II think the reason is easy to figure out. EA did this in reaction to Nintendo' decision not to use EA's "Origin" as they exclusive internet system. It really a matter of revenge. After Nintendo's refusal did you see the unprecedent partnership EA promised between Nintendo and themseselves? Don't let EA get fresh of us.
