  1. Hey RedShell can't you do the same release list for the DS games on the DS forum?
I'm afraid I have a hard enough time keeping this one up to date to manage a DS list too, sorry.

Plus there's already a DS release list in Handheld Discussion, although it's not been updated in quite a while.

You could always drop Colin a PM to see if he'll update it.

  2. It's good that the price has dropped, but it's still £10 more than I'd like it to be, and what the Americans pay for it.

Hmm... I'm still not sure if I'll get this, I really want to play the Ada mission, but I just don't think I can justify spending 25 quid on it. :hmm:

  3. With experience of the Winning Eleven DS tournament (which came to a halt for some reason :heh:) I can say that I think that posting the scores would be fine without pictures as there were never any arguments in the WE League.
Yeah it kind of ran out of steam. The DS's limited online system and the dodgy frame rate didn't really help matters.

The Mario footie tourney should run much smoother.

I'm definitely getting this game now by the way, so count me in if there's still space. :hehe:

  4. I finally found the last hidden item today, finding them on the outdoor stages was pretty difficult.

Time to focus on the challenges now. I really want to get the unlimited homing beam, but the challenge missions are so damn tough and you've got to beat 20 of them! :shakehead

How's everyone else doing, anyone done them all?

  5. Konami for me too. They've made the best use of the Wii Remote out of all the third party developers so far I reckon, with Eledees.

And as davidredge pointed out, they have a great catalogue of franchises.

Most of which I would love to see on Wii, but none more so than Mystical Ninja! If that game ever makes it I'll be very happy indeed.

  6. I never played the GCN version of this game so I reckon I'll have to get this, see what it's like.

I kind of have the same feeling about it that I had with the previous game though, that I wish it was a more traditional representation of football than all this crazy stuff. Reminds me of this...

Should be a good laugh online though.

Hopefully Nintendo will have some quality adds for it, they're going to have to work hard to top these though:

  7. * Tip (if anyone is unsure , beating the final boss again will give renewed stats)
    Cheers, just did that:

    eledeesstatsmh3.jpg

My original time was 3:25 I think, but it took me less time to beat the boss on my second go.

What’s everyone’s total game time? I’m on around 27 hours. Just goes to show how much play time there is outside of the Story mode.

There are 2 unlockables in the game that require you to get the titles King of Noise and King of Capture but no one knows how on earth to get these. Many people on G-faqs have emailed Konami to see what the hell you have to do to get these titles.
    Interesting...

I'm guessing for King of Noise you have to make sure you don't get any sound penalties, as for King of Capture, surely it won't be something as evil as you have to capture every single Eledee in the game!? Or will it?

Either way I'm going to struggle with those I think.

Played some multiplayer for the first time last night, hectic doesn't even begin to describe it! And this was just 2 player.

It's pretty funny as you can both pick up the same object and fight over it, my mate soon discovered a really annoying tactic though of grabbing a massive object and holding it up close, therefore blocking the view to the Eledees!

You can set the camera control up to flick between the players, we had it set to 30 sec each. You have to make really good use of your time with the camera though, as catching Eledees when you're not controlling the view is much more difficult!

  8. Do reviewers not take this kind of thing into account when reviewing a game?

I was also wondering what everyones ranking was at the end of the game?

It doesn't look like they do. They certainly haven't with Eledees, the amount of new content to still be discovered after completing story mode is pretty immense.

I don't remember my ranking now, :hmm: should have taken a pic.

Do you know what you got?

Haven't touched the level editor etc... but may leave that to the end anyway.
Yeah it's a good idea to leave edit mode until you finish the main game, as you add stuff to it by getting at least a B Rank in all the story mode stages.

  9. Completed story mode earlier, did mission 27 on my second go in the end! Just took a look at the tips but was quite surprised as I didn't do any of that to beat it! :heh:

Loved the last stage, but had some killer slowdown towards the end of it! Final Boss was cool though...

the Power Ranger / Transformer variation of the Eledee.

As spectacular as the latter stages were though I actually prefer the earlier indoor ones, not just because they hold up better frame rate wise but I think the gameplay mechanics are better suited to the smaller more claustrophobic environments. It has a really nice feel to it that is slightly lost on the outdoor stages.

Anyway, gonna get into edit mode in a big way now!

  10. ;437729"]Whatever day the new Wiimote colours come out...which I can't now find...
Are those really coming so soon!? I figured it'd be ages before we saw new colours, what with the production issues and everything. ::shrug:

  11. I have been trying to do some of the challenges this afternoon and man are some of them hard to do. I spent a good 10 mins trying to do a 10 second challenge!
I've only done the first challenge because I can't stop playing edit mode. It's so damn addictive! :hehe:

I'm up to stage 22 in the story, think I'm going to play through to the end before I go back to edit mode though so I can unlock all the extra stuff for it.

Don’t know what IGN were on about giving this a 6 for lasting appeal. I’ve played for over 20 hours now and haven’t even finished the main game! That whole review was completely flawed you ask me, the fact they claim it’s not as good anymore because the novelty of the Wii Remote has worn off is ridiculous. Are they going to apply the same logic to Mario Galaxy and Metroid 3 then because they didn’t come out sooner? :heh:

  12. HA HA! I can't believe you actually got it, I sent it to you like 4 months ago!
    Cool huh?

Anyone else think that the art work in the cutscenes is gorgeous?
Absolutely. Such a shame about the voice-overs though, ear bleedingly bad. :heh:

Played this for a few hours today and now I have really bad motion sickness! Strange really as I've never had it playing any other game before, I wonder why it happened in this game?
I had a very slight feeling of motion sickness at first, only lasted around 15 minutes or so and not had it since. I've never had anything like that before either. I think Gizmo's probably right though and it's to do with not having a gun or something as a focal point, so you're really focusing on the environment a lot. That combined with lots of quick turning movement and loads of stuff flying around must be what does it. If anyone out there really suffers from motion sickness with games they should try it out before buying just in case. If it can affect people that don't suffer from the condition I hate to think what it'd do to someone that does!

I cant resist from buying this gem... I hear everywhere that Eledees is a truly great game!Do you know if the game supports widescreen and progressive scan(480p)?
It supports 480p and DPLII, not widescreen though.

  13. Best third party game so far in my eyes.
Completely agree. Personally it's one of the best, if not the best third party game I've ever played!

Don't agree with you on the level editor though, I was actually surprised as to how powerful it is. I mean apart from the restriction on the amount of items used you can basically to anything, even re-create some of the Story Mode stages. That tells me we've got pretty much the same tool as what the developers had, what more could you need? :hmm:

  14. Good news everyone!
More like good news everyone from America, as that has merely confirmed the US version will be a budget title at $29.99 (£15 / €22).

We'll be lucky to even get it for £20. I reckon it'll be £30.

By the way, don’t go looking at Capcom’s European site for a similar confirmation, they don’t even have Wii listed as a system! :indeed:

  15. im taking the information with a pinch of salt really
Better make it a very big pinch of salt! :heh:

That's got to be one of the worst, most inaccurate release lists I've ever seen.

Not to mention a hilarious caption:

Your latest, most accurate UK release dates, fresh.

    Yeah... nice one IGN! :indeed:

  16. Oh and thanks Redshell for your lovely screenshot (i found it), it's great! :yay:
Cool. Send me some screens/levels sometime.

Do you just go about looking for Eledees in a room or something?

And does anyone know how long it is?

Yeah searching for and collecting Eledees is the main objective, but it's not just limited to inside a house. Eventually you go out in to the streets and find yourself lifting up cars and even houses!

I've spent just over 12 hours on my game so far (a few hours of that time in edit mode) and I'm up to stage 19 in the story mode, I believe there are around 30 stages in total. Plus each stage has 3 unlockable modes so there is quite a bit of replay value. icon14.gif

I definitely know what you mean H-o-T about the Chibi-Robo vibe, that and Pikmin were the first games that came to my mind when I started playing this.

    And...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC408W3Mw3g

Neil Buchanan sure loves saying "could be anywhere"

  17. So what does everyone else think of the game?

I've gone through the single player a bit more now, up to the stages that introduce special requirements i.e. you shouldn’t break stuff or make too much noise. Certainly adds a nice twist to the gameplay as you can't just go mental throwing stuff all over that place like on the opening stages! :heh:

By the way, just to add something to what I said about the edit mode before, I found out you can choose the furniture set before you start so you're not actually tied down to whatever goes with a certain stage, in fact you can choose up to 3 different sets of furniture and you don't even have to pick the corresponding one, so you can make a stage using the bedroom but with furniture from the hall, kitchen and study instead. Another cool thing in the editor is that you can turn the physics on and off by pressing the 2 button, so you can stack loads of stuff up and then switch on the gravity to check if it balances or falls to the ground! It's also useful to make sure everything is properly placed in the room as sometimes after moving items around they're left slightly in mid air.

So far I've only got one complaint with the game, and that is the restriction that is placed on the WiiConnect 24 feature. See it turns out you can only send screenshot and custom level data once per day, at first I thought it meant you could only send 1 screen/level to one person, but it's not actually that bad. You can send to more than one person (everyone on your list it seems) but you have to do it all in one go, so if you forget to send to someone you can't then just send it to them afterwards, you have to wait until the following day. I guess it makes sense though as it would probably get really messy if there was no limit to what you could send.

I sent you a screenshot yesterday Owen, did you get it?

  18. Looks like tomorrow's releases are:

    Eledees (Konami)

    Spider-Man 3 (Activision)

The other game, Mercury Meltdown Revolution, is still ambiguous. But I'll keep a look out for it when I go into Wigan tomorrow and look in Gamestation, GAME and HMV.

Yep, Eledees and Spider-Man 3 it is.

Mercury Meltdown seems to be slipping pretty much on a weekly basis.

Next week we should be seeing Cooking Mama and possibly Bust-A-Move, although the latter has also had a habit of slipping in the past.
