  1. Doesn't seem like we're going to have much control in this game. I do like the happy music vibe I'm getting here though, they should totally make the story "Sonic decided to have a little tour around the world. It was fun." I'd buy it.

  2. So right you are saying they havn't innovated because they are so popular and they have been able to set up so many stores around the country due to this.

Innovation is never something new, thats invention. Innovation is pushing the concept forward. Think about music, both CD walkmans and MP3 players allow for music to be listened to on the go however MP3 player's are deemed more innovative due to the fact that they can carry your whole music library opposed to just having a single album.

It's funny how a conversation about hoovers can lead to this. Swivel Sweeper all the way.

  3. Try to eat before your weekly shop at your local supermarket. This way, you'll avoid basing your spend on your current cravings, and focus better on what's needed to last you through the week.

If you eat a cereal such as bran flakes or wheatabix and add sugar to it, make sure it is added after the milk. The application is more effective in this instance, with more sugar sticking to the cereal, and less being dispersed into the milk. You'll also probably need less sugar.

    ...more to follow.

You add sugar to Bran Flakes? Corn Flakes I can imagine, but Bran is already so damn good.

About the shampoo as shaving cream one, does it work the other way around? I find I'm far more likely to run out of shampoo unexpectedly than I am shaving cream.

  4. IMO, that list was pretty terrible.

How can Perfect Dark not be on the list?

Still. His opinion is pretty much voided by him mentioning that teabagging is a good thing (I'm pretty sure if other games had as many morons as Halo playing it then teabagging would have started a lot sooner).

Also, sticky grenades pale in comparison to sticky remote mines.

Edit: BioShock should have been higher up.

Edit: Also, didn't Doom 3 get loads of rather poor reviews?

Doom 3 was a pretty terrible game as far as I'm concerned. I didn't play Doom 2, so the series could have changed then, but it just was as fast and fun as the original was. Could also be that it was basically the same as all the other Xbox FPS'.

  5. Sorry about the spelling.

But if you actually watch some of his interviews (not all of them). He will use things like this, not at all related to games, and try and twist them around to make it sound like games are evil. If this guy did actually play games he will use it in an interview at some point.

Also about the counter strike thing, just because you fire a weapon doesn't mean its going to train you to shoot up your school. Yes they do have a few things in common, but not as many as Mr. Thompson would have you believe.

I suggest not Youtubing his interviews. It's worked for me all my life.

  6. Screw playing for the ending scene, I think the real reason to play through Snake Eater is to see The End's skit in the Secret Theatre. That was hilarious. And the CIA chiefs thing. That was equally hilarious.

Oh, and if they do a horrible cheesy James Bond rip off opening again I'll cry. I actually cringed all the way through it. They did implement the song nicely throughout the game though.

  7. What is it with you and being closed minded. Please explain why its a PC concept and always will be.

I think it will be interesting to see how MMOs are changed for consoles. Sure perhaps the exact way MMOs work will be different between PCs and Consoles, but the concept will be the same, the fun will all be there, the annoying 12 year olds will unfortunately always be there. But game development has always had alot of problem solving in it. Saying that the industry cannot solve a problem like this I'm sure they would find insulting.

No offense, but I'd prefer to keep the kind of people you find on MMO's confined to one platform. And pretty much everyone who has a console has a PC anyway, so there's not really much of an audience for it sine anyone who needs an MMO can just get one of the many already available for them.

Animal Crossing's charms don't really come from online as far as I'm concerned. It's a bonus, but it's definately not something that should become the core of the franchise.

  8.

Oooh, did I hit a nerve?

Of course, your mistake would be believing everything an "internet nerd" (which by the way is clearly the pot calling the kettle black) writes about his life on a forum, as well as being anal and pathetic enough to recall such a parody, which strikes me as being indicative of your own social ineptitude. Shit, why the fuck else would you selflessly attach yourself to a videogame manufacturer? Being a whiny, overly defensive and petty (hey, we all got our double standards) character yourself, without anything of value to add to the discussion at hand, or any discussion, so far as I, or anyone else can tell, it'd be best if you kept your idle musings to the relevant.

I only read and post on forums once in a blue moon, and when I do it's far from in-depth, so I'll just leave it at this. I don't give a damn about companies' or their well-being, 'nor do I care what you or anyone else here thinks of me.

However, I do think you're the worst kind of ****, the kind of **** with the brainpower to be a **** with credibility, and who uses it to turn things back around on people.

So, knowing how this will end I'll not continue flinging shit, I don't read the forums enough to know when you're making shit up and when you're not. All I know is that everytime I see red letters it's followed by putting people down and whining, and that you're not a likable chap.

  9.

Tie him up and burn him.

A man with the audacity to praise the online component in a Nintendo game, a Phantasy Star Online avatar, and yet one without any appreciation of the greatest RPG to come out of Japan, is clearly someone who shouldn't be allowed near the gene pool.

Neither should someone who weighs a persons value on taste in games, and dares to judge people, constantly may I add, despite from my recollections being some kind of manic depressive who wasted a year of his life when he had the potential to do something with it?

Sort your life out, you typical up-your-own-ass internet nerd, instead of venting your petty frustrations on a fan forum of a company you seem to loath so much. Then you might have the right to say who should or should not be in the gene pool.

  10. Bard, everything you said in the post pretty much sums up the situation perfectly.

Nintendo shouldn't be simplifying games like Mario (it was still amazing though), Smash Bros (it's a party game now) and Mario Kart (*shudders*) to sell to the new wave of gamers. They should stick to making the best of their old franchises and aim them at the hardcore whilst using Wii Fit and sports to appeal to the new lot. It's this problem which is why i'm glad there is no F-zero on Wii.

So basically, don't fuck over you're old IPs, give the casual new IP's and be honest to your old games.

If anything I'd say that Mario Kart is better than it's ever been. Online is fun, a huge improvement on the DS game, and they actually dared to mix it up a bit with tricks and bikes, which as far as I'm concerned paid off.

    Chrono Trigger sucks.

  11. They had "on-spec in-game ready" material though:

    ffccwii5lo.jpg

Lots of polygons and even crap ground textures in there; strange, considering with rendering software you could just enable NURBS (of course, even if this wasn't, probably the part with the airships would be pre-rendered). But it wouldn't be that normal to do a pre-rendered video like this (not with assets like that); specially considering it's Square-Enix we're talking about; if... this was all FMV it would be stuck in Chrono Cross era. (last Square game I've seen with Polygons showing up in the FMV's)

I bet you twenty quid that if you asked Squeenix they'd tell you it wasn't in game.

  12. Pro Evo single handedly restored my faith in Konami's seabassio soccer squad. And so I now look forward to their wii output (apart from DDR.)

Elebits!!! (Chuckle) is awesome. Self-created levels were amazing. Utterly amazing. Who would have thought wanging items could be so much fun?

Anyone who doesn't like DDR is fat. True story.

  13. Lol, C.A.R.D? I dunno about it, haven't played it... but correct me if I'm wrong but surely a GC game hasn't been uploaded to the shop channel? :heh: What I mean is that I'm sure I've read that out of these old Phantasy Star games, there is one thats a bit of a low point... so is it III?

I never played the original Phantasy Star's, so I guess 3 could just be an unlucky number for Sega. I just assumed you heard about PSO III being underwhelming and got them mixed up.

I wouldn't be the best person to tell you anyway, I love pretty much anything Sega make. :p
