    That's exactly what I'd love to see! I hate all this "Resi Evil in a different universe" crap. ¬¬ As I said, the novels (with some adaptions) would make excellent scripts for the movie conversions.

     

    And make money? You must be joking...

     

    I think a movie/set of movies closer to the Resi storylines (with the proper characters) would be a big success. Look at Silent Hill for example. Okay, so they did use different characters in that movie, but it stuck really close to the games in terms of style and plot. Heck, they even used the soundtracks from the games! I think it's quite a damn good film, and works really well by being faithful to the series.

    That PC is fine, it'll be damn good at playing the latest games for the next few months

     

    That reminds me that I'm hating this "let's release a gfx card every month so that people always have obsolete shit" philosophy.

     

    Ditto on that, though I find it the same with most comp hardware. I have a AMD Athlon 3200+, a GeForce 6800, 1GB (PC3200) RAM in my comp for about 7-8 months and it's already starting to struggle with a few games. I don't really have the cash to upgrade either. ¬¬

    Oh man, i know a lot of you hate the other 2 RESI films but i liked them but as for this....damn what a crock of crap.

     

    I do admit, I can be an elitest with this stuff. I really don't like the RE films because, imo, they don't really follow the games enough. Sure, they did follow RE3 in the second film, but they screwed it up by having Alice in there. And the outcome with Nemesis, what was with that!?!

     

    I've been reading the RE books by S.D Perry, and think they are brilliant adaptions. I really think that the films should have been more direct adaptions of the games and that the books would have made for excellent reference material. Infact, if the books are adapted enough they could easily make a great scripts.

     

    Better than all this tripe that Paul W.S Anderson is coming up with, and that's another thing they need - better directors/producers.

    Musical Ignorance - I used to be one of theose people who would not stray into "labeled" genres. How many times do i have to tell people, Slipknot are not a chaotic calamity of sounds, they are actually a very accomplished band who can do as much stuff with their instruments as Jimi Hendrix did with his. They are great performers, the masks and makeup is just a show for the fans really its great fun, just because they look like gimps doesnt mean they sound like gimps. Its also to be noted that Slipknots debut album was recently voted in the 200 top albums of all time by a collective list of the finest musical critics in the UK.

     

    *Applauds.* I really couldn't have said it better myself. I hate it when people go around slagging off bands just because they're (apparentley) a different genre. It's really amazingly stupid how people also degrade bands/artists by thier looks. I remember when Lordi won Eurovision. I was texting my friend saying how great it was for a joke (as she wasn't too keen.) One of her replies was along the lines of "look at how they look, do you really call that justice?" All I replied with was "Yes. Yes I do." So Lordi isn't the best example to some people, but it's still anoying

     

    Keeping within this kinda topic - I also find it silly when people label themselves/are labeled to a genre in everyday society. I don't really hate it, but I don't see the point. For example, just because someone likes emo music they're instantly an emo? Wtf!? What if they like other genres? I just think it's pointless to stick to a "faction" and slag off/abuse anyone else who isn't the same. At the end of the day music is music.

    Anyone with a Wavebird should understand that AA batteries r all you'll need. This thing isn't going to be like a mobile phone and require charging ever night. It's going to use AAs and last for weeks, so what's thew point of it being rechargable when you'll only need to recharge it once a month?

     

    Indeed. I love my Wavebird, it's great to just use AA's and not having to worry about recharging them every few hours*. (*Okay, a slight exadgeration maybe? :P)

    And yes...I have done the 3dvd case thing but still when you put them down and your mind wanders you still think the console is "normally" sized. This pic shows how tiny the wii is!

     

    Looks about right to me. I'm truly amazed by how small this console really is, and I thought the Gamecube was small! How the heck can they cram all the extra power into something smaller though? O_o

    “Reality” TV: Don’t let the name fool you, “reality” TV, has absolutely nothing remotely to do with reality. It is not real. It is, in fact, un-real, but that’s really not fair because seeing as it actually exists, it defies both these labels, so you can feel free to ignore the past sentence. Honest to god though, “Reality” TV ruins people, and I mean the people involved just as much as the viewers, it’s just a testimony to people’s boring, unsatisfying lives that they need to go and pry upon others’. Television and entertainment is not supposed to be used as a means for shameless voyeurism! What happened to the family sitcom? What happened to good natured fun like Happy Days, The A Team, Sanford and son and M.A.S.H.? Why is real TV dying out to be replaced by these pointless hunts for the next worthless celebrity? It is sadistic, and harmful, Christ, will people go to any lengths? You see people on TV everyday, sacrificing their dignity for money and whatever half-assed, undeserved fame they might reap from it.

     

    The Celebrities of yesteryear were celebrities because they were important. The celebrities of today are important because they are celebrities.

     

    Seconded. There's too much of this crap on TV. Stuff like Big Brother is as annoying as hell. These kind of shows lack any depth imo and many decent and great shows are getting cancelled because of this.

     

    Modern Rap: My god is there any real way to sound more like a pretentious jackass than Snoop Dog or 50 fucking cent? So he got shot 9 times, fucking hell, he really picks the most odd things to boast about, how’s about I add a tenth for good luck eh? Nobody cares how “gangsta” you are or claim to be, turns out that you’re just illiterate dumbasses who, despite being 30 years of age, are still completely unable to correctly pronounce basic English words.

     

    Also way to go, yes, I’m talking to you, you rampant infidels, what’s the deal with parking your car, winding down the windows and cranking up the stereo in your “ghetto mobile” real loud just so that everyone in the vicinity with an IQ over 75 doesn’t think you’re cool, and in fact, thinks you’re an absolute insult to this already embarrassing breed of mammals we call “humans.”

     

    Again, seconded. There's seriously not point to this crap. I pefer music that is catchy, has depth and is interesting. I dont wanna hear some guy singing about how though is is.

     

    Chavs: I don’t have the energy to go into this one because if I remind myself of all the reasons I might just go out hunting with a fishing knife, but let’s just say they should be the chief recipients of the Darwin awards.

     

    This is deffo seconded by me. I think some of you have already seen my thread on what happened to me a week ago, so 'nuff said.

    McDonalds, KFC, and every fast food corporation: Primarily it’s the fact that we are turning into a nation of fat, ugly good for nothing confoundits that have nothing better to accomplish in life than flaunt our material possessions and wonder if those oh-so-sexy hot pants actually are available in XXXXL. Another thing is the animal cruelty that occurs, are people forgetting that animals can in fact feel? That they’re capable of experiencing emotions such as fear or pain?

     

    Unfortunately, I have the displeasure of working at a McDonalds. I hate it there. I hate having to run around a kitchen all day with people shouting at me. I find that most people who don't work at fast-food places think it's all "just flipping burgers all day." Let me tell you now - It 'aint! There are a few great friends I've made there though, so that's all good.

     

    I also hate these half-arsed videogame to movie adaptions. I admit, I can be an elitest when it comes to these things, but does it hurt to make a good script and stick close to the game? Hopefully Silent Hill will get directors/producers thinking more carefully (even this film was't accurate, but I don't want to nit-pick atm. That said, it really pisses of a few friends of mine.)

     

    Oh, and arrogant and opinionated people can be annoying. I just find it so shallow that they can't see your point. Mind you, I am a hypocrite by saying this (as in being opinionated at least, though I rarely mean to be 100% serious these days) - we all have our moments.

    Seriously though, I read about this film earlier... and it sounds like it sucks!! I mean, Ali Larter looks nothing like Claire Redfield ffs! Mind you, the last two Resi films have been dire, so this really doesn't come as much of a suprise. I can only hope that it's slightly better the previous films (and the chances of that look slim.)

     

    On the plus side though, Milla Jovovich does look kinda hot there...

    Went down to the today and gave my statement, they're gonna try and chase this up. I also told them about my witness and they said that they'll see him, and get a statement from him too. Those chavs are goin down.

     

    I ws thinking of carring some kind of weapon as defence too from now on, though I don't want to get arrested/charged for being armed.

    Thanks for the response guys. Sorry to hearabout chav attacks round your areas/to your mates/etc though. :( This is deffinately getting out of control, Chavs really do need to be stopped!

     

    I would carry some self-defence with me, but as dabooker said, I'd prolly get the book thrown at me for assualting them back. Damned if you do, damned if you don't, eh? :hmm:

     

    As I said earlier, I was on someone elses drive - and the owner of the house said that he saw it all from his bedroom window. He couldn't come out though as he had knee probs and was ready for bed at that point. The chavs even tried to threaten him earlier that same day! I mean, WTF!? He saw me later on and said that there's gonna be some community action that's gonna take place. Things seem to be looking up atm...

    Which is exactly why at night you shouldn't really be out on your own. Still, they did break your glasses, and thats really the worst they could have done. I would have gone to town on their asses, but I think the most sensible thing to have done would be to walk into a shop or just peg it.

     

    Indeed, though I was heading back from work so really had no one to come back with. Still, I'll take a lot more care next time. Ty.

     

    Man they are just scum. I hope you werent hurt? Go to the police as aoon as you can, cos the longer you wait the less the police will be inclined to do about it.

     

    I'll be calling the police first thing tomorrow. I'm still kind of getting over the shock, I've never had anything like this before (even though it's not as bad as it could have been.)

    Okay, so last night I was walking back from work and I went past a pub at the top of my road. There was a clot of Chavs sitting at one of the tables outside the pub. (A clot is what one of my mates came up with. We use it to refer to a group of Chavs.) Being as I'm ginger, they started to come out with random insults, which is immature enough. So I totally blanked them.

     

    However, as I rounded the corner to my street I heard them talking and then heard footsteps. I looked round to see them following me. I hurried my pace, but before I knew it they were running to me and then one kicked me in the back of the leg. They had me surrounded. I responded with something like "What the hell? I don't want trouble." At this point I was backing onto someone else's drive. His response was "yeah!?" and then he punched me right in the face, knocking my glasses off. He grabbed them.

     

    He toally changed and was like "Oh, sorry mate come here, I'll give you these back." Of course, I wasn't falling for that, so said no. Reasoning wasn't working and he threw them to the floor before stamping on them and completely smashing the frames. As they walked off he threatened me.

     

    So now I'm kinda freaked and I have to fork out 60-70 quid for new glasses. I couldn't retaliate as they all would have been attacking me, 1v5 isn't good.

     

    A few of the morons recorded it on thier phones. I'll call the police tomorrow and tell them, and if/when the chavs are caught they'll hopefully still have the evidence on thier phones. They've apparentley been causing trouble round our area recentley as well.

     

    In some respects I consider myself lucky. I've had mates who have suffered abuse far worse from clots of chavs. Though still, no one should have to put up with this shit. I just can't believe how sad and moronic some bastards can be. Why can't everyone else who isn't chav join forces to eliminate chavs rather than being in emo, goth groups, etc?

     

    Sorry for randomly posting this and the length of the post, but I really needed to get this off my chest.
