Zelda: Twilight Princess Discussion (SPOILERS: BEWARE)
... replied to EchoDesiato's topic in Nintendo Gaming
You don't do scans for legal issues? Scans would be nice, I'd like to see those Zelda shots you describe. -
Ahem.... Do you remember a game called Red Steel?
-
I don't know either, all I want is to see the trailer itself, not pictures from it. :P

Hmmm.... about my post here above... of course the cooking game presented in the trailer kills all or most of my speculation, cause the guy doing the cutting is looking straight ahead (to a TV, I suppose) and not to what he is supposedly cutting....

Check this thread posted in Gamespot Forums, System Wars: http://www.gamespot.com/pages/forums/show_msgs.php?topic_id=24590012 Check the links posted by the first replier: http://www.xgaming.com/newsletter/2006/Wii%20view_3d_with_naked_eye_b.jpg http://www.xgaming.com/newsletter/2006/Wii%203_d_autostereoscopic_d1.jpg http://www.xgaming.com/newsletter/2006/Wii%20comp_heart.jpg If there should be anything 3D, it should be like this, not with glasses, glasses only are good to turn your eyes backwards. But now, get your mind back to the old controller trailer, from TGS last September. There are two (at least) games there that can actually be suggesting some sort of 3D holographic output device.... Namely, the dentist one, and the one where the 3 girls are killing flies, or whatever. A game about killing flies, the way they move their eyes, etc, it suggests a 3D environment. Now, of course it's just a trailer, a marketing move, but who knows? I'm not putting any money on this, it's just something that hit me now as i rewatched the trailer, which I hadn't seen in a few months. The killing flies thing made me think about it... Also, notice that no one in that trailer is wearing any type of goggles.

Very interesting game. That quote about using torches to scare rats sounds awesome, we'll see how this turns out.

Do this many europeans care about american football? Let alone american football video games!

They should have a site that doesn't load a video everytime you go there...

I'm very excited about the Wii, but I will wait for a bit of feedback before. It's like reading game reviews, you know?

Name A Game You Should Play Before Wii.

Metroid Prime is a must. -
Sorry for creating a new thread, but I searched for Metroid threads and only 2 showed up, not related... I have the first game and I think it's the best Gamecube game (yes, I have RE4 too and MP is better ). I'd like to get the 2nd one, but I've been waiting for a bargain price. But the Player's Choice interest lies also on the fact that I hope to get a more recent version of the software, where they possibly corrected that much talked about glitch that may make you have to start over from scratch! Fear of that glitch for a first time player is a very big turn off, I don't wanna spend 15 or 20 hours just so I have to start over again...

Why doesn't MP2 come out as Player's Choice?
... replied to ...'s topic in General Gaming Discussion
I have the Metroid Prime Player's Choice too. Also Mario Sunshine. -
I have that one, bought it only a year ago, April 2005. I'm a Nintendo fan since about 1989, but I was gonna skip the Gamecube (cause I had lost interest in games as I began college) but then, in the Christmas of 2004, I came upon something wonderful: the video for Zelda Twilight Princess. And I thought to myself "I'm gonna get a Gamecube, there's no question about that". Turns out the game was delayed in typical Nintendo tradition (I should've seen that one coming...) and it's still not out. Anyway, I do not regret buying the Gamecube, it actually revived my love for videogames after a 5 years break. So, anyway, that was just a story of how I got the silver Cube, because I bought it so late in the game. If I'd bought it in the begining, I'd have the black one.

Same here, Ninja. When I'm up I don't want to go to sleep, but when I'm asleep I don't wanna get up. It's just weird... About the purpose of life and stuff like that. a) to the people who say there is a purpose, why should there be? b) to the people who say there isn't a purpose, why shouldn't there be? Basically what I'm saying is you don't know, so don't claim it as fact. When I see that question, "what's the purpose of all this?", my answer is always "why must there be one?". It's not a denial, but it's not an affirmation either, cause either one of those two could be wrong. If there isn't a purpose and you say there is, you're wrong. If there is a purpose and you say there isn't, you're wrong. So just be agnostic, it's the smartest thing to be.

Why doesn't MP2 come out as Player's Choice?

I was playing Metroid Prime today on Hard Mode. Truly wonderful game. I will get 2 sometime, I'll keep an eye out for it. The idea of the two worlds isn't very appealing to me either, TBH. I don't mind backtracking at all (I actually love it, the sense of exploring is better than going from A to B like in, say, RE4), but doing it twice seems a bit much... This coming week I should receive Hitman 2 so I'll be a bit busy. I'll worry about MP2 later. -
That still doesn't explain the reactions "Oh, I hope that's not final design!!1". Aside from the wire and the colour, the design is the same, get my point already?

Why doesn't MP2 come out as Player's Choice?

That can happen because they are so much alike. It happened to me with Zelda Majora's Mask back in 2000. I absolutely loved Ocarina of Time in 98 and I couldn't wait for Majora's Mask but than I don't know why, it didn't make me see the fireworks and I put it down before completing it. I only picked it up like 3 or 4 months later. Not to say MM is a bad game, I love it today, but it was too much like OoT, it feels like overkill in a new game. -

Here's what it is, as described in Wikipedia. I've read about it elsewhere too. Among the minor glitches, there is one fatal glitch in the temple level of the game. One room in the Sanctuary Fortress requires Samus to shoot three audio targets (visible through the echo visor) to take the exit to the next room. If less than the three targets are destroyed and Samus exits through the door through which she entered (e.g., to get more missiles to come back and destroy them), they cannot be destroyed, Samus cannot exit to the next room, nor continue in the game (despite many hours of game play required to get to that point). -

Yeah, I check Amazon regularly. I won't be buying any time soon, I am currently expecting Hitman 2 to arrive in the mail. I know it's cheap at Amazon second hand but it's the glitch that bothers. Didn't anyone here in this forum have problems with that? -
What are you people talking about? These look exactly like the ones shown on TGS in September and GDC last month, except they're grey. Just the colour changed, the model is the same (except the already mentioned big thing that plugged the analogue stick in and the round pointer, but that hardly justifies such a reaction). So what do you mean "proper" ones? I, for one, am hoping grey is a launch colour for the Rev cause to me Nintendo = Grey. NES was grey, SNES was grey, the N64 was black but with grey controller, my GC is the platinum one, so almost grey. And I hope I can choose the grey Rev, as the white one may look good on advertising pictures but I don't want it in my living room. If no grey, then black is next choice. Of course this is all just opinion, so don't jump me. But I just found it odd that just cause the controller is grey in the pictures the reactions were "I hope it's not the final design", as if the model were completely different.
