  1. Its happened again...

I've had this a couple of times. I don't know whether its coincidence, but both have been on visits to the shop channel, both of which required the plug to be pulled on the console before they would synch again. I've also had the console lock up completely a couple of times when trying to access the disc channel, again requiring the plug to be pulled. I'm hoping that it will be sorted in the next firmware update, but I've not been too impressed with the operating system thus far. It does make me wonder if nintendo have rushed the console into production to facilitate a pre-christmas launch.
  2. Whoa, brain racking time ....... Computers: Amstrad CPC : Manic Miner Amiga : Turrican II PC : Age of Empires II - The Age of Kings Nintendo : SNES : Super Mario Kart N64 : Banjo Kazooie GBA : Scrabble Wii : Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz (only one I've played so far) Sony : Playstation : Tomb Raider (Original) PS2 : God of War Microsoft: XBOX : Super Monkey Ball Deluxe XBOX 360 : Kameo - Elements of Power
  3. Do Graphics Matter?

To a certain extent. I think that nice pretty graphics add to the experience rather than define it though.
  4. General Wii Questions

Is anyone else out there having problems with the main software ? Since I got mine, I've had to pull the plug on the thing 3 times, twice because the machine locked up on trying to access the disc channel, and once because it lost all of the controllers ans I couldn't re-synch them.
  5. First Wii Impressions

On the whole I've been pretty chuffed with it, although there are a few niggles that Nintendo need to get sorted out and fast. Twice I've had to pull the power cable because the machine has crashed on launching WiiPlay. Also the news channel tells me I need an update to use it, but when it connects it tells me that I have the latest software and there are no updates ??? Of the games I've got hold of so far, It's quite a fun machine, I'm just hoping that the Wiimote doesn't turn out to be another gimmick like the EyeToy was.
  6. Rayman Raving Rabbids Thread

I think that Nintendo ships by default with 50Hz because all TVs will display 50Hz, whereas if if came by default with 60Hz and you only had an old TV then you wouldn't be able see anything in order to change it.
  7. Tomb Raider: Legend

I'd go for the 360 version if I were you. It's much prettier and you can pick it up second hand now for under £20 and also therefore quite a bit cheaper.
