  1. England Riots

It's related. I would say ironic due to the reason the rioting started. But this has quickly turned into something else - five finger discount daily.
  2. England Riots

Was posted on twitter, apparently the looting has spread to Cornwall:
  3. England Riots

Eh someone at work said there were people posting on facebook. As a self respecting person I don't FB, so I can neither confirm nor deny. Plus someone else in my office stumbled on this yahoo answers thread. http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110809012958AAyUmSQ Although I've seen people queueing outside debs at 5am during January sales so it might not be anything to worry about.
  4. England Riots

Apparently a riot has been scheduled for where I live (Milton Keynes) gonna be sleeping with a knife tonight. Although I've come to realise the true purpose of the riots. It's not because an innocent man was shot by police. No, it's because people always like an excuse to get free stuff! It seems one blogger agrees with me: Rioters? No, these are looters, thieves and vandals
  5. Metroid: Other M

Fan album if anyone cares: http://www.shinesparkers.net/harmonyofahunter/index.html
  6. Avira, Avast or AVG

Answer would be comodo. Most people I've convinced to try it out seem to like it enough. Rock solid firewall, HIPS and antivirus rolled into one. Sandboxing for questionable programs so that they can't do damage, plus it's free. I've never had a virus so I haven't been able to put it to the test but you can find in depth reviews on youtube.
  7. Job Hunting

Fed up of my job. Going to be doing the whole CV / looking for a change of scenery job hunting game soon too.
  8. The Android Thread

First of all technically your warranty is voided. But it also happens to be very easy to undo. Not as easy as just syncing with itunes or whatever you have to do with IOS, but possible. I think all you'd have to do it flash the stock splash screen, whether the HTC default or carrier custom one. The reason for this is that the rooting process will possibly change your boot splash screen (only if you S-OFF which you'll see in the tutorial I don't think it's really needed so you could skip that if you want). Then you would flash a rom upgrade utility to turn your phone back to stock. http://android.modaco.com/topic/308058-stock-htc-desire-roms/ Simples. As Shorty has said the guide also talks you through backing up the stock rom beforehand. It will however be rooted but I believe running an OTA on that rom will return you back to being unrooted. Also purchase mybackup pro from the market. It will allow you to backup your apps and data, and will become even more useful once you've rooted.
  9. The Android Thread

Yes yes yes and yes! Just follow this easy to use guide and everything will be fine: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1016084 Then your desire life will go from being all: to totally
  10. The Android Thread

Root and install a rom that supports A2SD (not to be confused with apps2sd) I've been using this gingerbread based rom: http://leedroid.com/bravo-home/ With A2SD I've got an extra 499MB of internal storage which I'm hoping to bump up when I upgrade to a 32GB card. Yeah I'm back mofo's
  11. Google+

Apparently google have opened the doors to g+ for a limited time to get more people into the testing phase.
  12. Google+

Soapbox moment, I actually like hotmail probably more than Gmail. Hotmail has just been my thing for the past 10/11 years so I'm attached to it. Otherwise I have a gmail address (and somehow a yahoo one too) and also a google apps email address using my own domain. Probably one of the best decisions I made was using google apps to handle email when I did. Especially since I did it before they cut the number of free users to 10 from about 50. Which is more than I'll ever need.
  13. Mini desktop to be used as media center?

Then what do you want a pc for? Something like this would be all you need: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/229961 Works exactly the same way as your folder analogy.

  20. Haye or Klitschko?

Well I'm sure like as before Haye has got a lot of money on this. His family have got a lot of money of this. They all need to clean out the bookies. So A win from Haye for me.
  21. Google+

Sent you an invite don't forget to remove your email address from your post.
  22. Google+

They would some how need to be able to first find posts and then also find email addresses of people who signed up. Also I don't think they could find the time to kick people out of a service when they need all the users they can get. Invite sent. Delete your address from your post (unless you like spam)
  23. Google+

2 successfully signed up last night and I've had about 8 others get in throughout the day.
