  1. lol the revolution begins! I have had the same side for 5 years and have been in the top league forever. I want to have some garbage players (boy do I have them) and scrap it out in the lowers. Just a personal choice really.
  2. And as one era closes with a 5-3 victory against Roostophe Rovers. A new one begins with Hadens Rangers See you next season Dragooo! Draw incoming soon, will Inter get a home tie? Will Mcoy be screwed out of a spot in the semis? Cup Draw! The Sixty Fourthers vs Mcoys Sons Intergalatigo Stars vs Bayern Bru
  3. You know why you are gonna get another away tie. BECAUSE YOU... Inter just took out Mcoy! Because of Inter Eights is dead we need a champion with class we need Inter as our champ. I was hoping Mcoy would be here so I could strip him of his middle league championship. OMG Rez is here! When Oddy sold his stock in xpert he sold it to me! Now you and I are partners. We have two great champions. The middle league champion Mcoy. And top league champ Bayern Bru. These two champions will fight until there is one. What if Mcoy defends his title against Inter. Bru defends his title against 64s and on the same night the winners face each other for. THE NE CUP! The semi draw will be tonight at 9pm
  4. Cool if you do Dragooo vs Mcoy DuDs vs Bubbles Seahawks vs Co-op Haden vs Inter I will do the other four. Mine will be this weekend sadly as I am v busy till then. Which means I can't preview the last 8 games either sorry guys if anyone wants to do that feel free
  5. It looks like there will be no live draw Thanks for all the ones you have done Jimbob we will do it again next season. I will do my own draw sadly not televised after the England game as I think people need to know with a whole day in advance to make it fair. Tune in after Englands game for the LIVE QUARTER FINAL DRAW!! Draw is!!! The Sixty Fourthers vs Silverdale Hotpot Eights United vs Intergalatigo Stars Bayern Bru vs DuDs Baggies Mcoys Sons vs Seahawks FC The Draw was done by who I want to go thro... by a random number generator! Good luck guys matches to be played this Friday get your invites sent
  6. I posted at 6.53 am today baby! An admin has to get up early to make sure damn hypocrites, troglodites and parasites aren't trying to take over NE.
  7. Huh? 10000000 Resign from your team and then make a new one. We can be lower league buddies! lol lol, You up for diving the Round 2 reports? Oh the new league will start straight after the cup btw. So a week on Tuesday.
  8. Ok guys I have done it all teams have been deleted please reapply to the league. I do have that power and if I was going to pull a Vince Mcmahon style screw job you would be the first to suffer Everyone misunderstood me I think haha. I meant I might start a new team up ala Oddy because I am a bit bored of the same team after 4 years and 21 seasons, would quite like to scrap it out in the lower league for a few seasons. Is the cup draw going to be this evening? Will tune in if so.
  9. I will attend if it is tonight even though I am out Thinking of something I thought right at the start of this season. That I need a new team and a new challenge
  10. Haden will be singing to Nikos after he gets escorted out of my home ground.
  11. It is at 7.30 could you do it at 7? Or maybe at half time? Gaggle still hasn't been online and Ell and Bru haven't sorted it out Dragoooo has just been on for Mcoy check your games tomorrow morning if you can people that haven't sorted. The person who has been inactive in setting up the game will go out automatically if games don't get set up.
  12. Round 2 predictions DuD's Baggies vs Bubbles FC Baggies vs Bubbles will be a great reason for lower league fans to tune in to the next round of the cup. They have played each other twice and Baggies has won both times. Baggies and Bubbles both have talent all over the pitch although Bubbles has the best standout player in their keeper. You would back Baggies for this tie but if Bubbles keeper lives up to his talent they could sneak a win. Sixty Fourthers vs Recall United 64s vs Recall is an intriguing match, 64s look much stronger but suffered a confidence sapping season. Recall did well in their last tie and move forward with confidence. They have had a lot of draws in previous meetups but again I can't look past the midfield battle, I have to say I think Recalls cup journey ends here. Dragoooo vs Mcoys Sons After a boring first game the Sons are out to prove they are an exciting team to watch. They are obviously complete favorites in this one and will look to play an attacking game and kill the game off. However look to Dragoooo to play their own game and use the home advantage spur them on. This could turn into an epic cup upset, the Sons have to hold their nerve in this one. Haden United vs Intergalactico Stars An intriguing battle, United have a very poor home record against Inter, lost 2 and drawn 1. Inter were nearly sent out in a 1st round shock but salvaged it with some super subs. Expect them to play a much stronger side as they try and combat the top league champs. This one could go either way and is your most likely cup upset this round. Seahawks FC vs Comerade Co-op Both these managers were trainer at the same manager school and know each other very well. Seahawks made it through in dramatic style in their last game while the Co-op found it easier. Seahawks have beaten Co-op 5 times but their last game played was a Co-op victory. Seahawks have a stronger side but Co-op have been the in form side as of late. I could see this one heading to a draw, the team that creates the most chances if that happens would win. Silverdale Hotpot vs Madpool This is maybe the biggest tie of them all! Silverdale are a top tier side that nearly made it into the top 3 of the top league this season, while Madpool have arrived on the top stage and just lost out on their first top league title this year. One of the reasons they didn't was a 6-1 thumping from Silverdale that cost them dearly in the title race. This will weight heavily on Madpool players. Both teams are desperate for silverware, Madpool have a tendency to pull it out the bag, I back them. If Silverdale win this it could be a defining moment for them as a club. Eights United vs Leeds M.O.T Eights United impressed in the first round as they dispatched Rising Phoenix. The teams are equal in wins and losses against each other. Eights are the clear favorites as they enjoy the best period in their club history. However Leeds have just been promoted back to the top tier, you feel they need another couple of seasons to mature. I can't look past their vulnerable defense, but their manager is savvy and knows how to get the best from his players. This won't be each for Eights. Essex Elites vs Buyern Bru I take back what I said before, this is the best tie of the round! Elites vs Bru is an epic rivalry and it was fate when this was drawn. Elites are an aging squad while Bru are a youthful one how this affects the cup I do not know. Elites have a greater depth than Bru and showed them up the last time they played. However Brus players will be galvanized by this tie and will be hoping chuck the Elites out of the cup to the delight of their fans. I think Elites will have this but whatever happens the real winner will be the neutral should be a hell of a match.
  13. Haden hasn't been feeling well luckily Mcoy visited him in hospital!
  14. I Pmd him if he doesn't invite you YOUR FI.. THROUGH! Jimbob when did you want to do the last draw? Let me know so I can post an announcement get some coverage for it.
  15. Are you saying this is the last round drawn then after that it follows your table? Cause I think that is a good idea I just didn't know if you meant that.
  16. I don't get how this is different to the pulling out names? If we are doing a live draw tomorrow what time is good for you Recall? Are people able to make it to tomorrows draw? It will be the last live draw I think to round off Jimbobs trilogy
  17. Epic Draw as per usual Jimbob! The draw is here on Madpools spreadsheet. Some very very tasty matchups there! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AvQ3o_vAjSlNdGZkT3ROTng0emZJbGJ5SGRSTXhWUWc&output=html Games to be played on Tuesday so get the invites sent! I was thinking one last draw for last 8 but Madpool had a good idea I think will let him explain in a post.

  20. Round 1 Cup reports! Bayern Bru 3-1 Winston Gardens Bru went into this first round cup tie as the clear favorites against up and comers Winston Gardens. Bru played a balanced 4-4-2 formation against Gardens who looked to dominate midfield with a 4-5-1 formation. Bru got off to a super start as Helder whipped in a cross for Lindpere to emphatically head home on 7 minutes. Bru were in control of the game but a Gardens attack led to a shock equalizer as Crane lobbed a ball into the box for Meena to head in. Bru fans seemed nervous as it approached half time with the game tied. Another header this time from Lafferty nodded the ball in off the post for his first ever goal. Both managers freshened their teams up with substitutions but it was super sub Rundberg who made the difference with a fine solo run ending with him beating Gardens keeper one on one. Bru were in control of the match till the end and closed out the game in style. Gardens acquitted themselves well and should be proud of this game. Bru go onto the next round and should be regarded as a top team to look for in the final stages. Mcoys Sons 0-0 Happenstance FC The Sons and Happenstance lined up in what has to be the most star studded of all the 1st round ties. The two promoted sides lined up with the Sons playing an aggressive 3-5-2 formation against Happenstance possession orientated 4-5-1 set up. Sadly the game failed to deliver, both teams canceled each other out in midfield creating 4 chances between them. The attack was insufficient from either side to beat well prepared defenses. In the end it will be Mcoy who goes through as his side created 3 chances against Happenstance who made 1. Expect a better rematch next season in the top league. Coloccini FC 1-2 Intergalatico Stars Coloccini lined up for the very first time against Inter in a game that had a great cup atmosphere. New side Coloccini had a balanced 4-4-2 line up against Inter who also went with 4-4-2. It was action a plenty in the first half as both sides had chances at goal and then with 3 minutes to go before half time Haslop rocketed home a free kick for the home side. The home fans went delirious with joy, the manager seemed calm but elated in side. The Inter manager boded his time but brought on Slick and Volkoff as Coloccini refused to be broken down in the 2nd half. On the 74th minute this paid off as Undertaker set up Volkoff for a curling shot that crept into the top right hand corner of the goal. 3 minutes later Slick lobbed a ball in for Undertaker to head home to make it 2-1. Coloccini pressed on but by this stage Inters class was showing. The final whistle blew and Collocinis fans gave their team and manager a standing ovation. Inter progress but not without a scare, they have the smarts to go far. Eights United 3-1 Rising Phoenix Eights United faced former top league rival Rising Phoenix in the first round of the cup. Both teams went with an attacking 3-5-2 formation but from the offset United were in control of the game. After 4 minutes Yusri had gained the lead from a blistering shot that went in off the post. Capwell made it 2-0 with a looping header and then scored another before half time to make it 3-0. Phoenix came back into it in the 2nd half but only netted a consolation goal via a grounded long range shot from Parsons. United march on and will be a team most other sides will hope to avoid in the last 16 draw. Draw for next round is 7pm tonight!!! Chatroom here Video stream here Cup table here
  21. Did you want to do these guys? The Comerade Co-op vs Aqui1a All Stars Bubbles FC vs Yellow Submarine Recall United vs Cubic County Seahawks FC vs Real Peeps And I will report on the other 4. Thanks your reports have been amazing.
  22. Sweet so these will all be relevant then
  23. Round 2: The Last 16 Survivors! The Comerade Co-op Bubbles FC Recall United Seahawks FC Bayern Bru Mcoys Sons Eights United Intergalactico Stars Leeds.M.O.T Silverdale Hotpot The Sixty-Fourthers Dragooooo Madpool Essex Elites DuDs Baggies Haden United Draw for this round is at 7pm Sunday 26th February hosted by Jimbob, so join us in the NE chatroom and in the livestream for the excitement! Even if you got knocked out come in and back your new fave team! do you have a perma link for your stream Jimbob or is it created when you start the stream?
  24. Some good games there, no real big shocks although I thought Inter was in trouble for a while! Took the time to watch the games live which was fun. I think my fave was Recall-Cube that was insane to watch with all the disallowed goals. Although Seahawks Peeps was also ridiculous, Peeps was so close to going through. Did anyone want to share the Cup reports with me? 4 each?
  25. Round 1 Cup Report Preview The Comerade Co-op The Co-op had a superb season, winning the lower league by a clear 4 points and helping Legacy pick up the Alliance trophy. They are still a side that are growing, with lots of veteran talent supplementing their youth. Bazhenov is their rock at the back in goal and is a clear leader in their team. They have a vast number of free kick specalists and are a side that should not be taken lightly. A last 8 finish is well within their capabilities. (14/1) vs Aqui1a All Stars The All Stars got promoted this season and will be looking to build on this with a solid cup run. They enjoy a good defense with a midfield that are one of the more creative in the lower league. Their talisman Marino is retiring at the end of this season, Page and Fogden will look to fill his very big shoes. All Stars attack does not seem quite as full of talent but if they win some midfield battles they may be a dark horse in this tournament. (22/1) The money is on Co-op in this one, they have the talent to edge All Stars out. However All Stars have beaten Co-op 2 times drawn once and lost once. It is significant to note that All Stars have never won a game at Co-ops home stadium. Bubbles FC Bubbles are a team with middle league experience, who many tipped to go straight back up to the middle league this season. They seem to be playing a more long term game, finishing 5th this season but having some very promising youth. Azizpoot and Sundholm keep things safe at the back while 7 star youth provide pace in multiple areas. A better team than you would assume from their standing. (15/1) vs Yellow Submarine Yellow Submarine are a new team managed by Zell, they have started with a talented pool of players who will be raring to show their new manager what they are made of. Beasley and Ling look to be a great pair up front and Lilywhite is a player who is capable of controlling a midfield battle. Minnows yes, but strange things happen in cups. (30/1) The obvious money is on Bubbles, they have the experience and are at home. They have however finished a long season and Yellow Submarine will be very excited to debut. An interesting one to watch. Recall United A side that has rediscovered their form in recent seasons staying in the middle league this season, however they also lost their hero Hollingdale. However with the manager emphasizing a youth drive maybe a new era in Uniteds history could be upon us? Their strength is clearly in defense with Whiteside heading a good collection of defenders. However their midfield is now quite vulnerable and could be exposed. The manager will need to be tactically astute to advance.(14-1) vs Cubic County Endured a horrible season where they failed to win a game and finished dead last in the middle league. They have quite a large squad whose talent lies in their midfield with a large collection of players who are ready to fill Maupas's shoes when he retires at the end of this season. A win psychologically would be great for them next season. Do the players have the belief? (19-1) The obvious choice is Recall, however looking at things closer it is not so clear cut. The last game they played was at home for Recall and was a 1-1 draw. Two games before that Cube won (albeit at home), the departure of Hollingdale shows a clear tactical advantage in the midfield battle for Cube. This one is to close to call. Seahawks FC Seahakws stabilized their position in the middle league after another close finish that nearly saw relegation. They have talent in all areas but a very oddly balanced squad. With 6 forwards and 4 midfielders (one of whom is retiring) Seahawks laughs in the face of managerial traditions. Their manager has talent and in a cup environment may thrive. (14-1) vs Real Peeps Peeps fans have no nails left after another reprieve from relegation to the lower league this season. A team that has an eye on the future has showed they can also scrap it out when they need to. Heinzmann their cool and collected midfielder provides leadership and class in midfield, while Biggins has proved to be a safe pair of hands at the back. They would love to have a cup run to show their critics that they have what it takes to make it in the middle league. (14-1) It is the battle of the teams whose fans have no hair left through worry! Recent form would suggest Seahawks will edge this one, Peeps have never scored against Seahakws and have lost both away games to them. Both teams will want to prove something but I see Seahawks winning this unless Peeps can overwhelm them in midfield. Bayern Bru Bru finished 7th in the top league this season but don't let that fool you, their manager contracted malaria for half the season and was not able to manage his team for some of the season. He is also undertaking a youth project to rejuvenate his side. A youthful midfield led by Helder is the managers pride and joy. They are superb in defense and threatening up front, a clear contender. (5-1) vs Winston Gardens FC Gardens are a new side that leapt to 2nd place in their first season gaining automatic promotion to the middle league! Stuart secures their defensive lines while Rosebotham provides them with ideas and goals in midfield. They are a side that can soak up pressure and hit teams on the break with a quick attack. Progressing past the first round may be mission impossible but they will be competitive. Obviously Bru are going to go into this game as dead favorites. Gardens need a break to get anywhere in this game, a red card, penalty, injury something to turn the game in their favor. Without that this is Bru's to lose. Mcoys Sons Mcoy are back after being screwed out of promotion last season, they won the league this time around to ensure they would go up. Nearly going unbeaten all season was a great achievement. They have a sqaud that has big name veterans as well as youths in it. Heckingbottom, Gaye and Rufus are terrifying names for any other manager to see playing them. A cup win would be a statement of intent as they entered the top league. (5-1) vs Happenstance FC Happenstance enjoyed a renaissance this season with their team gaining 2nd place in the middle league and once again coming to the top league. They have an aging squad that has huge star potential such as Pascoe and Carling. However new super talents such as Dibbler will want to make their mark. They might not quite have the depth of the top tier teams but they are a powerhouse none the less. A 2nd tier favorite for the league. (7-1) While only one position separates them Happenstance have an awful record against Mcoy. The last 4 times Mcoy hosted Happenstance they beat them 5-0,2-0,2-0,5-0. Happenstance have not beaten Mcoy in over a year. However Happenstance will want to prove with them both being promoted that they are Mcoys equal if not superior. An exciting match between the two promotees. Eights United Progress is the word that springs to mind when you think of Eights United. A small squad run under the careful watch of their manager they have solidified themselves as a top tier squad. They have youth talents in every department and stars like Fjellbekk to provide a cutting edge. A surprising depth for such a small squad, this could be their moment. (5-1) vs Rising Phoenix Finished last after their first foray into the top league, they caused a few upsets but lacked the talent to keep in the top league. Their main strength is their talented defense and goalkeeper Jerimo, they are often able to grind away at a team and keep them at bay. However even with veteran striker Bolam their forwards need more development. They should be watched with interest to make an appearance in the last 8 if they can get past this first game. (11-1) This may be a case of Rising Phoenix retreating into their bunker and hitting on the counter attack. Eights should be able ease through although it is interesting to note Eights have failed to beat Phoenix at home in their last two attempts their may be more to this tie than meets the eye. Coloccini FC Another new side! Coloccini FC are raring to start their season with a win in the cup as their new set of players get ready for their first outing. Wheatman and Rowley are good central defenders and Arkwright has the legs to help in midfield for the whole game. They are at home and their fans can't wait to show support for their new team! (30-1) vs Intergalactico Stars Inter are a side that many thought would return to the top league but stayed in the middle league much to the upset of other middle league sides. They have a stellar selection of players, Fu a true leader in defense, Zidane a legend in midfield, Hogan a multitalented attacker. Attack is the one area where the Stars fail to shine maybe quite as brightly. But their manager is one of the best in any league and depending on the draw Inter may be a safe bet to make it to the semis or beyond. (8-1) This should be Stars to lose, they have an advantage in every area of the pitch and a manager who knows how to get the job done. Coloccini FC are at home however and will be well up for this game. A cup upset may not be the most unlikely scenario! The other teams will be done when the next draw is made. Good luck everyone! lol yeh was well pleased. I tried to get a 17 4 but got outbidded last night. Settled for a 19 5 mf instead. Talking of 17 4s Leeds got one for under 200k, wtf...
