  1. I'd love to see an ED trilogy. Though it's natch that it won't see the light of day anytime soon, and obvious that we'll never see it on a Nintendo console.

More sanity effects and multiple story paths would be a great idea if they do continue the series, the original got too tiresome after a run through. Having to replay exactly the same game three times just for the true ending took the piss.

I dunno how they'd carry on the story, mind....

...After all, there was only Mantorok left in the true ending, all the other Ancients killed each other off. The end of Edwards dialouge ("Now it will languish forever, festering in its tomb... plotting...") does give a strong hint, but I still dunno how they'd continue with only one of the Ancients.

Maybe they'll choose to remake ED? It would make some sense too. After all, Too Human is going to take years, so I doubt we'll see ED in this next gen...

  2. Whilst it is good that EA are showing support for the Wii , their track record of just rehashing titles leaves me rather dubious.

Pretty much all of those franchises have become very lacklustre in recent years and have not really warranted a purchase , and I am not sure whether a new control scheme will be enough to bring these titles back to life , especially when the remaining game mechanics are likely to remain uninspiring.

I am not knocking EA for bringing these titles , all 3rd party mass market support is appreciated , but I wont be rushing to the shops for these unless EA can offer something better than just a revised control method.

    Agreed.

I won't knock EA either, though after thier track record I think I'll reserve jugement before trying thier titles. That said however, I'm glad to see that developers are taking the Wii so seriously in this gen. The increase in 3rd party support is deffo going to tip the odds in Nintendo's favour.

  3. Hey, ty for reminding me about this game. A friend of mine had it, was bloody brilliant. They lost it though, so haven't played it for ages. When I get the cash I'll deffo pick this up! :D

Soon to have a PSP incarnation too I believe.

Hmmmm, I kinda don't see it being as good. It'll be a lot harder to play like that and probably a lot more frustrating...

  4. Interesting, can't wait to see what this might be!

I really hope it's not an RE4 remake, it's just too soon to be remaking that game. I'd love to see a remake of RE2 though. It's easily the best Resi game imo, and seeing it with updated graphics, gameplay, etc would be brilliant. They remade RE1 for the Gamecube, so I don't see why they can't reamke RE2 for the Wii.

  5. I saw this earlier too. Bloody brilliant film - lots of laughs, great action, great gci, great acting from Depp (as always) and Keira Knightley was damn' hot.

The ending was quite a shocker though. I mean, I never expected THAT to happen, and then that cliff-hanger at the very very end. Roll on PotC3!! ^^

  6. Youuuuuuuuuuuk fu cking noob! get mgfuckingmetalliva albums or will shoow you in the fcce aeoth a fucking gnh!!!!!!

    MEtallikca- Juntive gor all.

    hier kommt die sonne"!

Eeeer, riiiiiight... am I supposed to be able to understand that? :heh: Learn to type English noob. And for your info, I do like Metallica.

Unless that post was all a big joke of course...

  7. Oooh, tough one....

I'd have to say... Mutter - Rammstein. The tracks have that dark epic heavy feel that makes it truly amazing for me.

One of the Muse albums(not including hullabaloo) but its too hard to choose.

I gotta admit, Muse's Origin of Symmetry came a close second here. Black Holes & Revelations is brilliant, but not a patch on thier other works. SOAD rank high for me too.

  8. Ty for the options folks. There's a lot of cables around, though appears to be nowhere to move them. Though my comp does seem a lot cooler, there's a cool breeze coming through my windows, which is prolly helping.

If you'r talking about the 64 bit version, i have the same as you and it never gets past the 50º.

    Nope, it's just a standard 3200.

  9. I got it yesterday (ordered off play.com,) so I've finally heard it properly in full. I think it's amazing. Not thier best, but still deffo album of the year in my opinion.

Though I do know a lot of people (sme of who are Muse fans) that hate this album. Well, you can't please everyone I guess. :/

  10. Well, I downloaded the Prey demo. Whilst I do like it, I do think the PC version is the better one. I did notice a bit of lag and slowdown in places on the 360 version. Even my PC can run the game pretty damn' well on medium (and it still looks quite good.)

cannot beleive theyre at the top, i'm sure they dont even exist anymore? i mean in singing songs.

Indeed, it does suck methinks some people are either taking the piss or are just very sad. I think they did stop making music ages ago too. :hmm:

  11. Errrrm, oh dear... that looks kinda crap. :hmm:

That looks and seems like it plays like absolute crap.

Some games should stay 2D. Sonic, Street Fighter and definatly Metal Slug.

I gotta say it, I like 3D Sonic. Okay, so Heroes sucked, Shadow was awkward and Riders was crap. However, SA1 and 2 were superb, and Sonic 2006 looks set to go back to that style. Well, at the end of the day each to thier own I guess. :heh: [/offtopic]

  12. I found the first two films to be quite ok and this could turn out to be a a fun action movie as well. I don't really know the RE story so I don't care if it ties in.

I can already imagine the plot: shoot and run over Zombies for 2 hours and find the antidote in some underground lab in the last 5 minutes. :D

But we all must be thankful that Uwe Boll isn't directing:

    uwe_boll.jpg

    Alone in the Dark anyone?

On another note I think we should see Ada Wong with a real actress on the big screen

LOL, there's a lot more to the Resi Evil plot than that! I suggest you play the games first, thier superb. Then you might see why the films are hated by many people (inc. me.) You have a point though, Uwe Boll could have been taken on and messed it up even more. I don't even want to imagine what the plot would have been like if he was to do it *shudder.*

I agree that Ada needs to be in the movies, as long as the actress looks enough like her and does a good job of portraying Ada.

  13. My PC likes to shut itself down at certain times. It doesn't happen too often, and only has happened about 4-5 times in the past few weeks. Still worries me though. It's just happened to me again, so after a few mins I unplugged the power cord, plugged it in again and turned on the power. All is fine now.

After using Everest to check temperatures, I found that my mobo is at 47c, cpu at 67c and my hard drive at 46c. I've heard anything under 90 is fine, so why it's doing this I dunno. My fans seem to be cooling it okay.

Maybe I should clean any dust out? If this is so, then how do I go about doing it without screwing up my hardware? Thanks if anyone can help...

  14. Thing that angers me most, is my inability to find a job. I wouldn't class myself as one of those pricks who wouldn't work. I never put a foot wrong in school got 10 Grades B-C (RS stupid D), I've worked hard for my A Levels. And now it would appear I can't get a job anywhere. I got rejected from a newsagents, Asda ignored me, B&Q said I had the wrong personality for a car park job, I've recently applied to Wilkinson, which was a week ago with no call yet.

I know the feeling here, which is why I was forced to work at crappy McDonalds. In order to gain the experience you seem to need it in the first place. ¬¬ Stupid imo, there really aren't enough jobs to go around. I'm very tempted to bugger off to another country and look for work when I finish uni. It seems easier to get work anywhere else but the UK tbh.

    Doherty. the fuckwit.

Teenagers. You know what? you are not the pioner of angst, you are not being an individual by dressing in all black, and you know what else? not only does *everyone* understand what you're gonig through, but nobody cares either. so cheer up you miserable little shit. and cut your hair.

Doherty. I agree with that. He is quite a **** for what he's done tbh.

Though your argument on teenagers is a tad stereotypical. I know many teenagers and they are nothing like the depressed angsty kids you talk about. Quite the opposite actually.

That's another thing I can hate sometimes - stereotypes. I mean, I can be guilty of this at times, but it's still anoying. You cant really judge an entire culture/race/etc by one set of criteria. Everyone is different, and has thier own attitudes.
