  1. Super Smash Bros. 3DS / Wii U

I'd rather see him bring the moon down on his oponents. It'd be interresting to get Nights. Also, I've previously stated that I'd like to see Ryo Hazuki from Shenmue make an appearance. And his stage would be Dobuita, with the arcade on one end of the map.
  2. Because P-100 probably won't appeal to a western audience too much. Batman is, even without the success of the two Arkham games, a very famous IP which will awake peoples interrest.
  3. No GTA for Wii U it seems.

Well, Nintendo apparently did an effort to get GTA for the Wii. It's surprising that there's not a Wii version of San Andreas or Vice City (Stories).
  4. I think this is essentially avoiding the question. The Wii U is going to be the most powerful console out there on launch. Why doesen't he emphasise on that? His rethoric here doesen't feel aggressive or combative: it's defensive.
  5. Nintendo development list

I'm actually hoping that they won't make another Metroid. A brand new franchise, maybe an FPS would be excellent.
  6. Mass Effect 3

Is the so called "Earth" SP or MP?
  7. Mass Effect 3

I already own a 360 with the whole ME trilogy for it, yet somehow I'm positive about the extra content. I never said anyone's entitled to anything. However, do you remember when Resident Evil 4 came out for the PS2? They got it very late, but by the time they got it, they got a whole slew of extra content, much more than I think EA will give us. Extra costumes, extra guns, extra side campaigns and I believe extra chapters for the single player campaign. And despite RE4 being marketed as a GC exclusive, I don't recall GC owners moaning over it very much. And I don't quite get the negativity here. We're getting the last chapter in the perhaps greatest franchise of the last decade, perhaps even with some exclusive content... and you're objecting?
  8. Wii U available for pre-order

Of course, that requires developers to want to make good use of the extra power.
  9. Mass Effect 3

Talking about the Wii U getting the Extended Cut ain't news. The extended cut is coming this summer, and the Wii U version not getting it on the disc would basically be a scandal. Whether exclusive content is good or bad could be debated. Depends on the content. If there's no rime or reason, then it's bad. But for example, I don't think it's bad how they added a unique character for each version of Soul Calibur 2. And don't forget how some limited editions of games (*cough*N7 edition) Also, Nintendo fans won't be getting ME1, and likely not even ME2. They should get SOMETHING in return.
  10. Mass Effect 3

This made my day: Wii U ME3 has an enhanced storyline. I really hope it's not just the extended cut, but an all new bunch of Wii U exclusive content. Then I can nearly guarantee you I'll buy the N7 edition (missed out the first time around). Even if I won't even have a Wii U yet.
  11. Then cease all work on Wii Fit U and Nintendoland, then move all those resources to some other core projects!
  12. Miyamoto Speaks About Zelda Wii U

I'm not sure. The motion controls were good, but not as good as I'd wish. I'm so pissed I have to recalibrate the aim of the sword all the time. Also, it actually felt inaccurate. I made upwards swipes and Link made sideways. And I need to make my sword slashes with both hands, because the Nunchuck cord is too short. The art direction in last years tech demo: that's how the next Zelda should look. Just make them even more advanced. Then make it take place in a truly open Hyrule. No skinny corridors connecting some open areas. A truly free GTA: San Andreas-style overworld, just to make the world feel real. And a Lost Woods that actually looks and feels like a magic forrest. Like a true open forrest with rich plant life, sort of like Crysis. And no f***ing floating baloon castles!
  13. Wii U = DreamCast

Umm... what? How would that work? That's the whole point of counting games per console. I don't think that's going to have an effect either. Non-gamers are going to buy whatever is trendy, they won't do their research. And whatever they read about E3 will have no bearing on what they buy. Trust me, I've seen plenty of parents being suckered into buying original Xbox's a week before the launch of the 360. My mum was suckered in to buying a Master System, for which she wasn't able to find games anywhere after that final christmas season. So she bought me a console for which I only ever was able to get two games. And Heroes of the Lance was one of them (I've seen it in several lists of the worst game of all time). Like how people whom don't care about cars make very poor research. Let's face it, if casual consumers knew how to make proper research, the whole french auto industry, plus Opel/Vauxhall would be gone by now and all footy moms would be driving Saabs because of their supperior safety features. But that's not what's happened, is it?
  14. Mass Effect 3

I'm quite certain that EA are going to bring out more Mass Effect. It's too big of a franchise to kill off. We can hope that EA are going to bring out ME2 as well, maybe even buy the ME1 distribution rights from Microsoft so the Wii U and PS3 can get ports (unlikely). It's more likely that EA are releasing ME3 to make Wii U owners buy the upcoming spinoffs.
  15. EA Sports Games Are Coming

Well, EA did have a grudge against Sega and ignored the Dreamcast... which is a shame, I'd love to have seen Need for Speed: High Stakes with DC grade graphics. But yeah, EA support is a given. Plus, we already knew we were getting Mass Effect 3.
  16. But they didn't really announce enough stuff to justify having three separate shows. They could easily have fit everything into their main conference.
  17. Not staying up. Hopefully Nintendo will do something to fix this complete and utter disaster.
  18. Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge

A glimpse of hope on the otherwise lackluster Wii U lineup.
  19. The Wonderful 101

Yes, of course. My point wasn't that that makes the game bad. It just makes the game seem like yet another underwhelming Wii U trailer. If Nintendo had shown more and better core games, this might have been perceived as a breath of fresh air. Now it's just perceived as a part of Nintendos lackluster launch lineup. This is made by Platinum games. The guys who are giving the other consoles Metal Gear Rising. While we get... this.
  20. GamePad Battery Life.

I don't see the issue. The tablet isn't a portable console, so if the battery runs out, just plug it in and play while charging.
  21. Nintendo Conference (5.00pm - 5th June)

Nintendo may not have the experience themselves, but they seem to at one point have realised the value of exclusive first person shooters. That's why Perfect Dark ended so suddenly and a whole bunch of features were cut. Because the game had been in development for so long, the team that worked on it was replaced and the new one received the instruction "just finish it". I don't know if they were fired or just moved to another project, probably the latter. Did Nintendo ever say it was about the next six months or launch? This E3 was a complete disaster on all levels. They started strong with Pikmin, Reggie talked about there not being time to talk about the Wii U's features or the 3DS because they were going to talk about GAMES. And then they didn't show any. I watched E3 with friends and we all sat silently throughout every presentation (except when EA and Microsoft droaned on about sports and other c**p). Even though we had a particular interest in Nintendo, we just started talking on and on. One of us even left halfway through the presentation to buy an energy drink so he'd be able to stay awake. Are you asking about how many launch games we buy or how many games we buy at launch? I usually buy two launch games, but I tend to buy a larger ammount of launch games during the following months. I'm not expecting the whole roster at launch. But I most definitely want everything to at some point during the Wii U's lifespan. And right now it seems like that aint happening. No we don't. We know Wii didn't get F-Zero, Starfox, Excitebike, 1080 or Waverace. We know that we got a Zelda less than a year ago. What we do know is that Nintendo are releasing both a sequel to Wii Fit and Wii Sports at launch. What we know is that Nintendo are giving us a cheap New Mario Bros game, which while being a fun distraction is no substitute for Mario Galaxy, Zelda, Metroid F-Zero or anything else. The games you mention have been in development for some time if we're lucky. But we have no confirmation of this. For all we know, Nintendo have treated Retro as badly as M$ have treated Rare, and they'll be doing Wii Play U or some other garbage. The only conclusion you can draw from this is that Nintendo have fallen into the same trap as with the Wii, expecting third parties to release core content, while Nintendo continue to print money from games like Wii Fit. But like they said on todays Bonus Round: they don't seem to have realised that that market is GONE. They bought Wiis and don't see the point of buying a Wii U. They're playing Angry Birds on smartphones and tablets. What Nintendo should've done was to convince everyone that it's a true next gen system. That if the core gamers want the best graphics and most advanced gameplay, they can either bancrupt themselves buying a gaming computer, or buy a Wii U. My point exactly. If Reggie just SAID that those games are in the works, that would have been a vast improvement.
  22. Nintendo Land

It's Wii Sports for the Wii U. Only this time it's dragging other, much better franchises with it. Did you watch the post-presentation thing? That god awful Donkey Kong themed thing? The F-Zero thing with Miis, which from what I've heard is über slow, so casuals can play it and also has worse graphics than F-Zero GX. Heck, the art style makes it look worse than F-Zero X. Or that Zelda garbage, where Link looks like a poor mans Little Big Planet character. Link should NEVER be a poor mans anything! Zelda was and should remain the creme de la creme of videogames. Whether any of the minigames are any good doesen't matter. From what I've heard people saying, Nintendo will be able to track what players are doing, to know what people like and dislike. Well, then I want my total play time on that game to be ZERO. If my casual friend whom knows it's packed with the Wii U comes over and asks to play it, I want to say "Sorry, we can't play it, I 'accidentaly' blended it", just so my playtime will remain zero. I hope that all gamers will unite and show Nintendo what we think of this garbage, this blasphemy, so they'll start making real games again. Yes, that would be glorious: turn it in to a movement where Nintendo fans record themselves blending, burning och in other ways destroying their factory sealed Nintendoland discs, so that noone at Nintendo will be able to access the internet without hearing about this "hot new craze". Nintendo have super talented studios, they have many of the best games of all times on their resumé. So why did they show this turkey on an E3 Expo that they KNEW would make or break the Wii U? I was more hyped after seing the Zelda demo last year, than from seeing anything Nintendo showed yesterday. I'd pay that much if the Wii U came packed in with it. If on the other hand it comes packed with the Wii U (more likely:nono:), I'll destroy it without even playing it.
  23. Nintendo Conference (5.00pm - 5th June)

All that you said is true. Except for Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, where Nintendo in fact had a lot to say. In fact, Nintendo were the ones whom bought the Bond license and then gave it to Rare and to my recolection, Nintendo were the ones whom decided that the team needed to be replaced so that Perfect Dark would come out before Nintendo killed off the N64. But the result is that Nintendo have turned up with bupcus. They have shown their new console for a second time, this time not talking about the consoles features, because they wanted to talk as much as possible about games. And then they showed no games. I just know about four games I guess I could potentially consider buying: ZombiU, Pikmin, Mass Effect 3 and Aliens. Mass Effect 3 is already out, ZombiU was shown the day before and Aliens was shown a full YEAR earlier. And Pikmin was hinted at long in advance. Nintendo either need to announce a whole bunch of exclusive core games, or the Wii U is the first Nintendo console since the Game Boy Advance that I won't buy. True story! I agree with everything said here:
  24. Nintendo Land

Yes, home consoles please. And don't make it casual friendly. Seriously, they completely mangled the heck out of Pilotwings Resort. One tiny island? F**king Miis instead of Goose and the guys? This game is a disaster and I hope you all will stick your Nintendo Land discs in a blender, along with the still packaged box.
  25. Nintendo Conference (5.00pm - 5th June)

When is that showcase of the 3DS games? And also, what do you consider the likelyhood of Nintendo showing more Wii U games? I'm a Nintendo gamer and that's what I've been missing this generation. So we got two Mario platformers, fine. But where's Starfox, F-Zero, Waverace, 1080, a spiritual successor to Goldeneye and Perfect Dark? Mother? Excitebike? Why did we only get one Zelda ten minutes before the console died? (No, TP is a cheap and nasty Gamecube port and doesen't count) Why didn't Nintendo talk with some developer to bring out an exclusive entry/remake of a popular franchise which usualy isn't on Nintendo consoles (like MGS: Twin Snakes).
