  1. Not only is it the same in a overhead kick but in loads of matches legs stick there legs up to try and control the ball, imo this was no different. Except another player was nearby which Nani didn't know about.

If this is the case then, every time a player raises their leg to control ball they should be red carded.

  2. I think this is quite an interesting discussion what Serebii has started.

Although I do love many shooters, the ones I play do tend to be quite different. Yeah, I pretty much play the new CoD's every year but the others use shooters as more of a secondary style such as fallout.

There is quite a over reliance on shooters now a days though, especially more linear ones, gone are the days of perfect dark where you could actually get lost in a level (not in all of them admittedly).

But is a easy common thing to add to a game, think how many films have guns in one way or another.

The way I am thinking right now I do not see a major problem in it, I just wish I could see more other types of games - more platformers would be nice!! RARE MAKE A THIRD BANJO platformer (nuts & bolts was awesome but doesn't count in that field!)

  3. Completely agree. I do only see the negative stuff. Im not called into the police station at stupid o clock because the suspect is lovely. And they dont tend to quote their human rights when the police have been nice to them.

Also bear in mind that the other side for me is the force that covered themselves up regarding Hillsborough.

    Are you a copper then?

Is anyone on twitter and follows Piers Morgan? I know he is a bit of a nob but to be honest his comments on guns are just common sense

Yeah, Hillsborough. Idiots, the lot of them involved in that cover up! :nono:

I just like to keep 'up to date' on these kinds of things.

I don't follow him, but I remember the 'outcry' when he initially made anti-gun comments after that school shooting.

  4. Obviously go down the complaints procedure using full investigation. Most complaints that are investigated by individual force professional standards depts are not upheld anyway.

Well I have no hope for Code G. Its not like they follow the other codes anyway. Just me speaking from experience.

I dont think I made myself clear when using example of reasonableness. I was trying to say that hitting someone over the head whilst in the house may be reasonable whereas shooting someone running away (albeit with your stuff) would likely be not.

So no guns should not be allowed in the home. Potentially more trouble then they are worth to be honest.

Sounds like you have seen a lot of negative stuff then! Well I suppose you would do, being a lawyer n all. I'm sure majority following things, just the minority make them all look bad.

I can only speak for Cheshire as a matter of fact but when anyone is booked into custody the computers are prompting the sgt to ask for Code G reasons now, if they ent got them then custody wont authorise detention and should have been dealt via other means like voluntary interviews etc.

    No worries, I mis-read your post. :)

And yeah I agree on the gun issue, certainly for this country anyway. I can't really speak for America because as it has already been stated, it's a different world over there!

  5. Try dealing with South Yorkshire Police. They do not follow what parliament has stated all the time. They do not follow PACE all the time.

Currently have 120 plus clients all with potential claims against the police for false imprisonment, assault, claims under the Human Rights Act. fact is police will do what they think they can get away with without getting sued.

You are right in respect of the reasonableness. Its all in the defence of self-defence. re burglary for example if someone is in your house may be reasonable to smack them on the back of the head with a frying pan but would it be reasonable to shoot them whilst they are running away?

Well if individual officers are not following PACE then it will need to be dealt with by way of complaints etc and if procedures are not followed then stuff will be dropped. Culture changes are always hard to swallow I think, I know the new Code G under PACE for need to arrest is extremely recent and that will take a while before everyone follows that properly with people having to re-learn.

I would say neither is reasonable as offender is leaving the scene and so your self defence is gone, unless they were then to try and affect a citizens arrest then you could possibly deem a frying pan as reasonable force to detain...

  6. The government are trying to make it easier but still the police arrest people who defend themselves and it's months before the cps stop investigations/court cases etc during which time you're treated as a criminal

At the end of the day the police only act upon what the government set out in law etc.

I believe current guidance is reasonable defence can be used to defend yourself or your property - if that is clear cut then you wont be arrested. (key word is reasonable)

If there is any element of doubt then an arrest may be nessisary for an investigation, who is to say you haven't murdered someone and staged a burglary? By not arresting someone evidence could be covered up.

I have seen a few in the media the last year where an arrest was made, investigation was undertaken but then they were realised without charging when it was deemed reasonable force was used, I seem to remember one in Manchester last year where a home owner killed someone and was released without charge. Although when ppl are released they tend not to get as big of a news story.

  7. I was going to do some stuff yesterday and today but I've not had time and I'm still coughing and spluttering a fair bit. Leaving it til tomorrow and going for it then.

Where exactly was it hurting? It's mostly wrist action, so sometimes my right wrist can ache. Aside from that, I've always been fine with it.

Tendon just under bicep. it happened to me twice that I can remember. And then I had to rest it for at least a week coz it hurt to much to do anything with. Maybe I was just swinging wrong! lol.

But I used to play loads when I was younger and didn't have a problem.

  8. Ine and I have bought 2 squash rackets/racquets and I've bought a new set of indoor trainers. Looking forward to playing.

    Cool! I love squash.

Although I am not sure if it is linked or not but last year when I was lifting heavy weights a lot and then played squash later in the week my tendon would always really hurt!! Like it didn't approve of the fast movements!

  9. No I do intermittent fasting, my diet is shocking at the moment.... dem dirty gainnnz. I'm doing some serious calorie burns in the gym to get away with it, but I do need to clean myself up a bit.

    I do 3 x 24 hour fasts: sunday 5pm - monday 5pm / tuesday 5pm - wednesday 5pm / thursday 5pm - friday 5pm. I don't count cals or macros but I would normally try to eat lots of protein.

Cool! I have watched a youtube channel called 'the hodge twins' who do intermittent fasting and they swear by it.

I don't think that is for me though, I feel really nauseous in the gym if I try and do anything high intensity without eating enough! And even if I miss breakfast I don't feel right for the day. :hmm:

I'm gonna switch to Optimum Nutrition and give them a try, I have noticed they do a 'caramel toffee fudge' flavour, might give that one a try coz it sounds quite different to the normal flavours! :p

  10. I just take one immediately after a session with water. Just one after a workout is plenty for recovery, I notice a huge difference. ON is about 120~ calories a scoop.

You only really need more if you are extreme bulking. Sensible diet with plenty of protein sources and a shake after a session (for instant absorption) is all the average person needs :)

    Thanks!

How many calories do you aim for a day then for ur weight loss? And I take it you go for an all round nutritional diet with carbs etc?

    I'm really nosy! :p

  11. What weight are you hoping to get down to?

I'm gradually feeling a bit better. I'm earmarking tomorrow as my first workout. Cmaaaan.

Probably about 14 stone for now, maybe high end 13's. I'm saying this but I don't really know what my ideal weight should be!!!

I'm more concerned with body fat than actual weight, so if I ended up weighing more but didn't have fat on show and toned I would be happy regardless of weight.

Still much better than the days when I was 21.4 stone....

  12. So I don't think I have posted in here in quite a while... I have put some weight back on since the awesome times of around june last year. Around a stone I think.

Went to see IT last sunday who has given me a new program to try and follow in the gym for fat burn and muscle toning, trying to alter my eating again to fit.

According to his machine I weigh 15 stone 11 (machines always say I weigh more compared to home ones!) with a body fat of 19.3% and Visceral fat level 5.

    Will see how I go!

  13. I was instantly excited when I read about this!

Can't wait to see this for real in HD and I only played through Wind Waker once so very much looking forward 2 playing this again.

I loved playing through OoT on 3DS again even though I had played it loads on N64!

The only negative I remember is sometimes all the sailing did feel a bit 'meh'.

  14. I have 1 friend who is like, amaze. Ha. You may know him! @Mike1988uk

Known Mike since I was at school and we've always been great friends. We can go weeks without seeing each other but the minute we get together again we spend most of the time just chatting etc.

We always text though so we're never not in contact.

 I'm feeling the love here baby.

It has to be what, almost 14 years we have known each other know? My word were getting old!!

But yes I echo what Aneres11 has said, when we catch up there never seems to be enough time to chat and get some gaming in! ha. He is still one of my closest friends and I do have another who is called Mike (not myself!) (also known since high school but a few years after Aneres11) and finally our resident @flameboy has become a great friend to me.

I never find enough time to visit everyone and the fact that I normally work shifts doesn't help! As flameboy is now in a different country our friendship has been restricted to facebook and messaging but we do plan to visit and the fact i'm invited to his wedding speaks volumes of friendship really (which started on here!!!)

I do socialise with people from work sometimes but that tended to be easier to a degree because we work the same shift pattern but now I have changed jobs it has made that a lot harder (I am actually meeting up with them for something to eat tonight funnily enough) as we will be in different shifts.

And I have other people that I speak to or play games with, namely from here, I have spoken with @Animal over xbox live several times and met up with others to chat and play games (tends to revolve around games! :p)

I don't really have any set system in place I just aim to visit my close friends mentioned regulary and others on a as and when if for a specific reason. For example, one friend from work I would go to metal concerts with, which @Aneres11 would rather kill himself before going to one of them! haha.

Oh and a final final point... relationships make it harder to see you friends! Haha. Just down to time really, not because they don't let u! :)

  15. Newcastle sign Yoan Gouffran on a 4 and a half year deal. Good news for them.

Will have to see the Hazard incident myself. But, the ball boy's job is to give the ball back to the players, to keep playing continuing. Holding onto the ball is just bullshit.

    Here you are. :)

    Another angle:
