  1. That looks truly awful. What's more horrifying is that he suggests you shouldn't grab a woman's breasts because, "security might get involved" or "you'll get chucked out," or even have "all kinds of problems." It doesn't suggest that perhaps you shouldn't grab woman's breasts unless they want you to? Ugh.

  2. I'm up the 70 hours but only HR 12. Don't care, loving every moment. :bouncy:

Don't understand the complaints about multiplayer either. I've been able to do every quest with my partner, even story ones. We just made a squad and make sure we're always in the same session.

I played the MH on the Wii and thought it was overly complicated, but absolutely adore this one. Also don't understand disliking movement whilst drinking potions, you barely move.

  3. I bought it too, after playing one on the WiiU (I think?) and not really liking it. Really addicted to this one though, even if I'm pretty terrible so far. I've been using the light bow but it's been pretty tricky and time consuming going after the bigger monsters, though I'm guessing this is on purpose? Anyway, really enjoying it, wish I didn't have to go to work.

  4. So I finally jumped and I'm so glad I did. I'm not even that far into it (it's absolutely huge) and it's safe to say it's my favourite AC. The ancient Egyptian setting really helps. Seeing Giza as it would have been two thousand years ago is great fun.

It feels like a mixture of AC, Witcher 3 and even Horizon. Fluid gameplay, great combat and an expansive world.

Started watching Inside No. 9 earlier this week as I'd heard a lot of good things about it and was curious to see what it was like. I really enjoyed what Shearsmith and Pemberton did on Psychoville, even if I never got round to watching the second series, and really like the dark humour and writing style they present so I was cautiously optimistic about watching this.

I've ended up finishing the second series late last night on Netflix and absolutely love it. So well written and so deeply dark, jumping from humorous in one episode to heavy in the next. I especially loved the episode with the homeless guy Migg and the one in the second series (second episode I think) where it jumped through the woman's life and her relationships before that twist ending. Really heavy episodes but incredibly well done.

Itching to watch the third series and catch up what with the 4th series having just started but a fantastic tv show that I'm glad I finally watched.

It's a great show and one I only watched through for the first time recently. Had no idea what it was about and glad I kept it that way.

The symptoms it has when it's not working quite right, is that it feels like it's almost constantly swaying.  Not by much but by enough that it starts to make me feel ill.

I have had this issue before. Do you tend to leave your PS4 on rest mode? Myself and others have found that if you play VR, put the PS4 on rest mode, and the play VR again straight away, this swaying issue is more common. I try to, if I remember, turn off the PS4 completely and then turn it back on.

The problem with this, Fallout and Doom is that people have the non-VR games to compare with so they're being a bit over the top about it.

The PSVR is definitely a noticeably lower res (and generally lower quality all around) but as soon as you're immersed in it, you just don't care.  On the occasions where the stars align and I can actually get the tracking to work properly, PSVR is just as enjoyable to me as my Vive.

I very rarely, almost never, have issues with tracking. Have you got too much natural light in the room? Any mirrors or anything that could interfere with the tracking? The first day I got my PSVR the screen kept dipping to black every 30 seconds or so. Took me a while to realise it was the sunbeams shining through the slats in my blinds interfering.

And regarding graphics, I totally agree with you. Yes, they're nowhere near as modern as something like Horizon: Zero Dawn but you have to remember you're in the game.

  8. I enjoyed episode 5. I thought the black and white worked great. The shots were very reminiscent of old Twilight Zone episodes, which may have been what they were going for.

I enjoyed the whole season, and thought on average it was better than the last but lacked the real stand-out moments like San Junipero and Shut Up and Dance.

  9. Well I've been playing since launch and have had a great time. The story was fine, wasn't expecting more than we got.

Having legendary star cards doesn't help you that much really. A skilled player with no star cards could still beat an average to bad player with all star cards unlocked.

On the whole, I've found this to be much more enjoyable than the first.

Played a bit of Superhot today.

It's awesome. This is how you innovate and reinvent the FPS genre.

You played it in VR? I know I harp on about it a lot but it was an amazing experience in VR. Grabbing, throwing and firing weapons whilst ducking bullets is the closest to being in The Matrix I've ever been.

Really hope they make a fleshed out sequel.

Cheers for that pal. I'll keep in mind that I won't be having a full on sesh on christmas day then! Have used my gear vr a fair bit so hopefully have acclimatised to some extent.

Amazon have 2 move controllers for 70 quid. Seems ppreeetttyy steep, but equally I'm keen to get some before chritmas so all the family can have a go. Is that a mental price / any idea where I can get them cheaper?

I got them for 70. Haven't seen them any cheaper elsewhere. :(

      The Terrible (Reveal hidden contents)

Leia. Her death scene was actually ok. I thought it was built up and executed relatively ok...but the preceding scene where she flies back to the ship whilst in deep space was just absolutely hideous. Awful, awful scene and up there with the worst bits from the prequel trilogy. To make matters worse, the character does nothing for the rest of the film, bar the odd line here or there. They could have quite easily kept her blatantly on-screen death and then cut her for the rest of the film. The scene itself looked abysmal and so out of place. Shocking that it was allowed to be kept in the final movie!

Benecio Del Toro's character...wow. I didn't even know he was even in the film, so I perked up when I saw this obviously great Oscar winning actor on screen. What a disappointing character that he has been given. What's with the stutter/stammer, too? The plotline that he was involved it was, again, so badly out of place and pointless. They didn't need that "Casino" planet area and could have quite easily merged his character and Rose together into one, so that she was able to access the information needed to get rid of the tracker. Waste of a good actor.

The more I think about it, the more disappointed I feel. Definitely need a second viewing, but I'm in no rush to see it again.

Exactly how I feel. And yeah that Leia bit was the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in a Star Wars film, including Jar Jar.

My other half has strongly hinted that I'll be finding a ps vr under the tree. Very exciting!!

What would you psvr owners recommend as essentials? I'll be picking up Resident Evil, Res Infinite and Thumper.

Whats the deal with Move controllers? Is there a way of getting them for less than 80 quid? Is this supposed rerelease happening soon? They look worth getting for when I'm with the family over christmas but.. are they?

Move controllers are great in VR. I dislike motion controls generally but in VR they work as extensions of your hands.

As for the games Resi7 is a must. Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is a great little horror title that's pretty cheap.

Be aware thaf if you haven't played VR much there will probably be an adjustment period where you may be ill playing the first few times, especially with full-on games like Resi7. If you do feel sick stop immediately, you won't work through it, and try again when you're feeling okay. You will get used to it. A game has to be pretty full on for me to feel sick these days.

  14. That really annoys me. They shouldn't be pitching stories now they should've mapped out the whole trilogy before they started shooting TFA. No wonder directors are shitting over past decisions and making the films "their own" regardless of whether it delivers a cohesive story.

I'd already guessed episode 9 would be the last main episode:

    Spoiler

Because the story will have nowhere to go after Kylo is killed. Now they've chosen to make Rey a nobody, after his death, there won't be any Skywalker blood left.

First of all, I have to give it props for actually (mostly) being a new film this time.  Unlike Ep7, this is not a thinly veiled remake of ANH with bits of Empire thrown in (more on that in the spoilers...).

I completely disagree and think it was a blatant rip off of Empire AND Return of the Jedi. (Just read your spoilered thoughts - haha)

I really hope that you get more enjoyment out of the film from your second viewing, especially if you’re actively pursuing affection for the film!

I never want to dislike a Star Wars film and really didn't think I would. But it was only the first viewing and I'm sure there'll be parts I realise I love and other parts I grow to like.

I don't ever really see myself getting over:

    Spoiler

Leia waking up and flying through space. Surely the deus ex machina to end them all seeing as up to that point she's only been shown to hear her brother from orbit and help her feel the loss of Han.

Without proper exposition, I do not believe Luke would have tried to murder his nephew. Not after successfully saving his father. I believe that, yes, perhaps, there could have been a string of events that led Luke down that path. But it would have to have been more than just feeling a "growing darkness" in Ben.
