I was looking for a HDTV, and was planning on buying one soon when I ran into this - http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2006/03/13/samsung_hd_ready_crt_tv/ £350 for a HD quality TV at 32" resolution isn't that bad tbh, infact it's excellent imo. Though I've heard that they might launch at 600 quid. Anyone got any more info/sources on the HD-CRT's? Thanks in advance...

Some of you should really listen to yourselves... "OMG Nintendo are doomed!", "It's called Wii, it's gonna suck!", "Nintendo have just shot themselves in the foot!" I mean, really.... how ott can you get? Okay, so I'm not too fond of the name, but I admit it's a clever concept (with good use of metaphors, it's witty, etc.) It may be called Wii, so what? Is a name going to ruin the gaming experience? No. Is a name going to have any effect on the games that are released? No. Is a name going to effect the gameplay? No! Some people are so ignorant. We're looking at what is probably the most innovative creation in gaming history to date, and people think it's rubbish/doomed just because of a name?

Awesome looking games there! *Adds to growing list of games to purchase.* It's my birthday soon and I'm considering getting a HDTV afterwards if I get enough cash. I was wondering, what's the best one to go for at a realistic price? That's the problem with this film. I loved it because it was so faithful to the games. Some people are not gonna like it because of this. I thought that trying to follow the game so closely was a bold move by Gans, but a nessacary one. At least this isn't a disaster like the Resident Evil films. It didn't to me. Though funnily enough, one bit reminded me of F.E.A.R. The part when Rose saw the girl run across a room before heading up a flight of stairs. The sound made as she appeared was the exact same pitch as when you see Alma in F.E.A.R. Mind you, that's the generic scary girl thing in horror flicks...

All sounds good to me, if even some of it is true I'll be happy. Some of those look far more realistic than other rumors I've seen. Price reductions/free gold accounts is whishful thinking though. :/ I'll take a guess that this feature will let you play a game/browse the dashboard whilst being able to download items from the marketplace in the background. I hope it's this anyway, I'm fed up of having to stare at a download screen for ages...

Well, I've got back from a great night out to come home to a tragic end. I seem to have lost my phone. I tried ringing my number off the house phone earlier, to no avail. However, it seems to be ringing now... which seems kinda dodgy to me. I caught a taxi home with a friend and that's the only place I can think where it could deffinatley be. However, my friend called the taxi and I didn't take note of the company. I can't call her either because her number is on my mobile and I can't remember her number. Shit. I've tried one or two companies that I think might have been the right one, but they've said they had no calls from where my friend and I caught it from. I also got my mp3 player out to listen to some music as I was walking down the road, so it might have fell out then. Though I made a very careful check around the area and saw nothing. I really have no idea what to do now.... help? EDIT: I managed to find the Vodafone number, and my sim is now barred. Now all I gotta do is to try and find the actual phone... great.... ¬¬ Urgh, screw this - I really need to go to bed. I can't concentrate like this....

Gorillaz were a brilliant band and a brilliant concept. This was so sudden, I never saw it coming. They will always reamain brilliant imo! It is sad to see them go, but going out in style is prolly best. Though this does kind of explain the ending of the "El Mañana" video...

All I can say is thank god for msn, it's seriously useful in this kinda situation. I'm not stressed out now either. I was just panicing when I started the thread, prolly because I was a tad drunk when I got back this morning... It was only a 7210 anyway, and I've been planning on getting a new phone for a while (the V3 Razar looks nice.) If I'd lost my mp3 player though I'd be going mental right now.

Thanks for the help/support guys! I've tried asking at the taxi places and one said to call them back about 6pm after the end of the day shifts. Here's hoping. The phone was bought off a mate of mine a few years back so I'm missing some of the original stuff for it. This also means that it's not insured. Bugger. If worst comes to the worst I'll just get a new phone on contract. I was on pay as you go, but it was costing me loads anyway.

I keep trying to rind up the Meanfiddler ticketline on the off chance of a few returns. No luck yet though. May really can't come soon enough - I want that ticket! If all else fails I'm just gonna turn up on the day and hope they are selling them at the gates. They usualy do anyway so there's still hope there.

I know that Kasabian and Bloc Party are busy working on thier next albums, which is why they won't be playing Reading/Leeds. I'm kinda suprised The Strokes and Razorlight aren't on the bill though. Strokes we're strongly rumored too... The tickets on that presale were sold at the same price as the tickets were for the previous festival. So yeah, they were cheaper. I really wish I'd got one then now... *Prays that they extend the capacity and that he gets a ticket*

Whilst I had no luck in getting any weekend tickets (natch) I found out that they are trying to cancel tickets being sold on ebay. This is gonna be interesting.... though it looks less likely thay I'll be able to go.
