You could have a bad start or take a spill and recover from both. But because catch-up items don't work, you can just get trapped in pack hell for a whole race or worse - just sit around the back of the race. The worst thing, is you can essentially race a solid or even a good race, but it can make no difference because of a poor start. It ruins the experience.I know I'm never gonna change your mind, but I just don't see this.
Almost every time I get a Mushroom, I go up a place, I've had races that have started god awful for me, but ended up in a respectable position in the end.
Someone who has raced with me in the league must have seen this. There were a few races on Wednesday where I've been in 10th-12th place and by the end, I was in the top three thanks solely to Mushrooms and Stars.
Granted, he's not as god-awful as Donkey Kong, but the new voice is nowhere near as charming as the N64 voiceCan't agree with that. It's a matter of opinion though.
I think Yoshi has more charm now then he ever did with the old retro voice. He sounds more like an excited dino then he did there.

I happen to prefer playing it on the 3DS...

It helps that I know two other people who are die-hard Monster Hunter fans. Not to mention, every now and then, a group I'm part of meets up and hunts.
I've even hunted in Capcom HQ. Awesome experience that online play can never hope to match.

Great game, where the only complaints are these types of nit-picks (Donkey Kongs voice sounds like he has... special needs, Yoshi too and I miss toads N64 voice), but man, are they annoying!I happen to like Yoshi's voice. Especially when he shouts "Go, Potato" for no reason what-so-ever.

Everytime you didn't get 3 stars it's because you're rubbish, more like.It does seem remiss that there isn't a reward for 3-starring everything. Didn't you unlock something in the Wii version?
I wouldn't say I was "rubbish" because a blue shell hit me at the last moment...
All you got in Wii was 3 stars appearing next to your name online. Nothing more.

I am actually really happy with this. If you don't come first on one track you'll still get a star, and let's face it; the reason you won't come first is due to some shell fuckery. I don't really feel like punishing myself, aiming to three star everything in a way that is essentially down to luck.I'm with this. Every time I didn't get 3-stars, it was due to an unfortunately timed shell.
I mean, I still went and did all that for completionist reasons, but why hide a reward behind something that reliant on luck for Mario Kart?
Do well, but not perfect is the best compromise for this, in my opinion.

Looks like the Mario Kart TV app has been updated with Time Trial leaderboards, but you need to have updated it and as do your friends

I agree with @S\.C\.G. These games have potential. The robot one looks like it could a lot of fun if properly fleshed out and the guard one looks like it'll be so awesomely stressful.And come on, we're getting a new Star Fox. That's nothing to whine about
Since when have people needed a reason to whine?
The only one I'm not that into is Project Guard. Not the biggest fan of Tower Defense games. (Except Dillon's Rolling Western, that game is a nice mix of action and strategy, plus it has the best Nintendo character design in a very long time)

It is, they have a traditional Mario Party mode too!Traditional in the sense that Mario Party 9 was traditional.
Mario Party 9 is a lot of fun, though. So I'm all for it.

The little kid in me is screaming "It's an RPG with Dinosaurs, that's the coolest thing ever!"
Meanwhile, the adult in me is cringing in laughter at that trailer music!
(I think the kid is going to win out. It seems to be like Dragon Quest Monsters Joker, which I enjoyed, but with more dinosaurs!)

Watchingo n the treehouse, looks kind of awful. The Bowser 5 player, Bowser has to chase the others, they played it and Bowser couldn't catch them, so the whole game was just them rolling dice... Terrible...For some reason, they're not allowed to show past the first fortress.
Luck plays a pretty massive part in Mario Party so stuff like that is going to happen.
I'm loving the Bowser Minigames. So deliciously cruel! Hope there's loads more in the final product.
(And suddenly they're talking about a dead grandma... That got dark...

Not to mention that there's not a lot of choices of enemies...

Totally deserves it. Needed the upgrade badly. I like the design as well.

I need to say this. I LOVE the Mushroom Kingdom Princess costume.
Mainly because of that Bowser Foot replacing the high heel.
Is Bayonetta suggesting something about Peach and Bowser? I wouldn't put it past them.

Yeah, she's obviously not a recent addition...... more and more it's looking like the Gematsu leak is turning out to be real. They've been spot on with predicting every single newcomer (with the only missing one being Rosalina) so far...
... So it seems that Shulk, Chrom and the Chorus Kids are next
I forgot that predicted Pac-Man and Mii.
Man, it's looking more and more plausible over time.
Although, I'm still not sold on Chorus Kids being playable. That just seems TOO out there. I mean, what would they even do? Scream at people? That screams Assist Trophy to me.
