  1. Hey guys I'm back!

Am I the only one that thought the thread title was "Hey guys, I'm black!"?
  2. When do you put your Christmas tree up?

I instantly thought "cute dog". I'm praying people don't see me in the street and think the same. Then again, it's better than "I can't decide if that's a 14 year old boy, or a slightly mannish lesbian". Sadly I've gotten both before. My life is a mess.
  3. good stuff thread.

Had an amazing night out. Something I did not expect considering I've felt so ill the past few days. I now refuse to sleep, on the basis that I know I will wake up feeling more awful than ever.
  4. Amazing. Listen to the 'Year With Out Rain' album. I am unashamedly in love with some of it. It's so teen pop. I enjoy her singles mostly, however I eagerly await how she sounds in a few years. Why do Americans do teen pop so much better than us? Pixie Lott sounds so forced, yet this just sounds utterly age appropriate. ------- THE Poptart of the moment. Unlike 'Lovegame' or 'Revolver', it comes across so genuine. She's a whore, and it works.
  5. Board Games!

Trivial Pursuit and a bottle of Merlot makes my life.
  6. Madonna. I can't stop listening, mostly due to the leak of her new single. American Life, Ray of Light and Confessions are all fantastic. I want love Music, but there's just something about it that's stopping me. Her new single is....there are no words. Audio Why a woman that's been releasing brilliant music bar a couple of blips (Hard Candy apart from Devil Wouldn't Recognise and She's Not Me) would release something that sounds like a cross between Avril Lavigne and Hey Mickey is beyond me.
  7. Paranormal Activity 3

I loved this. I was terrified by the entirety of the last half an hour and also the bloody Mary scene. It's not left me as scared as the previous two however, though I'm putting that down to it simply being because of the previous two. I have got one bone to pick though. The camera that moved was awful. The noise it made, how slow it moved and just the general idea of it.
  8. I'm absolutely in love with this, mostly because of the video. It gives the song a tinge of almost pensive reflection that just elevates it from being just another generic dance-pop song, in my mind anyway. Yes it's rather Skins like, yes it's not exactly original, but it just adds so much. Oh, and then just because it's Britney: Her face just before coming out with the "Hooker" line is hilarious. Also, the middle 8 is everything.
  9. Rise of the Planet of the Apes

I genuinely can't understand the hate from the trailer. I thought it was one of the most captivating trailers in a long time, for a blockbuster type affair. Saw it today. Brilliant. It's essentially a really solid character drama, with the last half an hour delivering what was essentially promised in the trailer. It looked stunning, and I found myself almost having to hold back tears at numerous moments. Anything with animals just slays me. By far the best of the summer 'blockbuster' films, and one that will blatantly end up being the most underrated.
  10. bad stuff thread.

It's not even supposed to be particularly scary. But Case 39. Anything with a child in terrifies me.
  11. bad stuff thread.

I'm sat here watching a film with a creepy child in. I'm absolutely terrified. Why did I ever think watching a horror film on my own was a good idea. I never learn. I need a hug.
  12. England Riots

I'm praying you're being sarcastic. If you genuinely believe the only people rioting are immigrants then you're completely deluded.
  13. Cher Lloyd

It's correct, or at least it's correct on the basis of saying We R Who We R was number one in 2011. I'm completely positive, because it took far too long to be released here. I think it was the end of January when it hit the top spot. It's been a bad year purely because of the recent glut of "I'm in a club and drunk" songs that are so popular at the moment. My favourite number one of the year has to be 'Don't Hold Your Breath'. It's just so understated and yet manages to be a brilliant little pop gem.
  14. Audio I'm so in love with her. She's so ridiculously British. Beat of My Drum was such a pleasure, and this just cements my love for her music. The full version is out there, but YouTube keeps deleting it. I cannot stand David Guetta, and yet somehow this manages to sound stunning.
  15. Amy Winehouse Found Dead

You have no idea of the person she was, or how she dealt with the issues that lead to the abuse. Oh, and please don't end a setence with lines such as "trust me" or "end of". It's incredibly aggrivating. My sister and I had a pretty decent life growing up all things aside, and yet she ended up turning to drugs, and her life is basically going down the drain as every week passes, and has been for the past 6 years because she refuses to acknowledge her problems or take responsibility for her life. She refuses to accept any help, and consequently, I've not seen or heard from her in about 2 and a half years. We had the same up-bringing, but I would never go down that path. Maybe that's because I've seen it happen to someone, or maybe it's simply down to personaility differences. My point is, you don't know so can't simple decide she had it easy and pass it off as her own fault.
  16. Amy Winehouse Found Dead

I had no idea there were so many utterly heartless people on here. Anyone saying it was deserved, she did it to herself and all that is literally pathetic. It seems pointless saying much though, considering Daft put it down in words perfectly. None of you judging her have a clue why she turned to drugs, of the help she may or may not have recieved, or the reasons leading to her constant substance abuse. Genuinely think I just lost a little bit of faith in people after reading some of the things in this thread.
  17. bad stuff thread.

I'm so frustrated. One of those moods where literally everything makes you want to rip the wall paper off the walls. I don't even know why either. I was in a good mood, and then the boyfriend gets back and tells me he wants to use the television now so I need to get off the Xbox. From then on, I've been in the worst mood, and he makes it worse by telling me so followed by saying "You're boring today". I stormed back to mine (which happens to be a metre away next door) and in a fit of anger hit my hand so hard on the arm of my sofa, that it literally brings tears to my eyes to move my little finger. I need a stress ball. Or just someone annoying to shake for five minutes.
  18. Forum User Photos

Saw Ke$ha on my birthday on monday night, and then went out in Manchester afterwards. So much fun. However, the crowd at Ke$ha made us all want to die. We felt so old. All 14 year olds need shooting. The boyfriend and my 3 favourite women. We all attempted to look trashy/covered in Glitter for Ke$ha. However, apart from the blue around Chris' eye, none of it's shown up in the picture. I just feel this needs to be seen by as many people as possible. This is what a couple of bottles of Gallo does to straight women.
  19. Prisoner of Azkaban is also my favourite of the bunch, even after seeing part two this morning. I think it's a culmination of the story, seeing the characters finally begin to mature with the film, and the, at least I feel, brilliant direction. I also loved how it dealt with the more humorous moments of the story. I think the whole back in time bit just clicked with me perfectly, and worked so well on screen. Anyway, I enjoyed the final film. Probably going to go back to watch them all again at some point. I'm going to miss Hermione. She's just one of the most perfect characters, and so enjoyable to watch.
  20. The Music Thread

So glad this thread is back. I'm constantly listening to 3 songs over the past couple of days, these being: ...and then a Ke$ha song, purely because I saw her like on the 11th of this month. She has a suprisingly strong belting voice, I have no idea why she doesn't take advantage of it. She genuinely was fantastic. I fell in love with her from the moment she called a fan on stage, asked his age, and screamed "HE'S LEGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!".
  21. J to Tha Lo

I have no idea why she didn't sing it herself, but it was indeed written by Milian. I don't think any reason was given as to why though. Oh, Christina. Your faves could never.
  22. good stuff thread.

Had a really lovely couple of days. Amazing weather helped. Also just found out I'll be seeing Britney in November in Sheffield. Words can't. Then I'm moving on Friday, before being taken to the Wireless Festival to see Pulp on Sunday. Life is good this week.
  23. J to Tha Lo

I do love some classic J-Lo. However much I love Play, it bugs me that she mimes the chorus in the video even though it's Christina Milian singing the entirety of it. Ain't It Funny or Love Don't Cost A Thing are my favourites. I refuse to link to the video of the latter because of the hairstyle featured on it. Braids, much like crimping, need to be destroyed. Especially on a grown woman. Oh, and I adore 'Papi' from the new album. Audio
  24. It's Britney, Bitch.

I was listening to this earlier: and it hit me just how many genuinely great pop songs this woman has had. However little talent people seem to credit here with, she's undeniably been a musical force to reckon with over the past decade. I can't help but feel she has 'Girls Aloud' syndrome, in the sense that she comes out with some genuinely great pop music, but no one ever admits to actually appreciating some of it purely because it's at its core, Pop. Anyway. I rest my case. Oh, and Blackout is massively overlooked. "Heaven On Earth" is orgasmic on a decent pair of headphones. And "In The Zone" and an album is probably my favourite of the bunch.
