  1. Rumour has it

They are amalgamations of super heroes

    Hulk and colossus mayhap?

Oh and everyone needs to check out secret warriors 25 this week, all of the series secrets are going to be revealed, and there's still three issues left :D

  2. So yeh... probably thee best spiderman issue i've ever read and yes i've read stan lee's run and beyond that.

    It was just so amazing.

Seriously his parents faces and gwen's body are just haunting images

I nearly managed to name every character in that double page spread too, damn.

    Also! Double dose of Spidey

The talk with franklin was just superb

  3. I don't mean to pry ... Well, actually, yeah, that's exactly what I mean to: What was all this about? :heh:

Yeh well, Ellmiester hates everyone (or just me) and everyone (or just me) hates him too.

    Hello coolness, you still cool?

  4. I'm in Konya, in Western Anatolia. Pretty much half way between Ankara and Antalya, if you know your Turkish geography. People are coming over to see me in Antalya or Izmir over the easter hols (not that I get them, seeing as I'm out of Christendom), so if you fancy it...

I'm EFL teaching, which is both fun and interesting, which is nice. I'm taking a year or two out of Uni, and am going to change course when I go back, to history or history and something (King's do history and war studies, or maybe a language. Sadly, Surrey don't do history. :( ) Given that I have 3 years civil engineering left anyway, I might as well change to something I enjoy.

Have you left University then? I should point out that Kent has a pretty good war studies course, their history one isn't so great though too few contact hours.

So your living in Turkey for the next year or so? That's pretty awesome, teaching is pretty fun, I imagine it's harder work out there though.

I wish I could come out, but my dissertation is due on the 10th of May, I have to spend the holidays doing that (my holidays are two/three weeks after everyone elses anyway).

  5. What's your job? Do you know Baroness Hale? I'm off to a talk by her in a week I think where she talks about her year in the Supreme Court.

I'm getting there with my own research now :p You're too late. Although still struggling for some sources! Rather annoying.

Damn, its actually interested me, send me your essay! And apologies, I keep forgetting we now have a Supreme Court. I was referring to the United States. But that does sound really cool!

Seeing as you appear to have been sans le Facebook for some time, here's something that's changed that you may have missed: I now live in Turkey.

    Query: Why? and which part?

  6. I think the implication is that at least you personally can laugh about it, they cannot, being dead and all. (hope I wasn't Captain Obvious there)

Any hoots, Rez, I know work is very sucky. Did you know we as a nation are working more but achieving less? Whenever I thought I was going to have bad days I would break up tasks in order to make myself feel like I was achieving more. It worked really well.

Spoke to my dad today, his contribution to the conversation was:

"We all know your grand fathers going to die soon, so don't be shocked."

    Fantastic

  7. Hey, welcome back DomJcg. And even the tough decisions can be worthwhile, as you've shown with the results so far.

Why thank you Jimbob, it's been tough but worth it, i can say now that its made me a better person and far happier than I was.

@Jayseven, again thank you, how is your life going? do you still have purple hair (you did the last time I saw you) Also, its nice to see that not much has changed in the way of peoples signatures and so on :)

Ell you have some form of a bomb heading towards you in the post ;0 I'm still gathering your research too, from what I understand, it was a pretty pivotal moment in the courts.

By the by, today I worked for 6 hours and am currently writing about the supreme court :o

  8. I don't know if you have it at your gym, but my hour routine is

20 minutes on the treadmill (120 calories, 50 meters climbed, 2.21 miles walked)

    Chest Press

    Shoulder Press

    Seated Row

    Triceps extension

    Double Crunch

    Back Weights

    1:30 minute of the plank

    Stretch out

    :)

The extension thing you've shown is hard as to work. I don't go near it.

  9. /Blanket Post

Well it's a long story that all started with a letter. Over a year ago I received a letter from my university congratulating me on my marks and wanting me to continue to do well. I then handed in my next essay feeling very confident and pleased with myself. Unfortunately I got a 42. Ouch. I basically decided then and there that things weren't working the way they were. So I decided to change. This unfortunately was one of the things that I didn't have time for (sorry guys!). Since then I have achieved a lot:

Achieved a 2:1 for my second year, despite the 42 mark.

Was forced by one of my housemates to leave my house, effectively I did not have a house during second year exams.

On track for a high 2:1 for my degree.

    Visited the Houses of Parliament.

    Campaigned in the general election.

Starting to learn Italian to travel to italy.

Got a well paid job while at uni.

Am moving up to Carlisle come sept to start a pgce course in citizenship.

Am moving up there with my girlfriend who is doing the same course but in English.

Hence, I hope you understand my lack of commenting :)

    Hello everyone! (again)

  10. A) Congrats dude, that is awesome.

    B) Good to have you back.

Chew, Avengers, Thunderbolts, Avengers Academy, The Walking Dead, (Trades/not ongoing - The Boys, Dynamo 5)

Thank you, it's good to be back, now watch as my posts rise and fall with deadlines!

As for invincible, i would tout it's love more if it appeared in front of me more :)

Get a hold of X-force, its sublime! I had somehow forgotten Thunderbolts and AA both are examples of writers at the top of their game. Also Doug Manke (I think thats right...) is absolute class.

Whose waiting for Fear itself to hit?

To keep on topic, my favourite series at the moment

ASM - great but the writing is a tad on the immature side

Secret Warriors- nearing the end, tension is amazing

FF - Maybe I just love Hickman

JL:GL - didn't know any of the characters but I really enjoy it :)

Green Lantern - The universe building has to be seen to be believed

X-force - This latest issue was possibly one of the best of the year past.

    What is everyone elses?

  12. I suppose i should help the unfortunates in the world. Myxss may never be back up if i'm being honest, so i found a potentially better place (avoiding certain words) message me if you desire to join in on the fun.

Loving Dan Slott, Thor and Brightest Day (anyone read JL:GL? its amazing)

  13. Arrived after...like a 3 week holiday at my girlfriends place down south, sprinkled with returning to my house. but now i have said goodbye to her for 3 weeks while i travel to america, i swear its like ripping out your heart doing that.

    Hi

  14. So a big gay orgy then

Yeh, bummed about not going to the meet, but i look forward to the fact that i saved some 30 pounds by not going...and i've met all the cool people there anyways (offence intentionally)...bitter.

Played pokemon and got hilarously stuck.
