developers don't have unlimited assets to make things look good most of the time they spend there resources on main charactors as you see in resident evil 4 the main charactors look insane wheres the enemys look just okay, you will find thats the case in many games epecaily in nextgen games where resources are even streached more.

I'm interested how much of a WiFi's game price goes into a lifetime subscription to that game's server.nintendos servise works diffrently to xbox live, microsoft has tons of servers that actualy host games wheres on the nintendo servise we actualy host our own games very much like gamespy which it is based on. nintendo really only needs to manage the authentication servers and statistic servers which in comparason to live whould be sever 100 to thousand times cheaper.
MMO's require servers becouse of the amount of bandwith thats required to host serveral thousand and sometimes millions of players at once, you should be abble to use the nintendo wifi servise for authtication but the publisher will need to set there own servers up for a mmo. at least with this method we don't need to pay for a live servise then on top of that anouther fee from the publisher of the mmo.

a nice touch though... hmmm.. wonder if you can turn the gun on yourself?ha ha and if you can throw/juggle the controller he would Throw/juggle the gun
lol they whould need to make the controller pressure sensative to tell if the controller is leaving your hand in order to do that.
but this game is defintly sounding beater by the day, i carn't wait to see what other titles other developers have in store for us at launch.
also found this on the offical nintendo boards. (posted by a user)
This is a pretty WEIRD situation. Over at the IGN boards it seems the ubisoft employer has confirmed we will see the first video's of Red Steel April 20. According to him this day will be the end of many third party NDA's about keeping things underground about Revolution. So we can expect MANY third party stuff about Revolution to be released that day. -

should be a good lead up to the nintendo e3 confrence then, i wonder if we will see other titles other then red steel at e3 and personaly i hope activision has something other then anounter tony hawk argh.

i thought it was actualy pretty good compared to the ps2 launch and the 3 game n64 launch. what i didn't like about the launch is the massive gap after it before any other games came out. hopfully the revolution will have a great line up, then a few more quality games in a month or so then a few more.
-
MM was released near the end of the n64 life, im surprised how many copies of duck hunt sold but it only sold well in america.
-
wow, doesn't anyone own a scanner any more?
this game is just so great and it's not just becouse of the graphics it's the fact that ubi are making full use of the controler and now finaly i can turn the controler and take down enemys in a john woo style. great job ubi.
-
im waiting for the release dates and prices, i may end up importing it since games will be cheaper and ill be abble to get them sooner then i can in australia hopfully the revolution units don't have region protection.
-
yeah sd cards are defintly in there so it should be safe to buy those, however it's very possible that the revolution may want to format the card to work with the console. hopfully it's true that usb drives do work, i have few 200gig external drives and a few thumb drives that whould be perfect for downloading games, saves ect on.
-
it seems to be real sci did post a press release gonintendo have a direct link in there story for that, so far im not really liking the pc demo the camera & the blurring they use to make the envoroments surreal is a pain but its defintly an improvement to the last few games.
-
yeah it defintly carn't be to really cheap or it will get that image, ill pay up to the gamecube price even a bit more if needed since the virtual console feature add's allot of value for me since i did not get the chance to play many snes or nes games.
-
nope i defintly mean ea, ea took the wcw licence of thq after thq's two very sucessful titles wcw world tour and revenge. after that ea made mayham.
-
well there not really allowed to announce revolution titles yet, i haven't played a good wrestling title in awile and gave up after the string of crap ea made on gamecube. however they can give me anouther wcw revenge anyday.
-
i didn't take much to guess that the revolution was an extension of the gamecube hard ware, it had to be to run gamecube software and be 100% compatable. what those specs ign are passing out are missing is the types of extensions they have added to it over the last few years ati & ibm haven't been working away for so long to just up the clock rate and add a few more bits of ram. while i don't think the revolution will replace my pc in the graphics department it should be abble to hold it's own on my tv.
-
eredrend ni ramoec d3 rep phasicrpum whats that ment to mean?
-
as long as software isn't as expansive as some of the n64 releases (turok, conkers bad fur day) ill be happy.
-
there should be at least 3-4 nintendo published titles at launch hopfully the orignal game nintendo is making comes out at launch and one of the nspace ones.
-
this is still the same console that we seen last year it's still the prototype with any luck we may see the final one tomorrow. Nintendo reps said to ign that the controler has also changed a little bit.
i wonder what that panel on the top is you carn't really see it in the revolutionreport screens but the ign one at
http://media.revolution.ign.com/articles/697/697733/img_3480733.html
you can clearly see it on the top of the unit.
-
i think nintendo said it was somthing to do with the controler so it could be as small as the shell will be bungled in with the system or it might be the shell it's self or something that you can add to the remote.
-
i whould be happy if it was arround 20 hours it whould still take me 40-60 hours or more over the year to finish it, if i finish it.
-
i was hoping it whould be true becouse it really needed to be, releasing a AAA title like zelda at the very end of the gamecubes life whould destroy allot of it's sales but with revolution support the game has 5years to get the sales it deserves.
-
nintendo already anounced that there will be two usb ports what i want to know what they will be used for.
i whould like to see the shell at gdc and there bond to announce something about the virtual console maybe even the first line up of games on it. but even if they don't e3 is only 2months away so it's not a long wait.
-
so that could basicly be any war game epecialy games like call of duty. did he say anywhere that it whould be a new ip?
