  1. PlayStation 4 Console Discussion

That looks truly awful. What's more horrifying is that he suggests you shouldn't grab a woman's breasts because, "security might get involved" or "you'll get chucked out," or even have "all kinds of problems." It doesn't suggest that perhaps you shouldn't grab woman's breasts unless they want you to? Ugh.
  2. Ended up a lacklustre nuisance.
  3. Star Trek Discovery (2017)

I didn't find the Tyler arc was any more or less ridiculous than most other Trek stories. I actually liked the dark tone the arc brought - Klingon torture actually looked frightening for the first time.
  4. Battlefront 2 was actually a much more enjoyable experience than the first one, which was still good. Shame the game's been lost under all the scandal. Also a bit tired of Star Wars after The Last Jedi. It's going to take another really good movie to get me back into the franchise.
  5. Star Trek Discovery (2017)

I enjoyed season one more and more as it went on. Looking forward to season two.
  6. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Geralt always handled a bit like a wheelbarrow with a broken wheel. The movement and combat was always a little rubbish. I'm really not sure what I'd think of the handling after playing Horizon or MHWorld.
  7. Monster Hunter World (PS4)

I'm up the 70 hours but only HR 12. Don't care, loving every moment. Don't understand the complaints about multiplayer either. I've been able to do every quest with my partner, even story ones. We just made a squad and make sure we're always in the same session. I played the MH on the Wii and thought it was overly complicated, but absolutely adore this one. Also don't understand disliking movement whilst drinking potions, you barely move.
  8. Playstation Plus Free Games

That's You was a great game to play on New Years. That and Overcooked.
  9. Monster Hunter World (PS4)

I bought it too, after playing one on the WiiU (I think?) and not really liking it. Really addicted to this one though, even if I'm pretty terrible so far. I've been using the light bow but it's been pretty tricky and time consuming going after the bigger monsters, though I'm guessing this is on purpose? Anyway, really enjoying it, wish I didn't have to go to work.
  10. Assassin's Creed: Origins

So I finally jumped and I'm so glad I did. I'm not even that far into it (it's absolutely huge) and it's safe to say it's my favourite AC. The ancient Egyptian setting really helps. Seeing Giza as it would have been two thousand years ago is great fun. It feels like a mixture of AC, Witcher 3 and even Horizon. Fluid gameplay, great combat and an expansive world.
  11. General TV Thread

It's a great show and one I only watched through for the first time recently. Had no idea what it was about and glad I kept it that way.
  12. Virtual Reality

I have had this issue before. Do you tend to leave your PS4 on rest mode? Myself and others have found that if you play VR, put the PS4 on rest mode, and the play VR again straight away, this swaying issue is more common. I try to, if I remember, turn off the PS4 completely and then turn it back on.
  13. Resident Evil VII

I've never played Resi 5 or 6. I've been warned off of them before but are they really that bad? Couch co-op seems fun? Are they broken or just too action-heavy for most Resi fans?
  14. Virtual Reality

I very rarely, almost never, have issues with tracking. Have you got too much natural light in the room? Any mirrors or anything that could interfere with the tracking? The first day I got my PSVR the screen kept dipping to black every 30 seconds or so. Took me a while to realise it was the sunbeams shining through the slats in my blinds interfering. And regarding graphics, I totally agree with you. Yes, they're nowhere near as modern as something like Horizon: Zero Dawn but you have to remember you're in the game.
  15. Black Mirror

I enjoyed episode 5. I thought the black and white worked great. The shots were very reminiscent of old Twilight Zone episodes, which may have been what they were going for. I enjoyed the whole season, and thought on average it was better than the last but lacked the real stand-out moments like San Junipero and Shut Up and Dance.
  16. Star Wars Battlefront 2 (all eras)

Well I've been playing since launch and have had a great time. The story was fine, wasn't expecting more than we got. Having legendary star cards doesn't help you that much really. A skilled player with no star cards could still beat an average to bad player with all star cards unlocked. On the whole, I've found this to be much more enjoyable than the first.

You played it in VR? I know I harp on about it a lot but it was an amazing experience in VR. Grabbing, throwing and firing weapons whilst ducking bullets is the closest to being in The Matrix I've ever been. Really hope they make a fleshed out sequel.
  18. Virtual Reality

I got them for 70. Haven't seen them any cheaper elsewhere.
  19. Exactly how I feel. And yeah that Leia bit was the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in a Star Wars film, including Jar Jar.
  20. Virtual Reality

Move controllers are great in VR. I dislike motion controls generally but in VR they work as extensions of your hands. As for the games Resi7 is a must. Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is a great little horror title that's pretty cheap. Be aware thaf if you haven't played VR much there will probably be an adjustment period where you may be ill playing the first few times, especially with full-on games like Resi7. If you do feel sick stop immediately, you won't work through it, and try again when you're feeling okay. You will get used to it. A game has to be pretty full on for me to feel sick these days.
  21. That really annoys me. They shouldn't be pitching stories now they should've mapped out the whole trilogy before they started shooting TFA. No wonder directors are shitting over past decisions and making the films "their own" regardless of whether it delivers a cohesive story. I'd already guessed episode 9 would be the last main episode:
  22. I completely disagree and think it was a blatant rip off of Empire AND Return of the Jedi. (Just read your spoilered thoughts - haha)
  23. I never want to dislike a Star Wars film and really didn't think I would. But it was only the first viewing and I'm sure there'll be parts I realise I love and other parts I grow to like. I don't ever really see myself getting over:
  24. I'm going to see it again on Sunday. I'm determined to like it.
