (XL)'s 3D slider turned all the way up. The exaggerated 3D really works well on this game, unlike others where it feels "too much" and I normally play with it around 50%.

I've always appreciated this game despite never getting very far on it. They had it at a holiday resort when I was young, I later got the Sega Ages version on the Saturn and played that a lot, but if you enjoy the game this is easily the definitive version to get. Widescreen is a welcome improvement, but do yourself a favour and turn the 3D slider all the way up for the full distance effect, and you'll be surprised how much better you are at dodging between pillars than you ever were on the 2D versions.

I can't wait to try the others as time & cash flow allows. I think Galaxy Force II is next on my list...
