  1. Thanks for the help/support guys!

I've tried asking at the taxi places and one said to call them back about 6pm after the end of the day shifts. Here's hoping.

The phone was bought off a mate of mine a few years back so I'm missing some of the original stuff for it. This also means that it's not insured. Bugger. If worst comes to the worst I'll just get a new phone on contract. I was on pay as you go, but it was costing me loads anyway.

  2. Well, I've got back from a great night out to come home to a tragic end. I seem to have lost my phone. I tried ringing my number off the house phone earlier, to no avail. However, it seems to be ringing now... which seems kinda dodgy to me.

I caught a taxi home with a friend and that's the only place I can think where it could deffinatley be. However, my friend called the taxi and I didn't take note of the company. I can't call her either because her number is on my mobile and I can't remember her number. Shit. I've tried one or two companies that I think might have been the right one, but they've said they had no calls from where my friend and I caught it from.

I also got my mp3 player out to listen to some music as I was walking down the road, so it might have fell out then. Though I made a very careful check around the area and saw nothing.

I really have no idea what to do now.... help? :weep:

EDIT: I managed to find the Vodafone number, and my sim is now barred. Now all I gotta do is to try and find the actual phone... great.... ¬¬ Urgh, screw this - I really need to go to bed. I can't concentrate like this....

  3. Yeah sounds promising. Good luck with that. I'm kinda suprised razorlight, bloc party. kasabian and the strokes aren't on the bill.

I know that Kasabian and Bloc Party are busy working on thier next albums, which is why they won't be playing Reading/Leeds. I'm kinda suprised The Strokes and Razorlight aren't on the bill though. Strokes we're strongly rumored too...

RagDoll was your ticket cheaper than £143?

The tickets on that presale were sold at the same price as the tickets were for the previous festival. So yeah, they were cheaper. I really wish I'd got one then now... :( *Prays that they extend the capacity and that he gets a ticket*

  4. Woah £220. a bit pricy but I bet some tickets will go fr more than that especially when more of the bill is announced.

The auctioneer doesn't seem that bad but if you can't pay by cheque you'll have to get in touch with him.

I have, just waiting for a reply...

EDIT: I just got through to the meanfiddler ticketline. Whilst I had no luck in getting any weekend tickets (natch) I found out that they are trying to cancel tickets being sold on ebay. This is gonna be interesting.... though it looks less likely thay I'll be able to go. :(

  5. Went Leeds last year and loved it, Tried to get a weekend ticket for either Leeds again or Reading this year but the site was fucked and i had no luck on the phone line...I should have queued up outside the Astoria after work but didnt think gahh!

When the site finally came back Leeds and Reading Weekend tickets were sold out :(

I may get day tickets but i dunno, ive seen most of the bands playing but damn it would have been good, nice lineup this year despite some of you lots opinions i think there are plenty of good bands worth going to see and more to be added for the NME/Radio 1 tent no doubt.

The reason they have sold out so quick is cos there is no Glastonbury this year!!!

Last year Reading tickets took about a month to sell out and Leeds weekend tickets you could still pick up about 2 months after they were released! Damn Glastonbury people + Ebay MOFO's taking my ticket! grrr. Ah well.

    I feel your pain... :(

  6. There will be at least 1 more batch released if this year is like previous years.

Kool, thanks for clearing that up. I've deffo got to get tickets on the next batch!

I know the lineup isn't as great as previous years, but it still looks pretty damn' good to me. I've never been to Reading before, that's one of the main reasons why I'm so desperate to go (plus Muse are amazing!)

  7. well if its £400 then i will defo be gettin one but any higher then im not paying it

You'd pay 400 quid for a games machine!? Pffft, I wouldn't even consider getting one at that price!!

Methinks I'll so what I did in this last generation and the the PS3 last, when it's at a decent price. Revo is next for me!

  8. My happiness died after reading about the error... :(

Still at least we get the DVD movies, which is better than no Futurama *Regains some happiness.* As for Simpsons - that's become too stale now. Right up to the point where I can't even watch the old episodes any more. Futurama is way better and Family Guy is ace too! (Although I'm only just getting into the latter.)

  9. Brilliant idea for a thread!

I'm suprised that no one's posted The Hindenburg Airship Disaster yet. Well here it is....

    Pretty grim tbh. :/

So on a lighter note - here's some music related events:

    P1010396.sized.jpg

Green Day play Milton Keynes bowl over 1 weekend playing to 130,000 people in total (I was there on the Saturday! :D)

    Live Aid.... 'nuff said.

and the followup to that - Live8 at Hyde Park.

  10. Awesome song! I used to hate them until I saw them Live at Download last year. The songs have become a bit tiresome cuz Ive heard them so many times. 1st band that happened with. Still lookin forward to seein' 'em at this years Download. KoRn and Metallica after them!

I first heard them when 'Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr' played on Kerrang. I thought it was rubbish. Then a few weeks later I went round a friend's house and my mates put the album on. After listening to it as a whole I decided it was awesome. I got it a few weeks after that.

I wish I could have gone to Download last year - sounded bloody amazing! Well, I'm deffo honna go this year. Honna get my ticket next month probably, after I get my Reading ticket. Van't wait!! :D
