  1. I'm interested how much of a WiFi's game price goes into a lifetime subscription to that game's server.

nintendos servise works diffrently to xbox live, microsoft has tons of servers that actualy host games wheres on the nintendo servise we actualy host our own games very much like gamespy which it is based on. nintendo really only needs to manage the authentication servers and statistic servers which in comparason to live whould be sever 100 to thousand times cheaper.

MMO's require servers becouse of the amount of bandwith thats required to host serveral thousand and sometimes millions of players at once, you should be abble to use the nintendo wifi servise for authtication but the publisher will need to set there own servers up for a mmo. at least with this method we don't need to pay for a live servise then on top of that anouther fee from the publisher of the mmo.

  2. a nice touch though... hmmm.. wonder if you can turn the gun on yourself?

ha ha and if you can throw/juggle the controller he would Throw/juggle the gun

lol they whould need to make the controller pressure sensative to tell if the controller is leaving your hand in order to do that.

but this game is defintly sounding beater by the day, i carn't wait to see what other titles other developers have in store for us at launch.

also found this on the offical nintendo boards. (posted by a user)

This is a pretty WEIRD situation. Over at the IGN boards it seems the ubisoft employer has confirmed we will see the first video's of Red Steel April 20. According to him this day will be the end of many third party NDA's about keeping things underground about Revolution. So we can expect MANY third party stuff about Revolution to be released that day.

  4. i thought it was actualy pretty good compared to the ps2 launch and the 3 game n64 launch. what i didn't like about the launch is the massive gap after it before any other games came out. hopfully the revolution will have a great line up, then a few more quality games in a month or so then a few more.

  5. yeah sd cards are defintly in there so it should be safe to buy those, however it's very possible that the revolution may want to format the card to work with the console. hopfully it's true that usb drives do work, i have few 200gig external drives and a few thumb drives that whould be perfect for downloading games, saves ect on.

  6. yeah it defintly carn't be to really cheap or it will get that image, ill pay up to the gamecube price even a bit more if needed since the virtual console feature add's allot of value for me since i did not get the chance to play many snes or nes games.

  7. i didn't take much to guess that the revolution was an extension of the gamecube hard ware, it had to be to run gamecube software and be 100% compatable. what those specs ign are passing out are missing is the types of extensions they have added to it over the last few years ati & ibm haven't been working away for so long to just up the clock rate and add a few more bits of ram. while i don't think the revolution will replace my pc in the graphics department it should be abble to hold it's own on my tv.

  8. nintendo already anounced that there will be two usb ports what i want to know what they will be used for.

i whould like to see the shell at gdc and there bond to announce something about the virtual console maybe even the first line up of games on it. but even if they don't e3 is only 2months away so it's not a long wait.
