  1. Because they are young care free mutants, before Magneto appeared and genocide was on the cards, before gruff wolverine snikted every bad guy, before mutants were hated by all, before sentinals killed 16 millions mutants in the space of seven hours, before the scarlet witch depowered ninety five percent of the worlds remaining mutants, before a sentinal from the future came and tried to kill the remaining 200, before a mutant civil war engulfed the rest of the mutants.

    (did i cover it all...?)

Poor Scott, if he kills himself after this, I will deem it fitting to his story.

Edit: Godammit why is Land drawing it? why can't Terry Dodson be the regular artist

  2. Yarp, its in stores now. But we can't talk about illegal things on here, check your phone in 5 minutes.

I really didn't think he was going to do it. I was like "oh dino, you environmentalist you" and then... "wait what!" shiiit

  3. A lot of people are assuming he has lost his Bat connection because of the lack of any mention of it in the Teen Titans info:

Even so, for Tim to be with the Teen Titans he must be some sort of hero originally...

Just read Invincible 80, it reminded me why I love Invincible in the first place.

    What an Ending!

  4. Why would he lose his? He is being called Red Robin, suggests growth from being Robin. Anyways! a list of what I am to get

    01 - Justice League

    03 - Aquaman

    04 - The Flash

05 - The Fury of Firestorm

    06 - The Savage Hawkman

    08 - Justice League International

    10 - Captain Atom

    12 - Green Lantern

    13 - Green Lantern Corps

    14 - The New Guardians

    15 - Red Lanterns

    16 - Batman

    17 - Detective Comics

    18 - Batman & Robin

    20 - Batwoman

    24 - Nightwing

    27 - Swamp Thing

    28 - Animal Man

    30 - Demon Knights

Job well done DC, that's not even including the soon to be released Superman titles...

  5. I don't really have a problem with pirating. I think it's a completely fair response to absolutely ludicrous cinema ticket prices.

I would rather see a film in the cinema, of course. If prices weren't ridiculous I'd almost definitely spend more overall because I'd go a lot more.

I do find pirating comics bizarre. It's definitely a much less secure industry financially than the film industry.

Oh you say that and it is true for any company that isn't the big two, but those two (more marvel than DC) can survive a large decline in sales. Hey, I love comics, but i am a student and I can't afford to pay hundreds a year for comics, but I still want to read them. Give me more money and I will buy comics with it :)

  6. Batman

    Batman & Robin

    Nightwing

    Superman

    Action Comics

    Flash

    JL

    DC Universe Presents

    Green Lantern

    Green Lantern New Guardians

    Green Lantern Corps

    Aquaman

    Justice League International

    Fury of the Firestorm

To be fair this reboot/replace thing has got me more interested in DC comics, i'll probably get more than this once I see the solicits...

  7. Well we know what Justice League Dark is now:

    Not something i'll be reading

Realistically if they called it anything but JLD they would lose sales, surprised the swamp things not there too...

Happenstance, which 1's will you be getting?

  8. Demons run when a good man goes to war

Night will fall and drown the sun

When a good man goes to war

Friendship dies and true love lies

Night will fall and the dark will rise

When a good man goes to war

Demons run, but count the cost

The battle's won, but the child is lost

I must say it was chilling when they had that voice over.

  9. It's no Age of Apocalypse, that's for sure. Liking Thomas Wayne as Batman though- clever little twist.

Age of Apocalypse was immense though. Magneto as leader of the X-Men in memory of the murdered Xavier fighting a resistance war against a fascist mutant state run by Apocalypse. It just rocked. So many characters moved around, re designed, given new histories... it was great, and unlike Flashpoint it was given space to flex out and expand. It had texture and depth.

AoA was what 4 miniseries? only one was completely key, I think (if memory serves) it was 36 issues in total, Flashpoint is 55 :P

You've got to laugh at the reboot thing though, David finch's batman is getting a new one, despite it only ever being 2 issues.

  10. Wow, just wow, we thought it may happen, but thats just amazing, they've created all new jumping on points that really work best if you've read FlashPoint. I must say this is the ballsiest move i've ever seen by the big two, their relaunching their whole line and going to day and date them digitally? Simply outstanding, could either work amazingly or backfire.

By the by, Jim lee's batman's costume is the batman inc costume, it's safe to say that it is sticking around.

Geoff and Jim, its going to be beautiful.
